Those fellows were all slave guards, mere ordinary people.
Eileen was currently dealing with Eden and had no time to handle those men. But they absolutely couldn’t be ignored, or else they might spread word of what was happening here.
Amelia knew it was time for her to act.
Although she came from a peaceful world and had never killed anyone, after crossing over and experiencing so much, after seeing plenty of bloody scenes, she knew it was time for her to take that step.
“They’re all people who deserve to die.”
Amelia murmured, quickly heading in that direction.
After becoming a Trainee Apostle, Amelia had already mastered her first ability. This ability was called Wind’s Sigh. It allowed her to condense the power of wind into arrows and shoot them from her bow, possessing decent penetrative power.
It was with Wind’s Sigh that she had earlier foiled Eden’s attempt to call for help.
Of course, she couldn’t shatter a Mid-Rank Apostle’s fireball, but the fireball had the property of exploding upon contact with anything, which was why she had been able to stop it successfully.
As she approached the dome-shaped building, Amelia tightened her grip on Silver Moon.
Drawing closer, she could also hear many clamoring voices coming from inside the building, filled with cries like “Let me go,” “You’re all liars,” and “You people are demons.”
Those inside were pitiful people forced to wander due to war. They had thought they’d met kind-hearted souls who could help them live a little better, never imagining it was an infuriating scam. They were being treated purely as slaves.
If no one intervened, one could imagine their future lives. They would be whipped, punished, and subjected to all kinds of suffering until they finally became docile, becoming true slaves.
Amelia was now very close to the dome-shaped building.
At the building’s entrance, several men stood outside, gazing into the distance toward where Eileen and Eden were fighting.
Wind’s Sigh!
Amelia raised Silver Moon and aimed it there, drawing back the slender bowstring. The power of wind condensed upon it, forming a cyan arrow.
“Whoosh!”
As Amelia released her grip, the arrow shot forth, landing with extreme precision on one man’s thigh.
“Aaaahhh…”
The man let out a scream.
Seeing this, Amelia raised an eyebrow. She had been aiming for another man’s head. Why had it deviated to land on the thigh of a third man three people away?
After accurately hitting Eden’s fireball signal earlier, Amelia had thought she might have a talent for archery. But now it seemed that was likely just luck.
The several men at the dome-shaped building’s entrance also noticed Amelia at this moment.
“It’s an Apostle, let’s get out of here.”
The several men turned without hesitation and fled back into the dome-shaped building.
“They’re not running away outside, but going back into this building instead?”
As Amelia pursued them, she used Wind’s Sigh once more, shooting arrow after arrow continuously. Though her accuracy was regrettable, her rate of fire was very fast, and she still managed to shoot down two of them.
Before long, Amelia entered the dome-shaped building.
The interior was very spacious, and the ceiling was quite high, but it was utterly dark. Not a single lamp had been lit, and there were no windows to let the moonlight stream in, making it completely impossible to see the surroundings clearly.
Amelia channeled her Divine Power to her eyes before she could make things out a little.
