On the podium, the atmosphere was electric.
The awards for third place and runner-up were presented one after another. Jiang Chengfeng and Song Zhe each took the stage to receive their trophies.
Jiang Chengfeng remained as lively as ever, pulling a funny face for the cameras and the audience.
Song Zhe, on the other hand, kept a calm expression. When his eyes met Feng Miwan’s, he gave a slight nod—a sign of respect between rivals.
Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived: the presentation of the Annual Total Champion Trophy!
“Next, let’s give the warmest applause to this year’s China Supercar Championship overall champion—representing the Maple Grove Racing Team, Feng! Mi! Wan!”
The host’s voice boomed through the speakers across the entire racetrack, instantly igniting everyone’s passion.
Amid deafening cheers and confetti raining down from above, Feng Miwan ascended the highest step of the champion’s podium.
She took the hefty, gleaming Annual Overall Championship Trophy from the presenter and held it high overhead!
Next came the acceptance speech.
Feng Miwan handed the trophy temporarily to a staff member and stepped up to the standing microphone.
She took a deep breath, gazing down at the countless fans who supported her, her team members, and most importantly, her brother and her love.
“Thank you, thank you everyone!”
“Winning this Annual Total Champion Trophy… I… I’m just so happy!”
She began, as usual, by thanking the event organizers, sponsors, and every hardworking member of the Maple Grove Racing Team.
“Without the entire team’s efforts, there would be no champion today.”
Then, her gaze swept over the crowd and locked onto the figure wearing gold-rimmed glasses. They shared a deep look, and the corners of her mouth curved up involuntarily.
Xiong Yibai smiled back and nodded at her.
Feng Miwan gave a slight nod in return before turning her eyes to Feng Yuxiao, her tone earnest:
“But today, the person I want to thank most is my brother, who is also the manager and engineer for our Maple Grove Racing Team—Feng Yuxiao.”
The camera immediately cut to Feng Yuxiao in the audience. He seemed caught off guard by his sister’s direct shout-out and adjusted his glasses in surprise.
Feng Miwan continued, “A lot of people might not know this, but my brother was once a racer with incredible talent—far more than me.”
“He got into racing even earlier than I did, and his skills were better than mine. But later, due to some health issues, he could no longer compete personally.”
A murmur of regret rippled through the crowd below.
“He didn’t abandon his dreams. Instead, he poured all his hopes and efforts into me.”
Feng Miwan’s voice grew choked, but she fought to steady it.
“He taught me how to drive race cars and tweak the data step by step. He studied our opponents day and night, devised strategies. Every time I pushed hard on the track, he bore even more pressure in the pits.”
She looked at Feng Yuxiao, her eyes full of dependence and pride:
“Bro, over these years, whether it was car troubles, gossip from outsiders, or… some bad stuff, you always charged ahead and shouldered it all for me.”
“Everyone calls me a racing genius, but I know that without you, Feng Yuxiao, holding things down behind the scenes, there’d be no Feng Miwan standing here today!”
Her heartfelt words moved many in the audience.
Down below, Feng Yuxiao finally couldn’t hold back. He turned his head and discreetly wiped the corner of his eye with the back of his hand.
Feng Miwan wiped her face and flashed a brilliant smile, shouting toward Feng Yuxiao:
“Bro! Half of this championship is yours! Thank you! You’re the best brother I’ve ever had—the absolute best engineer too!”
The audience erupted in thunderous applause, cheers for both the champion and the deeply bonded siblings.
In the VIP Box, the massive screen broadcast the podium scene live.
Feng Shouzhuo and Shen Qingyun stared intently at the screen, listening to their daughter’s choked, sincere speech.
When Feng Miwan shouted, “You’re the best brother I’ve ever had,” tears welled up in Shen Qingyun’s eyes.
She didn’t sob loudly but shed quiet tears of relief mixed with heartache.
Dabbing at her eyes with a handkerchief, she leaned toward her husband:
“Old Feng… did you hear that… Our Miwan has really grown up… She’s so sensible now…”
Feng Shouzhuo wasn’t as openly emotional as his wife, but his eyes grew misty too. He gripped her hand tightly and nodded firmly:
“Yeah… Both kids… they’re great, just great… Yuxiao’s had it tough… And Miwan knows gratitude now…”
As parents, they knew better than anyone how much pain their son had endured when forced to give up his dreams, and how much blood, sweat, and tears he’d invested in training his sister.
Hearing their daughter, at the pinnacle of her career, so generously credit her brother with the biggest share of the glory and her deepest thanks—this moved them more than any championship title ever could.
Xiong Daichuan and Shen Yong watched from nearby, touched by the siblings’ warmth.
Xiong Daichuan sighed softly:
“Manager Feng truly deserves immense credit. Little Wan’s a kid with real loyalty.”
Zhao Shutong leaned directly on Ren Queyue’s shoulder and whispered:
“…Miwan said it perfectly!”
Ren Queyue patted her shoulder in understanding.
Finally, Feng Miwan’s gaze returned to Xiong Yibai, soft and tender. Though she said nothing more, that silent gaze spoke volumes.
Amid swirling golden confetti and roaring cheers, Feng Miwan raised her Annual Total Champion Trophy high once more, basking in the most glorious moment of her career so far.
After the ceremony ended, Feng Yuxiao quickly sorted out the team’s follow-up matters, promised generous bonuses, and then joined Xiong Yibai and Feng Miwan—who cradled her trophy—as they returned to the VIP Box.
As soon as they entered, Feng Shouzhuo and Shen Qingyun came forward.
Shen Qingyun’s eyes were still a bit red as she grabbed Feng Yuxiao’s hand:
“Son, what your sister said on stage today was spot on. Mom and Dad are so proud of you!”
Feng Shouzhuo nodded vigorously and clapped his son on the shoulder: “Well done!”
But the tender moment didn’t last.
Shen Qingyun abruptly changed tack, pulling Feng Yuxiao toward a corner of the box: “Son, come here. Mom has something to ask you.”
Feng Shouzhuo followed right away, the couple instantly forming a “pincer” formation.
Shen Qingyun lowered her voice:
“Yuxiao, that mysterious thing you told us before—about our little Miwan dating someone, and the future son-in-law coming today—where is he? We’ve been watching all this time, and no young guy showed up!”
Feng Shouzhuo’s face darkened:
“Wife, why are you even asking him? This kid obviously made it up last time just to trick us into coming to the race! I think he needs a good talking-to!”
