“But there are people down there, you idiot!”
If it had just been the two of them, Xuefei could have endured it.
This kind of bizarre teasing wasn’t all that rare, either. She’d even gone along with demands like straddling the dragon tail and clamping it between her thighs…
But those moments had always happened in private, when they were alone!
Right now, though not under the scrutiny of a whole crowd of maids, there were still four others present—four powerful Dark Filths with keen senses! For them, glimpsing her most shameful side would be child’s play!
As always, Leia’s gaze and touch had been ceaselessly provocative, but this time there was something subtly different.
At Xuefei’s refusal, an unprecedented look of dejection crossed Leia’s face.
She resembled a child who had been abandoned and scolded, brimming with grievance.
Her tail slowly uncurled, releasing Xuefei’s own before drooping limply to the floor. She bowed her head, her lips pressing into a slight pout.
It had been ages since Xuefei had seen Leia looking so pitiable. First came bewilderment, then a wave of self-doubt.
“Leia, I… um…”
Had she wounded Leia by not taking the initiative?
How anxious and troubled Leia must have been. Sending her off to the Elf Kingdom had required a fierce internal battle, yet for Xuefei’s sake, she’d grudgingly consented. Even without that key in hand upon her return, there had been no word of complaint.
With all that worry weighing on her, Xuefei had come home only to greet her coldly, acting all coy and standoffish—hardly the behavior of a proper wife. So was this really just Leia’s usual playful antics? It had to be…
Even if it was all an act, Xuefei couldn’t let her pride get in the way.
Arrogance would ruin everything good. Why not try being a little gentler?
Dark Filths and Light Emissaries, rights and powers, prying eyes…
None of that mattered. All Leia wanted was her love.
“Leia… Leia…”
Xuefei’s tail gave a gentle squeeze in response, turning the tables as it coiled around Leia’s. Emboldened by the lack of resistance, her movements grew bolder still. Leia stole cautious glances at Xuefei’s face from the corner of her eye.
Dolores held her breath, utterly captivated by the unfolding exchange.
She was the first to witness Leia and Xuefei flaunting their affection so openly—a potential milestone for the ages!
Leia paid no heed to Dolores’s curiosity. She unfurled her wings languidly, like a predator lying in wait, as the little dragon girl remained lost in her own self-convincing reverie, oblivious.
“I was wrong,” Xuefei murmured.
She stepped closer until her knee brushed Leia’s.
Her cheeks burned hotter than a ripened apple as she lifted one white-stockinged leg onto Leia’s lap. Off came the shoe, and with a full-body lean, she shifted her weight entirely onto Leia’s thighs, parting her own legs wide…
Her dainty feet, soft as scoops of ice cream, settled onto the throne’s warm surface, radiating Leia’s body heat. Xuefei nestled straight into her embrace.
“Like… like this… happy now…? Geez, you’ve probably got bags under your eyes, haven’t you?” Xuefei stammered.
Leia’s cozy warmth seeped into her skin, flushing the little dragon girl’s face anew.
Xuefei fixed her gaze on those plump cherry lips, feeling Leia’s hot breath tease her neck with maddening itchiness. And still, Leia simply watched.
It wasn’t enough.
This wasn’t nearly enough.
Such paltry gestures didn’t make her a worthy wife. A few kisses and cuddles—what were they worth?
They hadn’t even kissed yet, after all.
“Dummy Leia, you’d better take responsibility properly, you jerk.”
With no response forthcoming, Xuefei seized Leia’s hands, lacing their fingers together before pinning her against the throne’s backrest. Her entire body quivered.
She’d served as a maid and even laid a dragon egg, but this level of boldness was uncharted territory.
Leia’s stunned expression spurred Xuefei onward. She inched toward that face until the sweet, plum-blossom scent filled her senses, then sealed her lips against Leia’s in a decisive kiss.
Leia barely had time to react. Caught off guard, all her predatory edge melted away as Xuefei claimed her passionately—just as Leia had once done to her. Yet Xuefei’s technique remained clumsy and fledgling. Less than a minute in, she was already gasping for air, her body radiating the thrilled, bashful surrender of the conquered.
“Mm…”
“Pfft…”
“What’s so funny?”
“This isn’t love, Xuefei. You really almost became my breeding machine, you know.”
“I was worried about you, jerk! I told you to take responsibility—you promised you would! And you ignored me! Teased me!”
Leia tapped her lightly on the forehead.
If she hadn’t used her sky-obscuring Dragon Wings to seal off that blush-worthy scene from the world, Xuefei’s little act of coquettish cuteness—which hardly even counted as an “offensive”—would surely have given Dolores a shocking revelation.
“Little fool, you don’t have to worry about me every single time.”
“Then don’t look so heartbroken. Why wear that expression? It makes me so anxious about you—no, who the hell is anxious about you? I’m just scared the kid will feel lonely, damn it!”
“Hee hee, all right, no more teasing. Time to talk business.”
Leia’s expression settled back into that enigmatic smile. She gently spun the little dragon Xuefei a full 180 degrees before nestling her once more into her lap. If the earlier motion had seemed purposeful, this one felt like pure indulgence. With her Dragon Wings spread wide, in the blind spot hidden from Dolores’s view, Xuefei’s naughty little tail coiled around Leia’s waist and wriggled restlessly.
“Dolores, explain the results of our discussion to Xuefei.”
“Yes, Dragon King.”
Dolores ascended the steps. Maryvega, now transformed by Dark Filth, started to follow but halted at Laer’s signal and returned to the Head Maid’s side.
Xuefei had a general sense of what the two had talked about—or at least, she believed she did.
It was just a question of allegiance. Dark Filth or not—why did it even need her approval?
“You really want to do this?”
“I… This is my choice. If Lady Xuefei doesn’t wish it, then I…”
Xuefei quickly shook her head.
She had a gut feeling that refusing Dolores’s request to become Dark Filth right here would plunge the woman into utter despair, no different from the broken shell she’d seen in that prison cell—perhaps even driving her to self-loathing and death. From a purely pragmatic view, a Super Tier Layer 3 powerhouse was an invaluable asset.
The Evil Dragon faction would gain a mighty general. There was no reason to turn her down.
“I’m just confirming, that’s all.”
“Understood.”
“I have to warn you—once you become Dark Filth, the [Obsession] and desires in your heart will all ignite~”
Dolores shook her head and offered a faint smile. “It’s no problem. As long as you approve, that’s enough.”
At the same moment, Leia posed her own question.
“So, Xuefei agrees?”
“I have no reason to refuse, do I?”
Xuefei muttered under her breath. She even felt the question was unnecessary. After all, she wasn’t some holier-than-thou hypocrite.
But Xuefei soon regretted her snap judgment.
She regretted her own ignorance, the depravity of Leia’s methods, and the true reason Laer and her “creations” were here.
Dolores stepped forward and clasped Xuefei’s hand. “Really? Mommy… That’s wonderful…”
“From now on, please look after me, Mommy~”
