The moment she stepped through the door, the aroma of food filled Luo Xun’s nostrils, and she couldn’t help but swallow. The nanny smiled. “You’re back. Dinner will be ready in ten minutes.”
Tang Qi took Luo Xun’s hand. “Come on, let’s go see the room I prepared for you first.”
To make “tutoring sessions more convenient,” Tang Qi had arranged for Luo Xun’s room to be right next to her own. The two rooms even had a small connecting door between them.
Their rooms were on the second floor. Tang Qi pushed the door open. “Take a look. Do you like it?”
This had been an ordinary guest room. The rigid, cold decor had been completely stripped away and replaced with sky-blue curtains. The snow-white walls were adorned with stickers of all sorts of adorable fish.
The gray bedsheets had been swapped for warm yellow ones. Several large, soft pillows were piled on the bed, making it look so plush you’d want to collapse right onto it and never get up.
The floor was covered with a soft, cute rug. All around were beautiful, delicate ornaments—a music box, an electric guitar, art sketchbooks, and various reference books. Green plants were placed artfully in every corner of the room, their verdant leaves bringing boundless vitality.
Luo Xun fell in love with the room at first sight. It was a room she had only ever seen on TV. She looked around, hesitant to even step inside. She lingered at the doorway, nervous. “This is my room?”
“Of course.” Tang Qi made an inviting gesture. “I present to you your castle, Princess!”
Luo Xun was tickled by the gesture, but her heart was still filled with anxiety. She subconsciously gripped her small suitcase tighter, feeling completely out of place here. “Any random room would be fine for me. You didn’t have to go to all this trouble.”
“How is this trouble? This is an investment.” Tang Qi pulled her inside. “You’ll have to pay me back double in the future.”
The room had its own walk-in closet. The pure white wardrobe was decorated with blue ocean stickers, looking very childlike and charming.
This was Tang Qi’s specific request. After being bullied for so long, Luo Xun’s mental state wouldn’t be very good at all. A purely white room wasn’t suitable for her. Pale blue or light green was much better.
She opened Luo Xun’s suitcase and began hanging up her clothes one by one. To be mindful of Luo Xun’s feelings, she hadn’t ordered anyone to fill the closet beforehand. There were only a few sets of pajamas inside. Luo Xun didn’t own many clothes—just a few school uniforms, washed so often they were faded. She looked at the enormous walk-in closet holding only her few garments and felt a little embarrassed.
“How about this—write me another IOU. I’ll take care of all your clothes, inside and out, from now on.” Tang Qi looked like she was up to no good, like the Big Bad Wolf luring in Little Red Riding Hood.
She leaned in close to Luo Xun, trapping her between herself and the wall, slowly lowering her head. “Hmm? What do you think?”
The breath from Tang Qi’s words brushed against Luo Xun’s neck. She felt her scalp tighten. She hurriedly turned her head away, unwilling to look at Tang Qi, stammering, “What… what do I think about what?”
“Writing another IOU?” Tang Qi bowed her head, reaching out to pinch Luo Xun’s chin and gently turning her face back towards her. She leaned in slightly, their breaths mingling. Luo Xun just felt dizzy, her limbs going weak. She could only press herself nervously against the wall.
She closed her eyes, refusing to look at the face so close to hers. Her brain had completely shut down. “IOU… I’ll write it… yes.”
“Host, you’re acting like a villain taking liberties with a virtuous woman!” The System couldn’t bear to watch any longer.
As soon as it finished speaking, it received a one-day trip to the Dark Room, as expected.
Luo Xun’s eyes were red and swollen from crying, the tip of her nose tinged with a hint of pink, her long eyelashes trembling slightly. And the way she was so small, so soft… it truly stirred a desire to bully her. Tang Qi felt like she’d been possessed by Zhou Chenglong. She really had just meant to tease Luo Xun, nothing more.
But now, she felt like she couldn’t stop!
