After an Alluring Alpha Provokes an Unhinged Omega 7

Chapter 7: Canceled

The Azure Hotel was a five-star hotel in Huai City, located near the highway exit for the film studio. It was arguably the local star-rated hotel with the highest celebrity appearance rate.

The company hadn’t provided Jiang Mi with a nanny van. The current black SUV was a friendly sponsorship from Zhou Shanshan.

The car drove into the underground parking garage. Jiang Mi, wearing a pale yellow trench coat, got out of the car. Zhao Jia tugged at her clothes, signaling for her to look not far away.

Jiang Mi looked up and saw a fleeting crimson figure in front of the glass doors of the underground parking garage.

Actually, they had noticed Yan Wei’s car ahead of them on the road earlier.

Zhao Jia urged, “Let’s go, let’s go up together.”

Jiang Mi tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. By the time they chased after her, the elevator doors were closing.

Her eyes met the person inside. Two seconds later, the elevator doors completely cut off their line of sight.

“…”

Zhao Jia comforted her, “It’s okay, she probably didn’t have time.”

Jiang Mi nodded in agreement. “Definitely.”

The two looked at each other and were silent for a moment. Zhao Jia pursed her lips, leaned closer to Jiang Mi, and asked in a low voice, “Did we offend her?”

Given the situation, the person in the elevator had plenty of time to hold the door for them. It seemed that this Teacher Yan was not only aloof but also didn’t like them very much.

Jiang Mi tilted her head, the two heads close together. “You’re overthinking it. It’s not ‘we’.”

The one who had offended Yan Wei was her, this mysterious woman.

Zhao Jia thought for a moment and came up with a plan. “Teacher Yan is on the 20th floor. Why don’t you deliver the gift to her later? Maybe she thinks that all the other actors received gifts except for her, which makes us seem rude.”

Jiang Mi said, “Delivering it now would be the rude thing to do.”

Jiang Mi stared at the elevator’s floor display. The woman barely tolerated her as it was. Knocking on her door to give her something was a bit too shameless.

The elevator was still ascending. The air was filled with the hotel’s signature lily-of-the-valley scent. The atmosphere was quiet.

Surui looked at Yan Wei. “It seems you really don’t like her.”

Yan Wei’s expression was as cold as usual. She didn’t say anything, and Surui was used to it. “But I think she’s quite cute. Her manager is thoughtful too; even I received a small gift. Look.”

Surui pulled a phone charm out of her bag.

Yan Wei was completely uninterested. “Mmm.”

“What did she give you when I wasn’t here this afternoon?”

Yan Wei: “Nothing.”

Surui: “Hmm? That’s strange. I heard she’s your fan. Did you scare her into unfollowing you?”

The elevator doors opened. Yan Wei gave her a faint glance. Surui stood there, maintaining her smile. Although she was quite influential in the entertainment industry and was considered Yan Wei’s discoverer, she still didn’t have the courage to provoke this woman.

“Oh, the gown for the red carpet event at the end of the month will be delivered to the hotel later.”

She stood still and said to Yan Wei, “I won’t see you to your room. Also, your aunt called me just now. Remember to check your phone.”

The only response she got was a silent back.

Yan Wei swiped her room card and took a suppressor from her bag, tossing the bag and her phone onto the sofa. She took off her coat, lifted the hem of her black sweater with both hands, and pulled it off. Beneath the minimalist black bra was a fair, soft waist, and then a large expanse of white skin.

She shed all her restraints outside the bathroom door and then shut it heavily.

Soon, the dry bathroom was filled with moisture and steam.

Inside the bathroom, an empty suppressor tube lay on the floor.

The woman’s neck transitioned from cool white to a deep red. Hot water flowed over the needle mark and the sensitive gland, and her body was trembling physiologically.

She squinted, placing her entire body under the hot water. Her pale pink hands rubbed her neck, and finally, her five fingers closed around her throat. She squeezed unconsciously, as if with enough force, she could drive out the itching from within her body.

They had had time to let Jiang Mi into the elevator earlier, but she really didn’t want to be in that confined space with that woman—no matter how gentle and harmless an Alpha’s scent was, as an Omega, she couldn’t escape the pull of compatibility.

During the script reading and the opening ceremony later, because they weren’t very close, she could barely resist the Alpha’s milky pheromone scent. Today during filming, perhaps because she hadn’t been stimulated for a long time, her glands suddenly reacted after touching Jiang Mi. She even had to go to the restroom to deal with it right after filming that scene.

This was the first time this had happened.

And now, she still needed a suppressor to control the continuous physiological effects.

She suddenly let out a cold laugh, her eyes filled with mockery.

Perhaps she shouldn’t have brought this trouble upon herself.

She vaguely remembered it being the same on the audition set that day. The Alpha, with her swollen peach-blossom eyes, had tearfully recited those explicit lines—Do you love me as a person, my rough fingers, or the tip of my tongue?

At the time, she had found it truly interesting. It wasn’t just the pheromones; just a single line from that Alpha could make her completely wet.

