Chapter 20: 20. “No Way?” Sure Enough, Can’t Show Leia Any Kindness

Sure enough, she couldn’t show Leia any kindness anymore.

This woman was pushing her luck, treating Xuefei like she didn’t matter at all.

“Xuefei, don’t be mad~”

Leia reached out and stroked Xuefei’s little head, but the Little Evil Dragon princess had no intention of paying her any mind.

She was furious.

The kind of anger that no amount of coaxing could soothe!

An evil dragon’s rage was terrifying. A mere breath could ignite a forest blaze, and a single roar could throw an entire plain into chaos, sending even the massive Demon beasts and top predators fleeing in panic, their souls scattered.

Xuefei felt like she could pull that off too.

Though as a little evil dragon, she wasn’t as impressively developed as Leia yet, she was still a full-grown dragon who could stand on her own and devour several human cities with ease.

“I don’t like you anymore.” Xuefei turned her head away, her little eyes gazing off into the distance—or so it seemed—before drifting back to Leia. When she realized Leia was watching her, she quickly looked away again and let out a soft huff, exhaling wisps of Blazing Fire.

Leia tried to console her. “As everyone says, we evil dragons are born from the resentment between heaven and earth. That’s why we’re immortal but struggle to produce many offspring. But this race has one fantastic advantage~”

Like a ghost, Leia suddenly appeared on Xuefei’s other side. Xuefei wasn’t all that surprised; she just presented her petite back to Leia, making it clear she had zero interest in her.

“Even as evil dragons, our hearts are fiercely loyal. Before finding a mate, we’re untamed wild beasts. But in front of our lover—especially the one who got us pregnant—we’re one hundred percent devoted.”

“Do you believe it, Xuefei?”

Leia certainly did.

She could never love anyone but Xuefei.

Her way of showing it might be a bit unusual, but Leia was convinced no one understood “love” better than she did.

Xuefei had to admit it was true.

Aside from being insanely obsessed with her, Leia treated her like some precious evil dragon treasure, fiddling with her from morning till night.

In the end, though, Leia seemed to tire of all that constant petting—after all, she’d already turned Xuefei into a proper girl. So Miss Leia had pored over countless ancient texts and records, discovered the method for getting an evil dragon pregnant, and promptly knocked herself up with a dragon egg…

Damn her, that was too much!

If she ever got the chance, Xuefei would tell her straight to her face, “You really get love.”

Xuefei wore an expression that screamed “come on, coax me,” and Leia wasn’t about to fall for the trap and let her goodwill plummet.

“How about someday we head to another country and have some fun? I’ll show you the sights of the world.”

Leia kept stroking Xuefei’s head, growing more addicted by the second. Her original motive of “comforting Xuefei” was shifting into “pet Xuefei.”

Strictly speaking, Leia and Xuefei had already embarked on a world tour of sorts. But up to now, they hadn’t truly experienced the world as evil dragons.

The Hero Party might have boasted elites like the Great Sage, the Hero, and the Knight Order as their heavy hitters, but this was an S-rank difficulty world. They couldn’t avoid getting pummeled by all sorts of bizarre monsters—including mythical beasts straight out of comics.

Goblin Giants, nine-tailed fox demons, ancient millennium vampires, bronze Demon giant armors that could uproot entire cities, and stone giants larger than Mount Tai.

Xuefei had gotten a clear look at one from the Holy Sword’s side. Her own body had looked like an ant next to that thing’s elephantine bulk.

Evil dragons were one of those threats, of course.

But now that she’d recovered her past memories, Xuefei couldn’t help feeling a pang of emotion. The evil dragon they’d taken down before had turned out to be her own wife… who had even gotten her pregnant with a dragon egg. If she hadn’t pretended to reject those memories, she might have ended up with a second egg, a third, even a fourth…

“No need.”

After mulling it over, Xuefei finally let her anger fade. She sighed, putting an end to the topic.

“I’m happy you’d play with me, Leia. But what if we run into danger out there? Like, what if we bump into the Hero or something?”

“Weren’t you the Hero before?” Leia asked with keen interest. She really seemed to love Xuefei as she was now. Just thinking about how her wife had gone from that ungrateful stinking man to this sweet, fragrant girl filled her with involuntary joy and delight.

“I already said it doesn’t matter.” A flicker of barely perceptible seriousness crossed Xuefei’s face before vanishing without a trace.

If that method could work, maybe it really would succeed.

No, no, no…

She had to play it careful. She’d already failed too many times in front of Leia. If she ever found out Xuefei had accepted those memories, it would be disastrous.

