Chapter 25 p1
“Ooh… don’t rub me…”
In the master bedroom on the third floor of the small building, Pei the Red Panda was curled up in a ball under the covers. Her paws pressed against her own furry ears, yet she couldn’t escape the sensation of being kneaded.
The feeling was just like—
—Ye Qingyu was using those clean, slender hands to work mischief on her ears, her warm, delicate fingertips stroking and pressing, kneading her soft, large ears into various shapes.
Pei the Red Panda was so overcome that her whole body curled up, the tip of her pink tongue sticking out helplessly as she panted.
…
Ye Qingyu, having had her fill of affectionately squishing the red panda plush toy’s ears, picked up the blanket and the doll and returned to her own bedroom.
The doll was placed on her bedside table and covered with the blanket.
The young woman gently caressed its belly with her fingertips, her expression soft.
“Although I don’t know if you have a prototype, sleep well.”
…
On the third floor of the small building.
Pei the Red Panda felt her furry ears suddenly being let go. A moment later, her belly was lightly scratched, and then everything returned to tranquility.
She panted with her mouth open, her gaze dazed, her chaotic heartbeat still refusing to calm down.
One minute, five minutes, a quarter of an hour…
She waited for a while with her ears perked up and found that the sensation did not return. All that was left was the cool spring breeze gently caressing her hot body, a scene of calm after a sudden storm.
Pei the Red Panda gradually relaxed and looked around.
She limply raised her paws and clawed at the air, confirming that there was indeed only one red panda on the bed.
So what was that just now?
Was it a hallucination, or some symptom of her approaching mating season?
In the exhaustion that followed such a vigorous petting session, Pei the Red Panda didn’t have the energy to think too much about it. She unconsciously closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
…
On Sunday, Ye Qingyu went to a craft store and made a red panda bracelet.
The reddish-brown jade beads were translucent and full, with an exquisite, small red panda clay charm in the middle—a satisfactory result of a whole day’s work.
It will surely look very good on Boss Pei.
Returning home with the carefully prepared handmade gift, Ye Qingyu washed up and got into bed. Her peripheral vision caught the plush toy on the side.
A thought struck her. On a whim, she put the bracelet she had made for Boss Pei on the doll’s furry paw—as if they were wearing a matching set.
A red panda wearing a red panda bracelet is just too cute.
Ye Qingyu’s heart was about to melt at the sight. She hugged the plush toy and, with practiced ease, began to rub it.
At this very moment, at No. 108, Fluffy Road, in the second-floor recreation area of the small building.
Pei the Red Panda was sharing her experience of training humans with the other small animals.
She sat on a beanbag sofa, her paws pushing up the sunglasses she wore to look cool.
“Next, I will talk about how to make a human inseparable from you and eternally loyal.”
Jin Can blinked her eager, puppy-dog eyes and took out a pen and paper, ready to take notes.
Wu Shu’s jade-green eyes were dark. She nudged Jin Can’s shoulder and whispered, “Let me copy it later.”
Jin Can nodded.
Over there, Pei the Red Panda lifted her fluffy head and said with an air of unattainability:
“You just need to be a cute red panda with a heart-shaped patch of fur on your belly, and humans will automatically fall at your paws.”
“…”
Jin Can froze, her pen in hand.
She is a Golden Retriever. How is she supposed to turn into a red panda?
Luo Bian crossed her arms and leaned lazily against the doorway of the recreation area. After listening, she let out a sneer, spoiling the mood.
“Is the ‘Pei the Red Panda’ class in session again? Requesting a permanent hiatus.”
Pei the Red Panda ignored her and proudly took off her sunglasses. “Next, I will talk about how to make a human come back to you.”
This question was of the utmost importance. Jin Can perked up her ears, gripped her pen again, and prepared to take notes.
“Rub her ears. Let her taste the goodness of having her ears rubbed.”
Pei the Red Panda said with profound mystery, “And then, don’t allow her to rub them anymore.”
It sounds so reasonable!
Jin Can scribbled down notes. She wasn’t very good at writing yet. When she encountered something she didn’t know how to record, she would draw some simple, original puppy symbols.
She raised her hand and asked, “Sister Rong, is this what you do to your human?”
Pei the Red Panda’s ears twitched. She put her sunglasses back on to hide her guilty eyes.
“Of course. Only I get to rub my human’s ears.”
Jin Can’s puppy-dog eyes instantly sparkled, full of adoration.
“Sister Rong is so amazing! I will work hard to learn from you—”
She stopped mid-sentence.
She saw Sister Rong suddenly let out a soft “whimper” and lie down limply on the beanbag sofa, curling up and covering her furry ears with her paws.
Jin Can froze, then quickly stood up. “Sister Rong, what’s wrong?”
Luo Bian was also astonished and quickly looked out the window. “Has the evil red panda class been struck down by heavenly justice?”
Pei the Red Panda was beginning to suspect she could get pregnant from her ears.
After returning from Ye Qingyu’s place yesterday, she had felt her ears being rubbed and kneaded out of thin air, and had ultimately dismissed it as a brief hallucination.
