Chapter 8: In Care
The dawn was faintly bright. It was a fresh and damp morning. The light was shining through the floor-to-ceiling window and was on the floor, on the white bedding, and on his handsome and fair face…
The storm had been raging all night, and the end was a light and continuous rain. Gu Zhi had woken up very early. She was not willing to open her eyes. Su Yu had blocked the door, and he was standing there, tall and large. He had stopped Gu Zhi and was looking at the woman in front of him up and down. There had never been a moment when he had felt that the most ordinary shirt in his wardrobe could actually be worn so erotic.
She had said that she was wearing shorts. But in fact, it was a pair of his pajamas, and it had only covered her thighs, and it was white and was shining.
“Change your clothes.”
“It rained all night yesterday. The clothes are not yet dry. They should be dry when I leave in the afternoon.”

When she had raised her head, she had glanced at her, and her heart had been hit by a bullet without any warning.
Su Yu had also pulled down a pair of loose black sweatpants and had held them together and had stuffed them into her arms. “Isn’t your health very bad?”
“I’m not that fragile.”
“So are you leaving or not?”
She had shaken her head and had taken off the hair tie that was tying her hair. “I haven’t put on my makeup yet.”
“Are you lying to me?”
“I thought you didn’t care.” Gu Zhi’s fingertips were twirling her hair, and her demeanor was lazy.
He had gritted his teeth, and his tone was sinister. “When did you become so naive? Are you still Gu Zhi?”
She had turned her head, and her expression was suddenly serious.
“Su Yu, I wish you would look at me seriously.”