After all, this was her wife.
She found an excuse for herself. Reaching out, she rubbed her thumb firmly over Luo Xun’s lips, kneading them until their pale color flushed with blood and a bit of redness and swelling, making them look like an invitation for her to take a bite.
Luo Xun couldn’t take this atmosphere. She reached out to gently push Tang Qi away, but Tang Qi suddenly caught both her wrists and pinned them above her head. Forced to arch her back and chest out, Luo Xun felt Tang Qi’s other hand gently rubbing her lips, then slowly sliding downwards.
Her neck… her chest… her waist. The hand roamed over her clothes. When it reached her waist, Tang Qi couldn’t resist giving a hard squeeze!
“Mm!” Luo Xun’s body trembled with Tang Qi’s touch. A muffled moan escaped her lips as she went completely limp against the wall, only able to stand by relying on Tang Qi’s strength. Tears welled up in her eyes. A strange, unfamiliar sensation rampaged through her body.
“Luoluo!” Tang Qi’s voice had gone slightly hoarse. Luo Xun bit her lip and said nothing.
“Can I…” Tang Qi asked, “kiss you?”
Luo Xun didn’t know how to answer. They were both girls. What was Tang Qi saying? But… Luo Xun looked at Tang Qi. Tang Qi was so beautiful, with her stunning eyes and delicate features.
Luo Xun felt bewitched. Her gaze turned dazed.
“Don’t tempt me.” Tang Qi didn’t want to hold back anymore. Without hesitation, she kissed the person she had thought about for ten years. Luo Xun’s eyes widened. She could only watch that beautiful face slowly magnify before her eyes and finally land upon hers.
A wet sensation came, and it was then that Luo Xun realized just how soft lips could be.
She could feel the contact of lips and teeth, could feel Tang Qi tentatively trying to pry open her jaw.
“Little Seven!” It might have been better if Luo Xun hadn’t spoken, but her voice came out with a teary catch, which was undoubtedly an invitation in Tang Qi’s mind. Tang Qi slipped inside her mouth smoothly. Their lips and teeth intertwined, their breaths mingling as one.
Luo Xun was kissed until her whole body went weak. She didn’t even register when Tang Qi released her wrists. Her freed hands clutched at Tang Qi’s clothes. Tilting her head back, she bore it all passively.
Only soft whimpers, like a kitten’s, could be heard in the room.
Unable to resist, Tang Qi held her close, gently kneading her, reining in movements that were becoming increasingly rough.
She so badly wanted to make Luo Xun cry! She wanted so badly to bully her!
It wasn’t until Tang Qi’s phone rang that Luo Xun came back to her senses. She gently pushed at Tang Qi, but Tang Qi didn’t let go. Instead, she bit Luo Xun’s lip, then leaned against her shoulder, breathing slightly heavily.
“Do you hate it?” Tang Qi asked.
Luo Xun didn’t know how to answer. Tang Qi released her, and Luo Xun’s body immediately gave way. She slid straight down to the floor.
“Luoluo!” Tang Qi hurriedly scooped Luo Xun up and gently laid her on the bed. Reaching out, she tenderly stroked her swollen lips. “Do you hate it?” After all, the time they’d known each other in this life was still so short.
In her own heart, they had lived through two lifetimes together. But in Luo Xun’s heart, they were just classmates who had known each other for a few days.
Tang Qi was anxious inside, cursing her own lack of self-control. It must be because she’d been suppressing herself for too long during those ten thousand years of existence!
“Why don’t you go get your phone?” Luo Xun pulled the blanket up to cover her face. Tang Qi shook her head. “No rush.” She inwardly despised herself. She had just self-righteously scolded Zhou Chenglong, and then she’d gone and done this.
“Luoluo, maybe what I’m about to say sounds strange, but I… I feel like we’ve known each other for a long time. If you don’t mind that I’m a girl, I hope you’ll agree to let me pursue you.”
