After summoning the Dream Ruins panel, Bai Sha first took out the Electric Crystal and attempted to sell it.
As she chose to sell, accompanied by a wave of spatial fluctuation, the Electric Crystal disappeared before her eyes, and her Contribution Points shot up to 18,500 in one go.
“An Electric Crystal has such high value?”
Bai Sha’s spirits lifted.
The fact that she could still sell things also made her very happy. She figured that goods sold at the Seven-Colored Shell in the Eastern Sea should be teleported to the Demon Alliance’s warehouse for storage, then selectively transferred to the Sunlight Sea side. So, selling was still possible.
As for buying, it probably wasn’t that everything was unavailable. Items stored here in the Eastern Sea should still be purchasable.
Next, Bai Sha continued by taking out the array cores from the Boulder Pile and the Lake, selling them for 15,000 and 16,500 respectively.
Adding the price of the Electric Crystal, she had gained a grand total of 50,000 Contribution Points!
“Pity all the Ancient Forbidden Artifacts can’t be sold for now.”
Bai Sha opened the trading interface, glanced at it, then put it away, turning her attention to the Chat Section.
The posts in the Chat Section had dwindled significantly. After looking through them, Bai Sha deduced that only posts from the Eastern Sea currently appeared there; all information from the Sunlight Sea side had completely vanished.
After browsing the information for a while, Bai Sha put away the Dream Ruins panel and left the Rest Shell.
Outside was still bustling. Numerous Demon Cultivators were discussing the changes in the Dream Ruins. None knew the true cause of the changes lay with the Heavenly Devil Palace; they genuinely believed there was a minor problem with the Teleportation Array.
Bai Sha silently swam through the seawater and arrived near the Cultivation Shells.
Perhaps because the vast majority of items in the Dream Ruins were now unavailable for purchase, leaving too many Demon Cultivators with surplus Contribution Points, the number choosing to cultivate in the Cultivation Shells had skyrocketed compared to before.
After a sweeping glance, Bai Sha chose a Cultivation Shell and entered it.
Once the Cultivation Shell closed, Bai Sha deftly selected several functions, boosting her comprehension, her mental processing speed, and adding a simulation of the environment.
She planned to first master her spells.
Back at the Hundred Demon Territory Market, she had traded for over a dozen spells. Trying to grasp them solely through her own comprehension would be too slow; it was better to do so with the Cultivation Shell’s assistance.
The first spell was called Water Repelling. It could create an air bubble in the seawater to isolate it, its size depending on the caster’s strength.
Bai Sha felt a need for this kind of seawater-isolating spell. For instance, the stack of formation books she had obtained on Lost Island—if she took them out to read directly on the seabed, they would likely be ruined in an instant. She needed a way to repel the water.
“As expected of a Cultivation Shell.”
With her various conditions enhanced, it didn’t take Bai Sha long to gain a general understanding of the Water Repelling spell.
In just a single day, Bai Sha had completely internalized the Water Repelling spell. She then started on her second.
For the second spell, she chose an offensive type, but as she learned, she quickly noticed a problem.
The spell was flawed. Many critical points were omitted, and missing this content made it utterly impossible to learn.
“He actually tricked me?”
Bai Sha wasn’t particularly surprised.
Exchanging spells with other Demon Cultivators was inherently an unsecured transaction; there was no one to verify the authenticity of a spell.
But those who deceived others with fake spells would have to pay the price!
Bai Sha remembered every single Demon Cultivator she had traded spells with. She silently noted the ones who had swindled her with false spells, then turned her focus to the next spell.
In the blink of an eye, four days passed.
Four days—neither too long nor too short. It was enough for Bai Sha to distinguish between the dozen or so spells she had traded for and determine which were useful.
The result was not cheerful. Out of over a dozen spells, including the initial Water Repelling, only a total of three were usable.
Besides Water Repelling, the other two were called Vine Manipulation Art and Hardening Art.
Vine Manipulation Art allowed the caster to manipulate vegetation; the stronger the caster, the more control they exerted.
Hardening Art could temporarily harden one’s body, serving as a defensive spell.
These three spells were decent enough, but the fact that only three out of over a dozen were actually functional left Bai Sha quite speechless.
Bai Sha now understood: trading spells with other Demon Cultivators in places like markets was far too unreliable, since there were simply too many swindlers these days.
“Using spells that are impossible to learn to trick me out of mine? You lot, I’ll settle the score with you later.”
Bai Sha muttered to herself.
She also stopped her spell studies at this point and looked at the Cultivation Shell’s panel in front of her.
She hadn’t stopped because she was finished learning; she hadn’t yet fully mastered the Vine Manipulation Art or Hardening Art. She had stopped because she was forced to.
“The Cultivation Shell will undergo temporary maintenance. Please check back for when it ends. Unused Contribution Points have been fully refunded.”
The Cultivation Shells were unusable.
Bai Sha didn’t know why this was happening and could only leave the Cultivation Shell first.
All around her, individual Cultivation Shells were opening, and Demon Cultivators emerged one by one, wearing expressions of confusion, looking as if they had no idea what had happened.
“Why can’t we use the Cultivation Shells either?”
“Maintenance? Why do I feel things aren’t that simple?”
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
“I also feel like something big is about to happen.”
The Demon Cultivators discussed amongst themselves, their expressions all quite solemn.
Bai Sha didn’t join the discussion. Instead, she swam over to the Rest Shells.
After summoning the Dream Ruins panel, Bai Sha examined the various sections of the trading interface and finally made a decision.
“In this life, I probably won’t live to see the Dream Ruins return to normal. But I can’t let my Contribution Points go to waste. I suppose I’ll have to do this.”
She opened the Talisman Paper section to look around.
Talisman Papers could be activated simply by channeling Demonic Power into them, making them the best items for temporarily boosting one’s combat strength.
Since they were single-use items, their prices were relatively inexpensive.
With the Cultivation Shells now unusable, Bai Sha still had close to 30,000 Contribution Points remaining. She then took out the formation materials stored in her Blue Spirit Pearl and sold them off, pushing her total Contribution Points back over 50,000.
Over 50,000 Contribution Points was undoubtedly a colossal sum. It was even enough to purchase Transformation Stage-level Talisman Papers.
To be precise, Transformation Stage-level Talisman Papers typically cost between 20,000 and 21,000 each. Bai Sha could even afford two!
Coincidentally, within the Talisman Section at that very moment, there were exactly the last two Transformation Stage Talisman Papers available. The rest had all been marked as sold out.
