Bai Sha raised her head and looked deeply at the Wind-Thunder Observatory cultivators entering the cage.
Every single Wind-Thunder Observatory cultivator had eyes filled with extreme cruelty, looking at her as if she were a lamb waiting to be slaughtered.
Seeing this, Bai Sha sighed inwardly.
“Simulate!”
She no longer hesitated. She recited the word silently in her heart. Immediately, the surrounding environment froze into absolute stillness. Following that, scene after scene flew into her mind, and everything around her plunged into darkness.
[This experience has successfully been archived as a Simulated Experience.]
[You may choose one reward from this experience.]
[1: Retain your cultivation level from this experience.]
[2: Retain one item you possessed from this experience.]
Seeing the options appear before her eyes, Bai Sha made her choice without the slightest hesitation.
“I choose to retain my cultivation level.”
The moment Bai Sha confirmed her decision, she immediately withdrew from the darkness.
Inside the cold, dark underwater cave, Bai Sha was immersed in the seawater once more.
Name: Bai Sha
Cultivation: Early Qi Condensation
Simulation Count: 2
Simulation Saves: 1
Cultivation Art: Raging Waves Art
Looking at the Status Panel before her eyes, Bai Sha took a deep breath.
Only two simulations remained. These two simulations absolutely could not be squandered carelessly. They had to be used at critical junctures. Otherwise, once her Simulation Count was exhausted, she would truly die.
Reining in her thoughts, Bai Sha slapped the seawater with her crescent-shaped tail fin. Her massive body immediately swam out of the cave.
Regarding how to act in this life, Bai Sha had already thought it through clearly while locked inside the cage. Therefore, after leaving the cave, she swam swiftly in a straight line towards a specific direction.
…
The White Shark Territory.
This was a Demon Cultivator territory on the seabed, teeming with abundant coral and aquatic plants, and dotted with jagged, bizarre rocks.
Numerous Great White Sharks patrolled back and forth around the perimeter of the White Shark Territory, their presence so intimidating that even ordinary fish and shrimp dared not approach.
This was the territory of the White King.
Arriving at this familiar place, a flicker of complex emotion surfaced in Bai Sha’s eyes.
During her first and second lives, she had spent most of her time within the White Shark Territory, working for the White King. But things were different now. Having become a Demon Cultivator, she could alter the course of many fates.
With that thought, Bai Sha glanced at a branch she had brought with her. Several bright red fruits grew upon it. This was a type of undersea fruit called Sweet Fruit, exceptionally delicious.
More importantly, it was the White King’s favorite fruit!
With the experience of her first and second lives, Bai Sha naturally understood the White King exceptionally well. She knew the other’s personality, and even her hobbies, inside and out. That was why she felt confident enough to come seeking the White King.
Her reason for doing this was that she hoped the White King could recommend her to join the Demon Alliance.
In her third life—her previous life—through her conversations with the Profound Water Turtle, Bai Sha had gained considerable understanding of the Demon Alliance’s situation. She deeply understood that to survive in this perilous, crisis-ridden ocean, merely becoming a Demon Cultivator was still insufficient. She needed to join the Demon Alliance as well.
However, the Demon Alliance wasn’t something one could just join on a whim. A recommendation from a Demon Cultivator who was already a member of the Alliance was required.
Thus, after a moment’s consideration, Bai Sha chose the White King.
With her understanding of the White King, securing her help to join the Demon Alliance shouldn’t be a problem.
“Swoosh…”
Accompanied by the sound of flowing water, Bai Sha arrived at the edge of the White Shark Territory.
Her arrival naturally drew the attention of the patrolling Great White Sharks. A group of them immediately swam towards her.
“Who are you? What business do you have in the White Shark Territory?”
A leading Great White Shark looked at Bai Sha, scrutinizing her as he questioned.
Seeing these Great White Sharks before her, Bai Sha felt another surge of emotion deep within her heart.
In her first and second lives, these Great White Sharks had been her colleagues. They had fought alongside each other on many missions. But now, they met as complete strangers.
