Leia still remembered how that self-proclaimed god had tempted her.
“Indeed, I still don’t want to die…”
No life-flashing-before-her-eyes montage appeared. Leia hugged her knees, sitting alone in the darkness. In her hazy eyes, a ray of light suddenly emerged.
Then, that light spoke.
“Do you want revenge? Then make a wish to me.”
Was she still alive?
Leia reached out with both hands. Her body was completely intact. The only remnants of that war were the tear stains at the corners of her eyes and the lingering pain and chill from her final moments.
No. She had already died…
Had her soul simply been separated from it all?
“I am a god,” the voice declared. “I sensed your resentment. Do you want revenge against this world? Your obsession rivals that of a Demon. I can make your wish come true.”
“Will I become a mindless monster?”
“…”
The god fell silent in that space, filled with light yet shrouded in utter darkness. He seemed to ponder deeply. Minutes passed before he finally addressed Leia, curled up on the ground with her legs pulled tight to her chest.
“There, you can unleash your resentment without restraint. Destroy everything you hate, everything you deem unjust. Now I ask you: do you wish for revenge, or will you fade away as a pitiful lost soul?”
Fade away?
But she didn’t want to die.
And yet…
Compared to death, something far worse was happening. She was starting to forget something vitally important.
If those wicked beings, sustained in the world by their own grudges, were gradually brainwashed and corrupted step by step like this, then their irrational actions suddenly made perfect sense.
“I… I don’t want revenge,” Leia whispered. The words caught in her throat, leaving her with a faint sense of suffocation.
The light flickered abruptly, as if to intimidate her. Leia instinctively buried her face in her knees.
“You crave revenge,” it pressed. “So why fight your true heart?”
“I…”
Before Leia could respond, the scene around her shifted in the blink of an eye.
Crumbling city walls, enormous boulders swathed in black mist and hovering in midair, shattered remnants frozen in the instant of their destruction—they all screamed of ruin without end.
This was the mountain range of devastation, the very terminus of the world and time itself.
High above, a pitch-black sun radiated an ominous aura, devouring the ruins like a ravenous black hole. And she herself was merely another fragment of those ruins.
No…
That wasn’t a sun.
It was the Evil Dragon.
Sovereign of all Demons, the Evil Dragon.
Its crimson eyes fixed on her and the surrounding destruction, appraising her like pathetic prey. The moment she was consumed, she would become the fuel for its resurrection…
And she would transform utterly into a mindless member of the Demon Race. Right?
“Don’t turn me into something evil!” Leia cried, as the dissolution of all things filled her with utter despair.
…
It felt like coincidence—or perhaps destiny. A doubting voice echoed in Leia’s mind.
After loving him her entire life, was this the ending she deserved?
After devoting herself silently for so long, was she truly to be discarded so heartlessly?
The white glow enveloping Leia’s body dimmed. It didn’t vanish entirely, though. Instead, it was engulfed, transmuting into a profound darkness even deeper than the “black sun” looming overhead.
No more tears came. Instead, she began to laugh with delight.
“Hahahaha…”
Both the god and the Evil Dragon—they were far too naive.
Erase her mind? Corrupt her soul? Turn her into some irrational fiend?
Did that pathetic god truly believe the Evil Dragon could overcome her?
…
Far beyond the god’s expectations, Leia’s resentment proved stronger than the Evil Dragon’s. Here, in this space at the world’s end, she successfully drew the Evil Dragon into her own body.
“Hehehehe…”
Before long, nothing remained in the entire space but Leia’s malevolent laughter.
Dragon wings vast enough to blot out the heavens sprouted from her back. Her long hair flowed like the Milky Way. Crimson draconic eyes gleamed upon her pale face. No one could have foreseen this transformation in Leia—the woman others had teasingly dubbed the perfect future “good wife and loving mother.”
Leia floated in the void, the blackened ruins coalescing into a throne beneath her.
By the time the god realized what was happening and tried to flee, it was far too late.
Leia merely extended her hand. Space itself shattered. The Divine Soldiers had nowhere to run; they were seized by the throat.
“Was it you?” she demanded. “You, who sought to exploit my resentment… and my love for her?”
“Cough—cough—cough! Impossible! How could you devour the Evil Dragon?!”
“Hehehe.” Leia’s laughter rang out, joyful and unrestrained.
It wasn’t merely because she had returned to life. No, it was because now she knew…
The Hero had succeeded.
As foretold in the prophecy, the Hero had slain the Evil Dragon. And now, he was making a wish to the gods of the Camiran Continent—the wretched creature clutched in her hand.
Yes…
Having fulfilled his duty, he chose to return to his original world rather than linger on a Camiran Continent transformed beyond recognition, where all things and people had changed.
At this moment, the so-called god was nothing but an empty husk. His divine power flowed along Leia’s arm, twisting into malevolent energy that she absorbed completely.
Even if it meant embracing evil, she didn’t care…
She let out a wicked laugh.
“Think you can slip from my grasp? Impossible~”
The instant Mo Ran made his wish, the god’s shadow dissipated in a flash. In its place stood the sole survivor of the Hero Party—the Evil Dragon known as Leia.
The Evil Dragon had been reborn.
Mo Ran had no idea that the peril awaiting her went far beyond simple defeat at the Evil Dragon’s hands.
Under the gods—or more precisely, Leia, who had seized their power—the Camiran Continent shattered and then reformed. In the end, the entire continent rebooted, rewinding to a moment in time that Leia desired.
The only differences were that the being named Leia had never been born human, and Mo Ran had been transformed into a girl.
The Evil Dragon Palace, once a lair teeming with demons and fiends, had become Leia’s cozy love nest, a place to nurture romance.
To gain love, to secure true and lasting happiness, one had to seize the initiative rather than wait passively. Love kept forever locked in the heart could never find fulfillment.
Leia resolved to hold love tightly in her own hands.
In a room awash in pink, the young Hero lady lay quietly on the double bed, oblivious to the wickedness about to befall her.
Trailing her fingers along that cascade of silver-white hair, Leia had used the Evil Dragon’s Curse—along with a portion of the Dragon’s own power—to reshape the Hero into the adorable form of her dreams.
Leia’s wicked grin held nothing back, as if from another lifetime entirely.
She stroked Xuefei’s cute head, though that name had yet to be bestowed upon the Hero who had once saved the world.
“Do you remember our first meeting?”
To evade kidnapping and escape those loathsome nobles, Leia had donned a silver wig and a little skirt from who-knows-where, disguising herself as a boy to infiltrate the gang.
Even after her rescue, Leia had mistaken her for a girl.
“Xuefei really is even prettier as a girl~”
Most importantly, now she could bear a whole brood of little babies for her!
Leia sat quietly in her chair, waiting patiently.
When she wakes, she’ll surely understand my feelings, won’t she?
