The seaside air carried a salty tang, and Liang Sheng took a deep breath. She hadn’t packed a swimsuit, and with the weather turning cooler, going into the water would probably lead to catching a cold. Besides, she had already warned the girls behind her not to go in.

“Thank you for forgiving Hana!” Tears of “gratitude” welled up in Hana’s eyes and spilled over. She hurriedly turned away, ran a few steps, and covered her face with her hands, back to Liang Sheng and the group.
Beneath her hands was a face twisted in rage, dark and venomous.

Ni Sihan watched the whole thing in bewilderment. As a newcomer, she knew nothing of the backstory and was utterly confused.
“Huh?” She nudged Liang Jin with her elbow. “You’re Liang Sheng’s cousin, right? You must know her well. What exactly did they do? It looks pretty serious.”
Liang Jin shrugged helplessly. “No idea. I’ll ask my cousin later.”
Over on Liang Sheng’s side, she hurried over with relief and patted Hana’s back. “Don’t cry, don’t cry, Hana. You did great~ Sickness like this isn’t scary. I’ll stick with you and help you get better, step by step~”
In an instant, Hana’s vicious expression melted back into that of an adorable girl. She turned, grabbed Liang Sheng’s arm, and clung to it. “Yeah~ Sheng-chan has to stay with Hana forever~ Watch Hana get better little by little~”
Sheng-chan said she’d stay with Hana forever~ That was the only part that registered in Hana’s ears.