But unexpectedly, at this very moment, that sensation had suddenly reappeared, and had even become clearer and more intense, as if a human’s hand were truly taking liberties with her sensitive, furry ears.
The subtle touch, the nimble movements, the persistent force—it rubbed Pei the Red Panda until a tingling, melting pleasure spread through her entire body.
Seeing Sister Rong, who had been so calm and composed just a second ago, suddenly shrink into a ball and tremble slightly, the small animals all began to panic.
“What’s wrong with Sister Rong?”
“Quick—quick, send Sister Rong to the hospital!”
“N-no need.”
Pei the Red Panda struggled against the sensation coming from her ears and, stumbling with weak limbs, fled the recreation area. She finally returned to her room on the third floor and collapsed into a limp, fluffy pancake.
She panted for a while, then suddenly felt the hand rubbing her ears let go.
She couldn’t help but cock her head. Could the hallucination have disappeared again?
After lying motionless for a moment, Pei the Red Panda tentatively did a somersault and gradually relaxed.
But in the next second, she was so scared she shot up, her furry paws held high in surrender, exposing the heart-shaped patch of snow-white fur on her belly.
—Her… her large, fluffy tail was also being rubbed!
This spot was even more sensitive than her ears. Just a couple of gentle rubs made her whole body go weak as a hot sensation spread from her chest.
Her limbs were all soft and weak. She couldn’t even maintain her standing surrender posture and collapsed onto the bed with a muffled thud, her large tail held high, trembling uncontrollably.
“Ooh…”
A hot, tearful quality had already seeped into Pei the Red Panda’s voice. Her sharp claws had torn the bedsheets, and she whimpered helplessly, “Don’t rub my tail…”
…
Over on the other side, Ye Qingyu, having had her fill of playing with the plush toy’s tail, finally hugged it and closed her eyes to sleep with satisfaction.
“Red panda… my little panda…”
She murmured unconsciously, gradually drifting into a dream.
The dream was long and bizarre, and she could never make out the specific characters or plot.
Until a red panda with a heart-shaped patch of white fur on its belly whipped her fiercely with its large tail.
“If you rub me, Pei the Red Panda, again, I’ll bite you!”
The red panda wore cool sunglasses, bared the tips of its sharp canines, and licked its pink tongue, threatening her fiercely.
But in the end, it was just caught by her, held in her arms, and repeatedly rubbed into a pancake of fur that had lost its dreams, crying and whimpering…
Ring, ring, ring—
The alarm clock went off.
Ye Qingyu opened her eyes, feeling groggy.
She usually couldn’t remember her dreams very well, but now, she clearly recalled the scene from her dream just now.
Her pupils couldn’t help but tremble—
That red panda called itself “Pei the Red Panda.” Could it be that I dreamed of Boss Pei as a red panda? And I even rubbed her until she cried in my dream.
That’s too much, too immoral!
Although that red panda felt very soft… Her breath hitched, and she stopped her reminiscence in time.
A dream so disconnected from reality was better left forgotten.
She casually touched the red panda she was hugging and got up to make her bed.
It was Monday. Time to go to work.
Ye Qingyu brought the red panda bracelet she had prepared and arrived at the company with a certain sense of anticipation, slacking off while waiting for her beautiful boss to arrive so she could give her the gift.
Her colleagues were engrossed in Shui Zhu’s newly released masterpiece, Telepathy! A Red Panda Plays with a Human Doll, discussing it every now and then.
In the heated atmosphere, Ye Qingyu couldn’t help but feel a little curious.
She had already seen the niche literature last time. It couldn’t possibly get any more niche this time, right?
With this thought, she opened the PDF file in the group and began to read with a sense of reverence:
【On the spring equinox, the human presents a doll that looks exactly like herself. The red panda happily accepts it and sleeps with it in her arms. At night, the red panda raises a paw to rub the doll, and the human on the bed suddenly flushes, her whole body going numb as if she were being rubbed. She trembles and cries, “Whose paw is rubbing me…”】
Ye Qingyu’s eyes suddenly widened.
She felt a sense of trepidation, as if she would never dare to read Shui Zhu’s masterpieces again.
She silently closed the PDF and glanced at the time. It was already 10 AM, and Boss Pei still hadn’t come to the work area.
She couldn’t help but ask her colleague, “Gu Yue, do you know why Boss Pei hasn’t come to work yet?”
“Sister Rong is in the hospital,” Gu Yue said.
“Ah.” Ye Qingyu’s heart tightened, and she quickly asked, “What’s wrong with Boss Pei?”
“She seems to be feeling a little unwell and said she’s going to the hospital for an IV drip,” Gu Yue said. “But she won’t let us accompany her. It’s all very mysterious.”
Ye Qingyu immediately remembered that Boss Pei had been frightened by the lightning the day before yesterday and had gone back looking a little weak.
She couldn’t help but worry. She took out her phone and sent the woman a message, but never received a reply.
And so, she was a little absent-minded all the way until she went to the market with Sister Luo.