“Anyway…”

Xuefei’s gaze shifted to the Holy Sword floating in midair.

The conversation had veered off onto an increasingly bizarre tangent, drifting far from its original course. Hadn’t she come here specifically to hand over the Holy Sword?

Sorry about this, Holy Sword.

Xuefei pressed her hands together in silent prayer within her mind.

She had been under Leia’s watchful gaze the entire time. If she had cooperated with the Sword Saint from the outset or tried to hide it away, Leia would surely suspect that she had recovered her memories.

“Holy Sword, why don’t you tell me how you plan to have me help the Gods take down the Evil Dragon?”

“……”

The Holy Sword had no emotions, nor any conventional intelligence to speak of.

But it was no fool.

Speaking up right in front of two Evil Dragons? Unless it truly wanted to be melted into molten iron by the Evil Dragon’s Blazing Flame and recast from scratch, it could certainly devise a flawless escape plan for Xuefei.

That said, no such plan was feasible now—not in front of the Xuefei she had become.

It knew the Evil Corrupted Xuefei would never betray Leia, but the Holy Sword had never imagined she’d deliver it straight to the Evil Dragon’s lair!

It would be downright bizarre if it could even speak!

Thankfully, the Holy Sword felt no shame. By now, the old Hero Party had met their fates—some hanged, some reborn, some transformed… It alone remained unchanged, utterly toyed with by the Evil Corrupted Xuefei.

Ah, sword life was exhausting.

Lacking emotions, it was utterly blind to Xuefei’s hints and true motives, left to be manipulated by Leia without resistance.

“Xuefei~” Leia seemed to grasp something suddenly, pulling Xuefei’s body into a tight embrace. “Do you think this Holy Sword needs to be destroyed?”

“Mmph… Well, I don’t think it’s committed crimes that severe.”

Xuefei put on an agreeable front—”Yeah, yeah”—but inside, panic was starting to bubble up.

Leia chuckled at Xuefei’s furrowed brow and troubled expression. Then inspiration struck. She stroked Xuefei’s head and turned to the pitiful Holy Sword.

“I have a great idea, Xuefei. Do you know about souls?”

Souls, by definition, were existences unbound by the flesh. As long as a soul endured, reincarnation was theoretically possible.

Take Xuefei herself: before and after her Evil Corruption, her memories and personality had shifted, but she was still Xuefei at her core. The Hero Party provided another example—they encountered the Gods as souls, usually after a one-way trip courtesy of some truck driver…

“And the Holy Sword? It has a soul too, you know.”

“Eh?”

Xuefei hesitated to believe it.

But Leia had devoured the power of the Gods, granting her certainty: the Holy Sword, as a rudimentary intelligent entity, harbored a genuine soul, feeble though it might be.

“Do you know Laer?”

“Of course~”

The soul of the weakened Evil Dragon Guards had fused with that of the Great Sage, birthing the Head Maid known as Laer.

It went beyond mere fusion—it was a profound submission of the mind. Still, it counted as a soul-merging case.

A chill of unease crept over Xuefei. Why was Leia bringing this up now?

Leia’s eyes gleamed with hunger. She licked her lips, her scarlet pupils radiating raw aggression…

Even the golden patterns on the Holy Sword churned like restless rivers.

“No way—Leia, you…!”

What is the price for abandoning the heroine?

One day, an unfortunate university student, Mo Ran, was transmigrated into the game world "Camiran Continent" and became the male protagonist, the Hero.

"As long as you can defeat the final boss, the Evil Dragon, you can return to the real world," said the god.

Mo Ran was a gaming genius. He quickly adapted to the environment and, leading the Hero's Party, successfully vanquished the Demon King.

But the past was too bitter to recall. Mo Ran defeated the Demon King, but of the entire Hero's Party, including the heroine Leia, only Mo Ran survived to the very end.

"So, are you certain? With no regrets, do you decide to return to your own world?"

The one calling himself a god asked emotionlessly.

"I'm certain."

Mo Ran didn't hesitate for a moment. He had long been yearning for air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and watermelon, and just wanted to leave this godforsaken place.

As a white light enveloped Mo Ran's entire body, the transmigration was a success~

But...

Why did I wake up back in the original world, "Camiran Continent"?!

And what's more, I've turned into a white-haired, red-eyed girl?

Are you kidding me?!

What's even more unbelievable is that the heroine Leia, who died on the battlefield, has now become the very Dragon King I once vanquished!!

"My dear Mo Ran, are you ready to receive my love?"

Dragon King Leia licked her lips.

The price for abandoning the heroine, of course, is turning into a little dragon princess in the second playthrough~