A person like that was undoubtedly dangerous to her. She had known it from the first time she met Jiang Mi, but the Jiang Mi of that day had given her a different feeling.

So when Jiang Qu asked her what she thought of this person, she hadn’t refused.

She hated trouble and danger, but she enjoyed this kind of stimulation and pain. She didn’t care if this person was Jiang Mi or someone else; she just felt a renewed sense of being alive.

It had been a long time.

And the filming for Spring would last for a full three months… three months…

A long time later, Yan Wei came out of the bathroom.

The phone on the sofa was vibrating rhythmically. She wrapped herself in a towel and sat down, the brown leather sofa sinking slightly. The screen showed a missed call from Mo Yun. She frowned slightly.

She unlocked the phone and saw a message that had just popped up.

Mo Yun: [Bring Jiang Mi home for dinner another day.]

She stared at the name that appeared with such high frequency—however, this person might start to annoy her sooner than she thought.

After a few seconds, she tossed the phone aside, with no intention of replying.

**

Jiang Mi had just finished showering and was standing in front of the bathroom mirror wearing the hotel’s white bathrobe. She observed her micro-expressions in the mirror, trying to act opposite herself.

The scene that Yan Wei had “gifted” her in the evening was firmly embedded in her chest like a chip.

Yan Wei’s power was an invisible pressure. She was an actress too. Even if she couldn’t catch up, she should at least not be unable to cope.

She began to truly experience Liang Yongping’s feelings for Qin Shui.

She looked at Liang Yongping in the mirror.

She recalled Qin Shui’s every glance and smile, recalled Qin Shui pinning her against the door, her love aggressive.

—The scent on Qin Shui’s body was that of rose shower gel, just like her, charming and soft.

Qin Shui’s hands were soft, but always cool, like… soft pudding, or the smoothest kind of cake, sometimes making one want to take it into their mouth.

Qin Shui’s lips were the most dangerous. When they were close, her full lips were like a switch pressing on her heart, making her head swell and her teeth ache.

To kiss them, or to bite them, to grind her teeth against them, to make them flush red with blood.

And then, because she looked so pitiful, to cherish them.

They would kiss again, treasuring every moment their lips and tongues intertwined.

Then, she would probably kiss Qin Shui’s neck. The pulse was passionate, and there was a thin layer of sweat on the tender skin. Her kisses became a little dry, so she lingered in one spot, on the most sensitive part of her neck, licking it gently… the scent of roses, a faint saltiness, and the unique body fragrance of a woman.

It should have a hint of sweetness, a fresh and mellow fruitiness, a touch of oaky fragrance. It was the scent of brandy.

Brandy…

No!

Jiang Mi suddenly shivered violently.

She pulled herself back from the startling imagination. When she looked at the woman in the mirror again, she realized that at some point, it was no longer Liang Yongping.

She subconsciously pressed her hand against her “thump-thump” beating heart, but—the heartbeat that belonged to Jiang Mi was still there.

Jiang Mi stood there in a daze for a moment, then shook her head vigorously. That was close, she had almost disrespected Yan Wei.

But the good news was, she was getting the feeling of being in character.

Suddenly, for a moment, an absurd thought flashed through Jiang Mi’s mind: When Yan Wei saw Liang Yongping in the script, would her face appear in her mind?

**

The sky was just beginning to lighten. They were setting out early today.

Jiang Mi drank the freshly squeezed soy milk Zhao Jia had made and read the script in the car.

Zhao Jia saw that she was in a good mood today and said, “You’re strange. Other actresses would be overjoyed to hear they get to film a kissing scene with Yan Wei. But you, you were gloomy during filming, and now that you know it’s temporarily not happening, you’re full of energy.”

The news of the change had come late last night.

For whatever reason, Jiang Qu had decided to postpone the kissing scene and replace it with other scenes involving physical contact.

In the morning, Jiang Mi had even seen a private message from Jiang Qu sent at three in the morning: [Since I chose you, I believe you can do it. I’ll give you some time. I hope you can give me back a real “Liang Yongping”.]

Jiang Mi thought that perhaps her performance yesterday had been too poor. As the director in charge of the whole production, Jiang Qu definitely didn’t want to see filming come to a halt right at the beginning. So she decided to give her some time.

So actually, her mood this morning wasn’t that great, but when she thought about how it was all her fault, this not-so-good mood turned into a kind of motivation.

This was why Zhao Jia thought she was “full of energy.”

Jiang Mi didn’t have time to answer Zhao Jia, because the vibration of her phone interrupted her.

Seeing the caller ID, her expression relaxed. “Dear mother.”

Jiang Youshu’s smiling voice came from the other end, “Sweetie, are you in the car? Have you had breakfast?”

“Mmm-hmm. What’s up? Calling so early?”

“Can’t I call my sweetie if there’s nothing?”

“You can, you can. So what’s up?”

Didn’t she know her dear Jiang Youshu by now?

