That scream jolted Cha Susu awake from her deep sleep. In a panic, she reached out and grabbed Liang Sheng’s hand. “What’s going on? What happened? What did you see?”
Just moments earlier, Liang Sheng had rolled over and opened her eyes. In the dim room, she spotted a tangle of hair right in front of her face. Her heart nearly stopped in sheer terror—her soul almost leaped out of her mouth.
What the hell was that?!
At that moment, Ou Lu turned her head and gave an apologetic smile to the two little girls on the bed who had been startled awake. “Sorry about that. I just finished work and slipped under the covers because it was freezing. You two looked so cozy sleeping, so I thought I’d join you. But the bed seemed too small, so… I figured I’d drag the one next to it over. My bad—I didn’t mean to scare you. I’ll head back to my own bed.”
“No, no, no!” Liang Sheng latched onto Ou Lu’s wrist. “Sister Ou Lu, come sleep with us!”
“Well then… thanks, girls~”
Ding~ Favorability increased.
“Ou Lu’s Favorability towards Liang Sheng: 91”
Ou Lu dragged the bed over and, worried the blankets might not be long enough, added an extra layer from beside it.
Liang Sheng’s small hand clasped Ou Lu’s. “Wow~ Sister Ou Lu, your hand is so cold! You must be freezing. Come closer and warm up—don’t catch a chill~”
Ding~ Favorability increased.
“Ou Lu’s Favorability towards Liang Sheng: 93”
“You’re so thoughtful~” Obediently, Ou Lu snuggled up against Liang Sheng.
A beat later, Liang Sheng realized the problem. Why was the room so damn cold? She glanced at the air conditioner on the wall opposite her and felt a chill run down her spine.
Not one of the three had thought to turn on the AC for heat in this icy room.
“Susu, Sister Ou Lu…” Liang Sheng was starting to feel cold herself. She struggled out of the covers. “I’ll go turn on the air conditioner.”
Her words hit Cha Susu and Ou Lu like a splash of cold water—they exchanged glances in the dark and burst out laughing with a shared “pfft.”
How stupid. It was so cold, and not a single one of them had remembered to turn on the heat.
Liang Sheng flipped on the air conditioner and dove back under the covers. After her little excursion, she was the one shivering now. “Hug me tighter, pretty please? Waaah, it’s so cold!”
Cha Susu wrapped her arms around one of Liang Sheng’s arms and draped her leg over Liang Sheng’s. Ou Lu slung her arm across Liang Sheng’s waist, rested her head on her shoulder, and puffed warm breaths against her neck.
Ah… jackpot! In this blissful moment, Liang Sheng couldn’t help but wax poetic—no, just revel in the sheer bliss.
“Still cold?” Cha Susu whispered.
Surrounded by warmth and pressed snugly against something soft, Liang Sheng’s blood was practically boiling—cold was the last thing on her mind. But she was clever from a young age. “A little. Get a bit closer, hehe… Ahem!”
She nearly let her inner pervert slip! Liang Sheng wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth.
“Oh, okay!”
The two girls scooted even nearer, without a shred of suspicion.
Wooow~ The sensations were even more vivid now! Tears of joy nearly welled up in Liang Sheng’s eyes—or maybe from her mouth, who knew.
In her excitement, Liang Sheng fidgeted too much, and her leg accidentally brushed against something.
“Mmph!” Cha Susu let out a sudden yelp and pulled her leg back slightly.
“Wha…” Liang Sheng’s face flushed crimson. Had her leg just… no, no way! She was a proper person—she was overthinking it!
“Let’s… let’s sleep!” Heart pounding with exhilaration, Liang Sheng squeezed her eyes shut, leaving Cha Susu alone with her racing thoughts.
What just happened? Cha Susu covered her face with one hand. It felt like she’d been taken advantage of, but… no, Liang Sheng hadn’t meant to. Still…
Aaaah!! Cha Susu wanted to roll around on the bed.
Harboring their little secrets, the three girls eventually drifted off to sleep.
Things were cozy enough over here, but Gu Yuqi’s side was a battlefield of open and covert clashes. And over with Dong Yue, it was a genuine headache.
“Zhen Zhu, you’re not a little kid anymore—can’t you wash yourself?” Dong Yue rubbed her temples. “Fine, I’ll help you.”
“No way!” Zhen Zhu hugged herself tightly. “I’m not letting you see! Nyah nyah~”
Dong Yue had no choice but to be patient with the little rascal. “Your auntie will help you, okay? You played so much today—you’re all sweaty. You’ll be uncomfortable sleeping like that.”
“I don’t care! Mom and Dad said no letting other people see my body!” Zhen Zhu planted her hands on her hips.
Dong Yue sighed helplessly. “But I’m a girl, and I’m your auntie.”
“Hmm?” Zhen Zhu tilted her head. “So girls can see each other?”
Dong Yue sucked in her cheeks. “Not exactly, but this is a special situation.”
The twin-tailed bear child’s big eyes darted around mischievously, plotting something.
“Then, if it’s a special case and a girl can help me bathe… call Liang Sheng over!” Sure enough, Zhen Zhu had been scheming.
“How can you keep bothering Liang Sheng like that?” She was Dong Yue’s student, but still—Dong Yue felt bad imposing.
Zhen Zhu puffed up in a huff, her stubborn streak flaring. She plopped down on the floor. “I don’t care! If a girl can bathe me, then Liang Sheng it is!”
“Why are you so fixated on Liang Sheng? Sister Liang Sheng’s been so nice to you.” Dong Yue reached to pat her head.
Zhen Zhu nimbly dodged her aunt’s hand. “It’s not that I hate her! Out of all you guys, she’s the only one I like!”
Dong Yue felt a pang. “Does that mean your auntie’s bad to you? How can you dislike me like that?”
The little rascal blurted out whatever came to mind, with zero regard for feelings.
“You’re the one who’s not nice to me! I want Liang Sheng!”
Dong Yue coaxed her a bit longer, to no avail.
Finally, even the ever-gentle Teacher Dong Yue lost her patience. She scooped Zhen Zhu up and marched to the bathroom, ignoring the girl’s struggles.
The little loli was no match strength-wise and was thoroughly dealt with once inside.
As she washed her, Dong Yue didn’t forget her role as a devoted educator, nagging on. “Zhen Zhu, you’re a big girl now—you need to learn independence. And you shouldn’t talk to your auntie like that. Actually, you shouldn’t speak to any elder that way; it’s rude…”
And so on.
Zhen Zhu felt like a tight headband had been clamped on her, regretting her earlier sass toward Teacher Dong Yue.
After the bath, they finally turned in—the last room to go dark.
In the dead of night, Zhen Zhu woke up needing to pee. She tiptoed to the bathroom, then instead of returning to bed, headed for the door.
