Chapter 33: Little Fool

The cold moonlight spilled into the alley, settling upon Amelia’s figure.

Even though she was travel-worn, covered in dust and grime, hadn’t bathed in many days, and wore tattered clothes, at this moment, she appeared somewhat saintly in Eileen’s eyes.

Eileen looked at her, completely stunned.

No one had ever cared for her this much.

Amelia held Eileen tightly and whispered, “Eileen, promise me that if something like this ever happens again, you won’t hide it from me. You’ll tell me first.”

“…I understand.”

Eileen leaned gently into Amelia’s embrace, allowing herself to relax in a way she rarely did.

It had always been her taking care of Amelia, but now she realized that Amelia seemed able to take care of her as well.

These fabric scraps were, naturally, provided by the Iris.

“Let’s move.”

Sensing the Bargas Kingdom people spreading out to search the perimeter, Amelia immediately pulled Eileen away.

“Will this kind of framing actually work?” Eileen looked back and asked.

“It will work,” Amelia affirmed.

The bullet comments had already indicated that in the original plot, the Iris successfully seized the Mana Crystal Cannon.

Rhine City could be considered a major junction. Amelia led Eileen through twists and turns, and before long, they were far from their previous location.

Coming to another dark alley, Amelia murmured, “How can I ensure we both leave Rhine City safely and kill Lester?”

“Miss Lia, this matter is extremely risky. Why don’t we put aside the issue of Lester for now?” Eileen suggested upon hearing this.

Amelia wasn’t really asking Eileen, but rather the bullet comments.
