Streaks of Bloodthirsty Swordfish cut through the ocean.
The leader, Jian Song, was in a heavy mood.
Three months ago, after many members of the Bloodthirsty Swordfish Clan passed by the Coral Abyss, they had somehow come into conflict with a group of Demon Cultivators and were ultimately all slaughtered. This was undoubtedly a massive blow to the Bloodthirsty Swordfish Clan.
Because of this, the remaining members had been investigating the matter, wanting to find out exactly who had attacked their clan.
But before the culprits could be found, another problem presented itself.
They discovered that outside the Bloodthirsty Swordfish Clan, there existed another Demon Cultivator cultivating the “Raging Waves Art”.
This was incredibly baffling to them. Aside from the Bloodthirsty Swordfish Clan, all other Demon Cultivators practicing the “Raging Waves Art” should have been wiped out. Why did such a cultivator still exist?
What frightened them even more was that after investigating, they found the “Raging Waves Art” was being sold in the Dream Ruins!
Undoubtedly, someone had sold the “Raging Waves Art” into the Dream Ruins, which was why the Dream Ruins was selling it.
These emerging situations left the already crippled Bloodthirsty Swordfish Clan overwhelmed. Ultimately, they decided to first deal with the Demon Cultivator cultivating the “Raging Waves Art”. The issue of the Dream Ruins would have to wait.
After all, that was the Dream Ruins!
So, after making some preparations, Jian Song led his clansmen to White Shark Territory.
“It should be just ahead. There’s a fellow here cultivating the ‘Raging Waves Art’. We can’t let him go.”
Jian Song looked at the distant White Shark Territory, his gaze flickering.
He had a scythe-like dorsal fin, a crescent-moon-shaped tail fin, and pectoral fins set low on his belly. His body was slender, with a long, sword-like snout, and his skin was blood-red.
Actually, all the other Bloodthirsty Swordfish looked the same.
They shot through the ocean like streaks of red bloodlines, moving at considerable speed.
When they approached a certain distance from White Shark Territory, Jian Song abruptly halted, causing all the Bloodthirsty Swordfish following him to stop as well.
“An array?” Jian Song swept his gaze around, noticing this fact.
Although he didn’t know what kind of array it was, its mere presence meant they couldn’t recklessly barge in.
Thinking this, Jian Song immediately retrieved his Storage Artifact, a black orb.
He then took out one Array Plate after another and handed them to the other Bloodthirsty Swordfish, starting to set them up around the perimeter of White Shark Territory.
“Array Plates?”
Within the Light and Shadow Array, Bai Sha watched with interest.
As the Bloodthirsty Swordfish approached, Bai Sha had been observing them. She noticed that their leader was at the Mid-stage of Foundation Establishment—likely a recent breakthrough. Previously, among the Bloodthirsty Swordfish, only Jian Yun, now dead, had been at that level.
The cultivation levels of the Bloodthirsty Swordfish weren’t a major concern. What truly interested Bai Sha were the Array Plates they brought out.
An Array Plate was a way to condense an array into a small object. This object was usually specially crafted, resembling a disc about the size of a washbasin. To use it, one simply needed to input Demonic Power, activating the stored array.
Both were tools that didn’t require mastery to use, but Array Plates were much more expensive than Talisman Paper because Talisman Paper was single-use, while Array Plates could be reused.
The Bloodthirsty Swordfish brought out five Array Plates, placing them at different positions outside White Shark Territory before activating them simultaneously.
In the next moment, an ice dragon rose from one Array Plate, emitting waves of frosty chill that slowed the flow of the surrounding seawater. The water closer to it even froze solid, looking ferocious and terrifying.
On another Array Plate, storm clouds materialized, and electric light spread out, rapidly transmitting through the seawater. A large area of water sparkled with arcs of electricity, impossible to approach.
From a third Array Plate, swords flew up, poised to thrust outward.
A fourth Array Plate manifested a massive skeletal claw, ready to strike.
The final Array Plate produced a polyhedral crystal that spun rapidly, its function unclear for the moment.
With the five arrays deployed, Jian Song outside finally felt at ease.
He looked toward the direction of the Light and Shadow Array and spoke in a deep voice, “I know you’re nearby. Come out. Many issues can’t be resolved by hiding forever.”
Bai Sha smiled slightly and swam out from the Light and Shadow Array.
As she appeared, the gazes of the Bloodthirsty Swordfish all fell upon her, filled with scrutiny.
After looking at her for a moment, Jian Song asked in a low voice, “The art you cultivate is the ‘Raging Waves Art’, isn’t it? Where did you get it?”
“Why should I tell you?” Bai Sha countered leisurely.
“If you refuse to tell us, we’ll have to take action,” Jian Song threatened.
As he spoke, the five deployed arrays emanated even stronger auras. This was because some Bloodthirsty Swordfish were inputting Demonic Power, putting the arrays in a state of imminent attack.
Bai Sha found it somewhat amusing. An ordinary Demon Cultivator at the Mid-stage of Foundation Establishment might indeed be at a loss when faced with such a situation.
But unfortunately for the Bloodthirsty Swordfish, they were facing her.
“Five arrays, is that what you’re relying on?” Bai Sha remained unhurried.
“Are five arrays not enough?” Jian Song stared coldly at Bai Sha. “You can’t retreat into the array behind you now. No matter how fast you are, you won’t be faster than an array’s attack.”
“You can’t conclude that without testing it, can you? Haven’t you considered that the outcome might be different from what you expect?”
Bai Sha said with a smile, not only refraining from retreating but instead swinging her tail fin and slowly swimming toward the Bloodthirsty Swordfish.
This behavior puzzled Jian Song. He couldn’t tell where Bai Sha’s confidence came from.
He could see she was only at the Mid-stage of Foundation Establishment. Such a cultivation level alone was no match for them, let alone when they also had five Foundation Establishment-level arrays active.
Unable to figure it out, Jian Song simply stopped thinking. “Attack,” he commanded coldly.
Since the other party wasn’t willing to talk, they would just capture her directly.
Throughout history, fists had always been a better means of communication than words!
Just as Jian Song’s words fell and the Bloodthirsty Swordfish controlling the arrays prepared to input their Demonic Power, Bai Sha raised a pectoral fin.
