Chapter 5: Jealousy. “Have you been with other Omegas…”
When Cheng Yang opened her eyes, she was once again met with Xu Xun’s tear-reddened eyes.
She gave a light cough, which sent a sharp pain through the back of her head.
Cheng Yang reached out a hand, gently wiping the tear stains from under Xu Xun’s eyes, and managed a weak smile. “I’m fine.”
Xu Xun tightly gripped Cheng Yang’s right hand, the one without the IV, and kissed the smooth, fair skin of her knuckles and the back of her hand, murmuring, “It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have done that. I’m the one who hurt you.”
The two of them exchanged tender, sweet words, completely ignoring the third wheel standing not far away.
Jian Fan stood by the door with her arms crossed, watching everything. She said nothing, racking her brain but unable to think of any way to stop all this.
After watching Cheng Yang slowly fall asleep, Jian Fan said expressionlessly, “Xu Xun, come out with me.”

Cheng Yang slept fitfully, vaguely hearing the continuous sound of arguing from outside.
She struggled to open her heavy eyes, pushed back the covers, and sat up. She sat on the bed in a daze for a long time before getting down.
The moment one foot touched the floor, Cheng Yang’s legs gave way, and her body tumbled down unexpectedly.
The faint noise alerted the person outside. Xu Xun pushed open the door and ran in. “Yangyang! Why did you get out of bed without a word!”
Cheng Yang was helped up and leaned against the bed. She looked at the displaced IV needle in her right hand, lowered her head, and said in a small voice, “I woke up and didn’t see you.”
All of Xu Xun’s words caught in her throat. She hugged Cheng Yang tightly, her eyes glistening with tears. “I understand. I won’t leave your side for even a step from now on.”
The corners of Cheng Yang’s lips curved up. Her peripheral vision caught Jian Fan not far away, and she found the expression on the other’s face somewhat inscrutable, her eyes complex and hard to read.
When Jian Fan met Cheng Yang’s blank gaze, she nonchalantly shifted her eyes away and came over to check the IV needle in her hand.
When Cheng Yang had fallen from the bed, she had pushed herself up with too much force, causing her right hand to bleed a little.
Xu Xun noticed Cheng Yang’s right hand and tentatively touched it with her fingertips, asking, “Jian Fan, is Yangyang’s hand okay?”
Jian Fan said expressionlessly, “It’s fine. This bottle of nutrient solution is almost finished. You need to watch her more closely from now on. It was lucky she didn’t land on her head this time.”
Cheng Yang stared at Xu Xun, who was even more nervous than she was. When Jian Fan wasn’t looking, she tilted her head and rubbed the tip of her nose against the Omega’s chin, saying obediently, “A-Xun, don’t worry, I’ll be careful.”
After the IV drip was finished, Jian Fan bent down to remove the needle for Cheng Yang.
The Alpha’s hands were long and fair, the veins on the back slightly raised. The transparent needle piercing through the thin layer of skin created a kind of pitiable beauty.
Xu Xun stared nervously at Cheng Yang’s hand. As if she had eyes in the back of her head, Jian Fan said without turning around, “It’s just removing a needle, no need to be so nervous. Come over and press down for three minutes.”
“Okay.” Xu Xun did as she was told. As Jian Fan was packing up the IV set, she said softly, “Don’t leave just yet. I have something to ask you.”
Jian Fan said flatly, “Didn’t we already talk about it?”
Xu Xun turned her head, looked at Cheng Yang’s somewhat dazed eyes, and said, “There’s something else. It’s about Yangyang.”
Cheng Yang saw Xu Xun’s hand still pressing the white cotton ball on the back of her own hand. She curved her dry lips and said, “A-Xun, if you have something to talk about, just go outside. I can press it myself.”
Watching Xu Xun and Jian Fan leave, Cheng Yang’s gaze remained fixed on the Omega’s slender back, a gentle curve forming on her lips.
In the villa’s garden, Jian Fan stood behind Xu Xun, staring at the Omega’s stubborn back and asking, “What did you want to see me for?”
Xu Xun asked softly, “How is Yangyang’s condition?”
Jian Fan said, “She’s fine, but she can’t be agitated and can’t do any strenuous exercise.”
Recalling what had happened today, Jian Fan’s expression suddenly turned strange. She said, “You two… had better not be intimate. Under extreme excitement, her cerebral cortex will be stimulated, which might lead to the very thing you don’t want to happen.”
Xu Xun turned back and asked, “What thing?”
Jian Fan raised an eyebrow. “Regaining her memory.”
Xu Xun was usually someone who didn’t show her emotions, but now, one could tell from the subtle movements of her face that she was nervous.
Jian Fan said earnestly, “I advise you to face reality. Stolen things never last. The truth will come out sooner or later.”
Xu Xun held her head high and nodded. “I’ll bear the consequences myself. Thank you.”

Cheng Yang lay in bed all afternoon. It was almost dark when Xu Xun pushed open the door and came in.
The room was filled with the faint scent of peach, and closer to the bed, one could also smell the light scent of disinfectant.
Xu Xun opened the window to air out the room. She sat on the edge of the bed, holding Cheng Yang’s left hand.
Cheng Yang asked, “A-Xun, what did you two talk about?”
Xu Xun smiled and said, “Nothing much. I asked about your condition. Jian Fan said you’re doing well and will recover soon.”
Cheng Yang touched her head. “Then when will my amnesia be cured? I still know nothing about you. I want to know you better, otherwise, I feel unsettled.”
Xu Xun paused for a moment, then said, “You can’t force this. Jian Fan said we have to let nature take its course. If you think too much, your memories might get jumbled. It’s better to take it slow.”
