Chapter 5: Curing the Sickness
So Yier Meng stopped in her tracks, listening from a distance.
She didn’t forget to turn around, twisting the doorknob with her hand and pulling the door firmly shut.
“Student, is there something troubling you? I think that as a teacher, I might be able to help you, if you’re willing to tell me what’s on your mind…”
Yier Meng spoke in a gentle, negotiating tone, carefully choosing her words.
“No! I’m sick!”
But the elf girl retorted very quickly, her voice even louder than before.
“Sick?” Yier Meng paused for a moment.
Under the circumstances, however, “sickness” was a rather apt description. If this condition were to occur in a succubus, it would be of little consequence, as that was a race whose members were constantly exuding female hormones. For an elf, however, this situation was quite rare.
“No one can understand how I feel. I’m always hiding from my classmates, and people say I’m aloof, that elves are impossible to get along with. I’m clearly the princess of my clan, yet I always have to avoid others, suppressing myself, letting them point and whisper. I’ve had enough!”
The elf girl poured out a torrent of words, as if she had truly been repressed for a very long time.
Yier Meng didn’t stop her from continuing. After being repressed for so long, being able to speak out was a proper release of emotion, which would be beneficial for their subsequent conversation.
“You can’t understand my suffering. My sickness is getting worse and worse.”
The elf girl shook her head fiercely.
This rejection was, more or less, what Yier Meng had expected.
But she wasn’t going to give up so easily. The fact that this girl wasn’t just any ordinary elf, but an elven princess, did give her a small surprise. However, one must strike while the iron is hot. When it came to curing a sickness, she couldn’t just ignore the patient simply because the patient told her to.
Therefore, Yier Meng tried her best to put on the gentlest smile, attempting to adopt an approachable posture to communicate properly with the elf.
“First of all, I don’t think you’re sick.”
“No! I am sick! And it’s incurable! Please, just pretend you didn’t see me this time. Or even if you see me in the future, just leave me alone!”
Before Yier Meng could finish, the emotionally agitated elf girl interrupted her again.
This forced Yier Meng to change her strategy.
“Alright, I understand now that you’re sick. But based on what you just said, it seems you have a favor to ask of me. How about this: I can keep your secret, but on one condition—you have to let me help you cure your sickness.”
Her proposal made the elf girl deeply conflicted.
Yier Meng was right. Her hope that Yier Meng would leave her alone was a hope that she wouldn’t go around gossiping. But now, Yier Meng’s meaning was clear: she would only keep her mouth shut if she was allowed to help cure the sickness.
After weighing her options again and again, the elf girl could only nod in the end, signifying her agreement.
“Good. So, may I come over now?”
“Hmph. Come over if you want to.”
The elf girl still seemed a bit resentful of Yier Meng’s threat, letting out a soft huff.
“Don’t be like that. We’re allies now. No matter how you look at it, I’m your comrade-in-arms.”
Having received the girl’s permission, Yier Meng walked over to her, though she didn’t forget to pick up the rod.
Her intention was to prevent them from leaving such a “filthy object” behind during their talk, as it would be troublesome if someone found it later. In the elf girl’s eyes, however, seeing her approach with the rod in her hand sparked a different idea entirely.
This person is so cruel, she thought. I’ve already agreed, yet she’s still bringing that thing over to threaten me.
But for some unknown reason, the moment she thought this, the girl suddenly felt a surge of excitement, and her legs couldn’t help but clamp together tightly.
