Chapter 154: True Vision (Conclusion) Part 1

Wang Yue continued her monitoring, discovering that structural pollution was almost nonexistent here.

The structure of the rule-power possessed by Biheze was remarkably stable, running smoothly with excellent optimization. In contrast, the rule-power wielded by the Iron-Flow Giant Stag that had attacked Fishmouth Town was imperfect and riddled with logical errors. Forcing those flawed rules to operate had caused massive pollution leakage—a byproduct of sheer inefficiency.

They were inside a mountain cavity, where a wide path carved through the cavern led toward the outside world. The tunnel she had opened with witchcraft sat at a twenty-meter drop from the cavern floor.

Looking closely, she realized this was an ancient ruin.

The rocks on the floor were meticulously carved into geometric representations of animals and insects, presented in a strange, flattened four-sided state that radiated an aura of ancient sanctity.

The walls were adorned with majestic images of the wise Star-Gazing Insectoids. They held scepters, their torsos upright and their segmented legs folded across their chests in a posture of dignity. Their curves were elegant, rendered with the grace of fine art.

The persistent humidity and gentle air currents of the cavern had eroded the edges of these ancient sculptures into a crushed, mylonitic texture that looked as though it would crumble at a touch. However, the giant Stone Lock Plate sealing Biheze looked as brand new as the day it was forged.

“The Stone Lock Plate possesses the transcendent traits of ‘Stability’ and ‘Immortality.’ Heavens, how long has this poor wretch been sealed here?”

Wang Yue’s gaze shifted to the deep pit beneath Biheze.

This was not a natural geological feature. The bedrock had been pulverized into fine dust that accumulated at the bottom, while biotite, malachite, and azurite had been extracted and carved into various geometric masks. These were clearly the handiwork of Biheze during its long eons of imprisonment.

At that moment, the pinned black gecko twitched. The black goo coating its body began to churn, bubbling and bursting violently!

The viscous slime flowed together like melting asphalt, dripping onto the ground in large globs. Upon impact, they transformed into tar-monsters, sprouting mollusk-like pseudopods. They crawled toward the stone masks, adhering to them. As they donned the masks, it was as if they had been injected with souls; the soft goo gained rigid support, along with a surge of strength and speed.

“The shapes of these stone masks align with the rules. By combining with the black goo and being injected with commands, they act as the monsters’ cores,” Wang Yue analyzed. “This is its last resort, the product of efforts made over countless years.”

“Hmm~” Lilith’s voice suddenly became long and sharp, her eyes turning a blood-red as she entered a strange, heightened state. “I can see it’s trying very hard. It really wants to live…”

“The black goo itself isn’t aggressive. If we destroy all the masks, it will be at our mercy. Let’s go!”

Before Wang Yue even finished jumping down, she saw a blur of motion—faster than the eye could track—streak toward the floor. Lilith landed and pivoted sharply, a bright, ethereal arc of a blade-flash pulling straight toward the nearest mask-monster!

The petite figure stopped abruptly, followed by a heavy, powerful slash! With a sharp crack, a stone mask was split in two. Only then did her blonde hair, freed from her headscarf, flutter softly into place.

She’s even stronger than before…

A thought flashed through Wang Yue’s mind: if they were in a low-magic or no-magic world, Lilith would absolutely dominate anyone. It was terrifying—she could change direction at high speeds while her knees still had plenty of structural margin left. She could cleave through rock with a heavy strike without the recoil injuring her wrists.

One had to remember that the witch-runes on the Kwaiken hadn’t even been activated yet; she was using a mundane blade to slice through stone with nothing but raw strength.

On the surface, she looked like a girl with a perfectly graceful physique, but you only felt the difference if you touched her—she was incredibly elastic and abnormally soft, as if you could press right down to the bone. Wang Yue pinched her own thigh, realizing they were made of entirely different materials.

“Off with their heads! Chop-chop!”

Lilith let out a cheerful cry. Her toes kicked off the ground as she zig-zagged through the air. Sharp arcs of blade-light whirled through the cavity, accompanied by the crisp sound of shattering stone. In an instant, she had cut down seven or eight mask-monsters.

The sight of a human girl in a dress go on a killing spree against a dark god’s minions was so captivating that Wang Yue momentarily forgot to act. After admiring Lilith’s fluid movements for a while, Wang Yue decided it was best to end this quickly. She extended her wand and splashed her witchcraft across the room, sweeping away the remaining mask-monsters in one go.

“Leave a few for me!” Lilith pouted, turning back with an annoyed look.

At the foot of the mountain.

The Faceless Priest leading the group suddenly received a distress signal from Biheze.