Seeing the dejected look on Cheng Yang’s face, Xu Xun curved her lips and gently pulled the Alpha into her arms, smiling as she said, “Don’t worry, Yangyang. I’m here with you. If you really can’t remember, then I’ll tell you the stories. How does that sound?”
Cheng Yang’s lips curled up, and she leaned lazily in Xu Xun’s embrace. “That’s exactly what I want. I won’t think about it then. I’ll only listen to what you tell me. Just don’t get tired of me.”
Xu Xun lowered her eyes and kissed Cheng Yang’s forehead. A flicker of something obscure crossed her eyes as she nodded and said, “Okay, what do you want to hear?”
“I want… I want to hear…”
Cheng Yang thought for a moment, a sly smile appearing on her lips. “I want to hear about our puppy love in high school. Did anyone know we were secretly dating? Did we ever get caught by the dean of discipline when we were on a secret date?”
The corners of Xu Xun’s lips curved. “No, we were very, very careful.”
Cheng Yang bit her lower lip, tilted her head, and kissed the corner of Xu Xun’s mouth, asking, “Did I ever kiss you like this back then?”
A faint pink blush spread from Xu Xun’s earlobes to her entire face in an instant. She frowned slightly and shook her head. “N-no…”
“No? I don’t believe you.”
Cheng Yang stared straight into Xu Xun’s beautiful almond eyes. Seeing her blink unconsciously, she said with a smile, “You’re lying. We must have secretly kissed.”
Xu Xun’s gaze slowly lowered. “Really, we didn’t. I’m not lying to you.”
Cheng Yang sighed with regret. “Ah, dating without kissing? Then what on earth did we do?”
Xu Xun bit her lower lip and mumbled indistinctly, “Why are you only thinking about kissing… Just holding hands was enough for me…”
Cheng Yang didn’t hear Xu Xun’s words clearly, only the word “kissing.” She asked with a smile, “What?”
“N-nothing…”
Seeing Xu Xun’s stammering, Cheng Yang wanted to kiss her until she told the truth. But remembering what had happened in bed that day, she felt a lingering fear and decided to let it go.
Cheng Yang sighed again. “I used to be such a reserved person? I was even shy about kissing?”
Seeing Xu Xun nod, Cheng Yang’s gaze remained fixed on Xu Xun’s lips. The Omega’s lips were a pale pink, full and beautifully shaped, looking very kissable.
As if possessed, Cheng Yang leaned in. Xu Xun’s lips slowly pressed together.
They exchanged a look of mutual understanding. Xu Xun’s eyes curved, and she hooked her arms around Cheng Yang’s neck, saying with a smile, “Yangyang, let’s kiss slower this time, or else your head… mmph—”
Xu Xun obediently parted her lips, and in the confusion, bit Cheng Yang’s lower lip, one hand gripping the Alpha and pressing her firmly against herself.
Cheng Yang hadn’t expected Xu Xun to be so forward. It was indeed beyond her expectations, but she didn’t overthink it and kissed her passionately.
Their lips ground against each other ambiguously, creating an invisible electric current that shot through their entire bodies, stoking the fire within Cheng Yang.
Just as things were about to escalate, Xu Xun hurriedly pushed Cheng Yang away. Her eyes were like a pool of spring water, and glistening tears welled at the corners. Her lips were red and swollen from being sucked, and her collar was disheveled.
Xu Xun’s whole body was tingling and numb. She should have gone with the flow and coaxed Cheng Yang into marking her, but upon sensing the Alpha’s skilled and masterful kissing technique, she felt as if she had been plunged into an ice cave.
Cheng Yang thought she had been pushed away because she had done something wrong, so she clung to her like a soft little kitten, licking and kissing Xu Xun’s lips with her own lips and tongue.
“A-Xun, did I bite you too hard just now? Don’t be angry with me. I won’t do it again.”
Xu Xun held her head high and said, “I’m not angry, and you didn’t bite me. Your kissing skills are very good.”
That sentence sounded very awkward. Cheng Yang could tell that Xu Xun was indeed angry, and for no apparent reason.
During the kiss just now, Xu Xun had gone soft in an instant. Cheng Yang had been happy that she could please her Omega better, but she hadn’t expected to be slapped in the face by reality the next second.
Xu Xun wouldn’t let her get to know her more deeply, and even cruelly pushed her away.
Cheng Yang was very hurt. She didn’t know what kind of person she used to be, but right now, she was very sad.
Two streams of clear tears silently flowed from the corners of her eyes. Cheng Yang slowly reached up to touch them and was shocked to find that she was crying.
The feeling was very foreign. Cheng Yang even felt that these two streams of tears shouldn’t have fallen from her eyes at all.
Xu Xun was still angry, but when she saw Cheng Yang’s tear-streaked face, she was taken aback by the sudden turn of events.
Cheng Yang’s eyes were red as she let the tears fall onto the quilt.
Xu Xun asked with a nervous expression, “Why are you crying?”
Cheng Yang wouldn’t let her wipe her tears, stubbornly turning her head away. “I’m fine, I’m perfectly fine. Since you don’t like me kissing you, then let’s not kiss anymore in the future.”
Sensing that Xu Xun had nothing to say, Cheng Yang said petulantly, “You don’t want me to kiss you, which means that subconsciously, you don’t like me at all. If that’s the case, then what’s the point of us being married? We might as well get a divorce as soon as possible. It would be better for everyone.”
Xu Xun had been twisted up for so long that her awkward personality was deeply ingrained in her soul. No matter how high her EQ was or how smooth she was in front of others, when it came to Cheng Yang, she was still as insecure and cowardly as she had been back then.
The two stared at each other, neither backing down.
Under Cheng Yang’s direct and ardent gaze, Xu Xun finally lost. She said petulantly, as if torturing herself, “You weren’t this good at kissing when you used to kiss me. Have you been with other Omegas?”