In the two previous lifetimes, Luoluo had always been the one to take the initiative. In this lifetime, it was her turn.
She thought she must have fallen for Luoluo—fallen for having her by her side, regardless of appearance or personality! The soul was always Luoluo.
“I was reckless today. I promise it won’t happen again without your consent!” Tang Qi apologized.
Luo Xun peeked out from under the blanket. After regaining her bearings, she felt a little lost, but she wasn’t angry. She just didn’t know how to face this situation.
Seeing that Tang Qi had no intention of leaving without an answer, Luo Xun’s voice was barely louder than a mosquito’s buzz. “You go get your phone first. I… I don’t hate it.”
“Really?” Tang Qi took Luo Xun’s hand. Luo Xun turned her face away, blushing furiously.
Realizing that Luo Xun was just shy, Tang Qi decided not to push her. “I’ll treat you well, Luoluo.” As Luo Xun watched Tang Qi get up to find her phone, she reached out and patted her own cheeks.
What in the world was this? Was something like this even possible between girls?
But… Luo Xun watched Tang Qi’s figure, a hint of infatuation—unbeknownst even to herself—flickering in her eyes. It seemed she truly didn’t hate it. She even… kind of liked it…
The ringtone had long since stopped. Tang Qi picked up her phone and saw the missed call was from Xu Yan.
She called back. Xu Yan told her that the parents of the other party kept insisting on a private settlement and weren’t cooperating with the investigation. They had now taken the matter to the school, demanding the school intervene.
“They’re now at school, insisting that Luo Xun and Zhou Chenglong were in a relationship and broke up, and that they went to Luo Xun’s house to mediate as friends. They claim Luo Xun’s mother fainted because she got too emotional. They’re also denying ever bullying Luo Xun at school before, calling it just playful scuffles between friends.”
Xu Yan continued, “I’ve finished collecting evidence on my end and can file for the case in a few days. But shouldn’t you go to the school and take a look?”
Tang Qi knew these people wouldn’t give up easily. She checked the time. Evening self-study period was just starting. She nodded slightly. “I’ll go to school now.”
Luo Xun crawled out from under the blanket. “What’s wrong?”
Tang Qi explained the situation. “They just want the school to step in. If the school mediates a settlement, it will affect both of us.”
“I’ll go with you.”
Tang Qi helped her put on her slippers. “No rush. Let’s have dinner first.” Luo Xun had a habit, over many years, of not eating properly and was riddled with health problems. She needed careful nourishment.
After dinner, the two of them headed to school. It was then that Luo Xun realized Tang Qi’s house was only a few minutes’ walk from the school. Thinking of how Tang Qi insisted on picking her up and dropping her off every day, Luo Xun felt both heartache and a sweet happiness inside.
They went straight to the office. The principal was there this time, along with several parents who were making a noisy scene, even claiming the school’s failure to supervise led to the students dating, causing this entire situation.
They even implied, overtly and covertly, that Luo Xun had bad character.
Tang Qi pushed the door open. The parents’ voices lowered slightly when they saw her. The principal looked helpless. “Tang Qi, Luo Xun, you’ve come at the right time. What are your views on this?”
On the way over, Luo Xun had already thought it through clearly. “I’ve already entrusted Lawyer Xu to file a lawsuit. This is a criminal case. It shouldn’t be resolved at school.”
The principal’s head ached. His gaze shifted to Tang Qi. Tang Qi spoke up, “Everyone knows the truth of the matter. Why bother lying to deceive yourselves? Having such students in school is irresponsible towards everyone else. Who knows if they might someday harm others over personal grudges.”
“Well, what do you think then?” A parent flared up.
“What I think isn’t important. The key is what the other parents think! If they knew about this, I’m afraid they wouldn’t dare leave their children in this school!” Tang Qi’s gaze settled on the principal. “Therefore, they should be expelled. Don’t you agree?”