“I am the Demon Cultivator Bai Sha. I am here to see the White King,” Bai Sha answered.
Upon hearing that Bai Sha was a Demon Cultivator, the Great White Sharks immediately became solemn and respectful.
In this vast ocean, the moment a creature became a Demon Cultivator, they were instantly placed in a completely different world from mere Spirit Beasts that had only just awakened their intelligence. The difference was like that between clouds and mud.
A hint of reverence also appeared in the eyes of the many Great White Sharks as they looked at Bai Sha.
“We will go and report this,” the leading Great White Shark said, then shot a glance at another Great White Shark beside him.
That Great White Shark immediately turned to go and make the report, while the rest of the Great White Sharks remained there to wait.
They didn’t have to wait long. The Great White Shark who had gone to report soon returned. “The White King invites you inside, Your Excellency.”
“Lead the way.”
Bai Sha immediately followed the Great White Sharks into the White Shark Territory.
Revisiting a familiar place, Bai Sha felt a dazed sensation, as if she had returned to her first or second life.
She shook her head, composing her emotions.
Before long, an underwater cave appeared before Bai Sha’s eyes. There was some light emanating from within the cave. Bai Sha knew that was from some Luminous Sea Pearls the White King had collected. These weren’t rare items in the sea; Demon Cultivators often collected some for illumination.
Once outside the underwater cave, the Great White Shark leading the way stopped. “I cannot enter here. You may go straight in, Your Excellency.”
“Understood.”
Bai Sha entered the underwater cave directly.
The interior of the cave wasn’t winding. Luminous Sea Pearls were embedded in the stone walls along the path, their light merging with the seawater, creating a breathtakingly beautiful sight.
Bai Sha quickly reached the end of the cave. There, she saw a Great White Shark, currently in the midst of eating.
Beside her, many different types of vegetation were bundled together and placed nearby. These plants had been steeped in the Spiritual Qi of heaven and earth and were now Spiritual Materials. Their flavor was undoubtedly extremely delicious. Even though the Great White Shark Clan generally preferred meat, they would still greatly enjoy Spiritual Materials like these.
Sensing Bai Sha’s entry, the White King looked up, studying Bai Sha carefully.
After a few glances, the White King spoke, her voice that of a young girl: “You are called Bai Sha? What a coincidence. My name is Yin Sha. Our names are quite similar.”
‘White King’ was simply a title. Her actual name was Yin Sha.
This was something Bai Sha already knew. She smiled and said, “Ever since I awakened my intelligence, I’ve heard of Senior Yin Sha’s illustrious name countless times. In this Eastern Sea, Senior Yin Sha is truly a paragon of our Great White Shark Clan, worthy of the entire clan’s adoration.”
No one dislikes being praised, and Yin Sha was no exception. Just a single sentence from Bai Sha was enough to cheer her up.
“Senior is too formal a title. I merely embarked on the path of cultivation a bit earlier,” Yin Sha said modestly, then asked, “So, Bai Sha, what business brings you to me? Could it be that you wish to join my direct service?”
Joining Yin Sha’s direct service meant having to do many things for her. This was not what Bai Sha wanted.
Bai Sha shook her head. “Actually, I was hoping Senior Yin Sha could recommend me to join the Demon Alliance.”
“Join the Demon Alliance?”
Yin Sha fell silent for a moment upon hearing this.
Demon Cultivators within the Demon Alliance could indeed recommend other Demon Cultivators to join the Alliance, but the number of available slots each year was extremely limited. She wasn’t sure if she should use one of these slots on Bai Sha.
While Yin Sha was still hesitating, Bai Sha presented the Sweet Fruit she had brought. “Senior Yin Sha, these are a very rare type of Sweet Fruit. They’re incredibly delicious. Would you like to try one?”
“Sweet Fruit? Never heard of it,” Yin Sha said, looking at the fruit curiously.
“It’s very tasty. Would Senior like to try one?”
Bai Sha knew that Yin Sha indeed hadn’t eaten a Sweet Fruit yet at this point. But once Yin Sha did eat one, Sweet Fruit would become her absolute favorite food.