Jiang Youshu was in a good mood hearing this. “I was just thinking, it’s fine if you don’t stay there, but if you have time, you should go see Auntie Mo. She’s always thinking of us. She called me last night and asked if you were unwilling to go over.”

Jiang Mi bit the soy milk straw. “Okay, I’ll go see her when I have time. Has Jiang Hu recently returned?”

She changed the subject, trying to shift her mother’s attention to her other unfilial daughter.

Sure enough, Jiang Youshu said angrily, “Why would she come back? She can just live with her auto repair shop!”

Jiang Mi played the good guy again, saying with a grin, “She’s in a relationship. It’s normal for her to be busy.”

Jiang Youshu was silent for a few seconds. “Don’t you change the subject on me. Jiang Hu is disobedient. Don’t you learn from her.”

Jiang Mi: “…Eh, you’re so quick to react now. You’re truly my dear mother.”

Jiang Youshu still couldn’t bring herself to scold her. In the end, she said earnestly, “If you’re not willing to go, you should at least be polite. It would be good to give her a call.”

“It’s not that I’m unwilling, it’s just…”

“I heard. I also just found out that the little girl who used to follow you around calling you ‘sister’ is actually the Yan Wei from TV. But she’s a big star now, and you haven’t seen each other in so long. It’s definitely not the same as before. It’s normal for your relationship to be distant. But Auntie Mo is good to you, so you have to be polite.” Jiang Youshu emphasized again.

Jiang Mi had almost bitten through the straw without realizing it. She was always in a state of high concentration when Yan Wei was mentioned.

“I know, but I remember Auntie Mo didn’t live there for long before she moved away. She’s still so enthusiastic toward me now… I actually don’t have much of an impression of her.”

“Maybe she just likes you. Our family helped them back then. Actually, your Auntie Mo has had a hard life. That child, Yan Wei, had a hard childhood too…”

Hearing this, Jiang Mi subconsciously turned the phone volume down even lower.

About ten minutes later, she hung up the phone.

Zhao Jia looked at her somber expression and asked with concern, “What’s wrong? Is something wrong at home?”

The car happened to stop.

Jiang Mi shook her head and got out of the car. She had never imagined that the reason Yan Wei’s family had moved back then was like that. No wonder Yan Wei always had a “keep away” air about her now.

An almost sad expression appeared on Jiang Mi’s face. Zhao Jia’s heart panicked. She asked, “What’s wrong, my dear? I think I heard you say something about a sister? Is there anything I can help with?”

Jiang Mi stopped. Her gaze was fixed ahead. She said in a low voice, “Can you help me make two cups of soy milk tomorrow?”

Zhao Jia: “…Huh? Yes, yes, yes, I can.”

Before Zhao Jia could ask again, Jiang Mi was already gone.

Yan Wei got out of the nanny van. It had rained last night, and the ground was damp everywhere. When her high heels stepped on it, even the sound in the air seemed to sink a little.

People around her greeted her, and she would nod symbolically, but very faintly.

But she soon wrinkled her nose, her eyes narrowing.

The next second, a bright and fresh face appeared before her. The person’s eyes curved up, holding the kind of stars that only appear in the night sky after a rain.

“Good morning, Teacher Yan.”

The Alpha who had been flustered, nervous, and even dejected because of the kissing scene yesterday had regained her free and unrestrained colors on her face today.

Yan Wei stared at the person before her, and then she remembered.

Oh, Jiang Qu had canceled today’s kissing scene…

While on set, Yan Wei hears that her Omega younger sister has brought a female Alpha home. She rushes back overnight, only to be pulled into a full embrace by a beautiful, milky-scented Alpha the moment she opens the door the next day.

Their pheromones are a perfect match, causing Yan Wei's glands to flush red. Yet, the person before her is completely oblivious, even calling her 'sister' with intimate familiarity.

At first sight, Yan Wei knows she's a siren.

**

Jiang Mi has always longed for a gentle older sister. As a child, she loved following her neighbor-sister around and was heartbroken for a long time after she moved away.

She never imagined that she would meet her again one day while temporarily staying at her house. Even more unexpectedly, her neighbor-sister turns out to be none other than her idol, the Movie Queen Yan Wei! In a moment of excitement, Jiang Mi twists her ankle and lunges forward, pulling Yan Wei into an accidental embrace.

Yan Wei is a famously aloof beauty who is on bad terms with her family. Hoping to soothe her idol and see her happy, Jiang Mi slowly draws closer, sincerely trying to win her over and practically doting on her.

But Yan Wei remains indifferent, rarely offering a smile, and their interactions are always marked by her dominance. After they finish filming a movie together, Jiang Mi quietly distances herself.

Until—she takes on another drama with two female leads that includes a kissing scene. Lacking experience, she asks Yan Wei for help.

The moment the door opens, she's pinned to the sofa by the Omega in heat.

Yan Wei leans close to her ear and laughs softly, "Asking me to teach you this kind of scene... you really are bold, aren't you?"

Only then does Jiang Mi realize: so much for 'abstinent and aloof'—the woman is clearly unhinged!
