[As expected of Eileen, always decisive in killing. So satisfying to watch.]
[Shouldn’t we be focusing on a different issue here? Why did Amelia tell Eileen to kill Molly? This plot never happened before!]
[Could this be a remake? Why would the studio suddenly do a remake?]
[Hey, bros, a remake means we get to watch it as a new show! Isn’t that great? We can see even more sides of Eileen.]
[Eileen, the Eternal God!]
While the bullet comments argued, Amelia clutched her stomach, leaning against a dusty pillar of a nearby building. A bloodied head had suddenly rolled out before her; the impact was quite significant. Before her transmigration, she had never witnessed such a scene.
“Your Majesty, are you alright?”
Eileen sheathed her sword and rushed to Amelia’s side, asking with concern.
Amelia took several deep breaths of the hot, heavy air and replied, “I’m fine, mostly. Eileen, what should we do now to escape this place?”
The fall of the Steele Kingdom was inevitable. All Amelia could do was flee.
The secret passage Molly had mentioned was definitely unusable now. Amelia placed all her hopes entirely on Eileen.
Since this world originally had a drama centered on Eileen as the protagonist, and Eileen was someone loyal to the Steele Kingdom who would never surrender, she must have originally found another way to escape alive.
“Escape route? That is for Your Majesty to decide. Whatever decision Your Majesty makes, I will follow unto death,” Eileen stated firmly.
“Eileen,” Amelia said earnestly, her tone deepening, “You should know, I usually live in the outside world and spend little time in the castle. I’m not familiar with its layout and have no idea how to leave here safely. So, this must be decided by you.”
“But…” Eileen hesitated slightly.
“Eileen, my life or death rests with you. I have faith in you.” Amelia looked deeply into Eileen’s eyes.
[Tsk, tsk, Amelia is finally catching a clue.]
[Eileen is the password that actually works.]
[But whether Amelia survives is still uncertain. Even Eileen faced countless difficulties and was covered in wounds when she originally escaped.]
Seeing the unwavering trust in Amelia’s eyes, a chord was struck within Eileen’s heart.
She nodded seriously, then began contemplating a means of escape.
As a member of the Royal Guard, she knew every corner of the castle and the entire Royal Capital intimately. After thinking for just a moment, a potential escape route formed in her mind.
“Your Majesty, please follow me.”
“Alright.”
Eileen walked ahead, with Amelia closely following behind.
They quickly arrived at the edge of the castle grounds. From there, one could see the barrier enveloping the castle more clearly. The pale purple barrier was now covered in cracks, and those cracks were visibly expanding.
Beneath the barrier stood the castle’s towering walls. But no matter how high the walls were, once the barrier shattered, they would be powerless against the armies of the three kingdoms.
“Your Majesty, right here.” Eileen stopped beside a well.
“This is…”
Amelia stared at the well, searching through the original host’s memories, but found no useful information.
However, after glancing at the bullet comments, she understood the situation.
“This connects to an underground river passage. You can swim directly outside the Royal Capital. It’s a very well-hidden location,” Eileen explained briefly.
She knew this because, as a child, she had accidentally dropped something valuable into the well, only to later find the lost item in a river outside the Royal Capital.
Once she grew older, she found an opportunity to dive into the well water and test her theory, confirming the existence of the underground river passage.
“I understand. We’ll leave from here.”
Even if they made it outside the Royal Capital via this route, Amelia knew it didn’t represent true escape. The bullet comments said Eileen had been covered in wounds when she got out, indicating other dangers existed. Getting out of the castle was just the first step.
Just then, Eileen first removed her armor and tossed it into the well water. Wearing it would hinder her swimming.
With the armor off, she wore only a white inner garment. As it was long-sleeved and full-length, nothing was revealed, only the delicate, graceful silhouette of a young woman could be faintly seen.
Noticing this, Amelia checked her own attire. She was wearing a gorgeous, form-fitting black dress that didn’t seem like it would restrict her movements too much.
“Boom!”
At that very moment, accompanied by a tremendous roaring sound, the barrier covering the castle shattered on the spot! The sounds of killing from outside instantly grew tenfold, and the stench of blood swept into the castle like a gale.
Both Amelia’s and Eileen’s expressions shifted dramatically.
“Your Majesty!”
“I know.”
Without daring another moment of hesitation, Amelia plunged straight into the well water with a splash.
Eileen followed right behind, landing beside Amelia. “Your Majesty, the distance from here to the river outside the Royal Capital is considerable. It requires holding your breath for a long time. Please prepare yourself.”
“I’m ready.” Amelia took a deep breath.
“Your Majesty, forgive my transgression.”
Eileen grabbed Amelia’s hand and then, immediately diving deep into the water, pulled Amelia beneath the surface.
Inside the castle, the armies of the three kingdoms surged in with unrestrained ferocity.
The earth was torn apart, buildings collapsed one after another, raging flames burned everywhere, and this castle that had stood for decades crumbled into ruins, officially sealing the demise of the Steele Kingdom.
“Report! We found Lionel’s body, but there’s no sign of Amelia.”
“Keep searching! She must face our judgment, even if it’s just her corpse!”
“Understood!”
“Gurgle gurgle…”
The sound of rushing water echoed constantly in her ears. A drowning sensation made Amelia feel intensely uncomfortable.
She forced her eyes open. The space around her was cramped and dark. She could see nothing clearly, and instead, the feeling of suffocation grew stronger and stronger.
Amelia had overestimated her diving ability. After swimming underwater for a while, her instinct urged her to surface, but this was an underground river passage, like a pipe, with no surface to breach.
“Mmph…”
Unable to control herself, she opened her mouth. Immediately, a large amount of water rushed in, causing her delicate face to contort in pain.
Could it be that she wouldn’t die at the hands of the Three Kingdoms Allied Forces, but would drown here instead?
It was so painful!
So, so painful!
All her strength began to drain away. Unable to swim anymore, she felt her mind sinking into complete darkness.
Was she dying?
Just as Amelia felt utterly terrible, she suddenly sensed a pair of arms wrapping tightly around her. Then, a warm, soft sensation pressed against her lips, and air was breathed into her mouth.
