[Escaping Corruption: I’m Not the Dragon King’s Little Darling Wife!] – Volume 2: The Fallen Holy Flower
1. I, Reina, Have Not Fallen!
In the depths of a northern forest, on a rocky hill, a gloomy gate leading underground exuded a strange aura.
The ancient stone walls of the ruins were covered in moss, and dripping water echoed clearly in the silent environment. The ground was littered with broken rubble and weeds, making it difficult to discern its original appearance.
Deeper into the passage, in a room, stood an ancient altar covered in mysterious runes and patterns, solemn and unsettling.
Two cultists in black robes stood silently on either side of the altar, their faces hidden in the shadows of their hoods.
Their robes were embroidered with intricate patterns. The black-robed figure on the left held a staff made of black wood, its top inlaid with a crystal that emitted a faint light.
In this quiet and oppressive room, the air seemed to have solidified. Only the two cultists were conversing in low, strange tones, seemingly performing some ancient ritual.
“It’s time for this warm world to feel cruelty.”
The black-robed figure said.
“Only the shadow of God…”
The other black-robed figure replied.
“Only the shadow of God.”
……
It was early in the morning.
A clear stream meandered through the garden, the flowers and trees on both banks displaying their own unique charm. The vibrant, colorful flowers and all the other elements intertwined to form a peaceful and harmonious paradise, like an isolated utopia, tranquil and serene.
The mornings in the Dragon King’s Palace were always like this.
“Ca-ly-sia—!”
The girl’s voice echoed throughout the Dragon King’s Palace.
She was sitting in bed, her fair lower abdomen slightly swollen, which was the reason for her shouting. Most of her body was shyly hidden under the pink quilt, only a pair of pristine white legs and an azure dragon tail peeking out from the bottom. Her hands were clutching the quilt tightly, as if to prevent her last line of defense from slipping away and exposing her beautiful jade-like body. Her bluish-green eyes were filled with grievance and shame, tears welling up and dripping onto her smooth thighs.
The girl had been pregnant for a month.
Reina had some understanding of the ten-month gestation period for humans.
And no matter how she thought about it, as a member of the long-lived, even eternal, dragon race, the gestation period should be several, even dozens or hundreds of times longer. But on this cool autumn day, on the morning after a sweet night of affectionate confessions and mutual understanding, the swelling of Reina’s belly was already comparable to a three-month pregnancy.
“Haven’t I only been pregnant for… a month…?”
For a moment, Reina truly felt the illusion that “a dragon’s pregnancy can last for several years.”
But this wasn’t an illusion, it just came faster than she had imagined.
—When the fact of her “pregnancy” became clearly visible.
Now, her belly was the size of a three-month fetus, and she could even faintly feel the gentle movements within the dragon egg. Reina, as a mother, gently stroked her belly, feeling both the sense of accomplishment as a mother and the shame of losing all her dignity.
—Hehe, I’ve raised the dragon egg so well, I’m a qualified mother~
—After being knocked up and failing to resist, I’ve even raised the dragon egg this big!
These two thoughts twisted in her mind like a rope, holding her captive, a strange kind of game, making Reina brew a new emotion from the intertwining of joy and pain, just like now.
“Calysia—! Sob, sob, sob…”
Hugging her belly, Reina roared to the sky again, protesting.
She swore that if Calysia didn’t come now, she would never speak to her again!
She would sneak up on her at night and prank Calysia’s body, making her feel as embarrassed as she did.
She would play with her tail in public!
She would expose all of Calysia’s unreasonable behavior!
Not only would she reprimand her in private, pointing at her chin, but she would also make her lose face in public.
But thinking that these things were too serious, Reina choked back a sob, covered her face, and started to think of other punishments.
Yes, divorce!
Divorce, she had to divorce her, let her know what it felt like to lose her.
Let the entire dragon race see how that scumbag had abandoned her pure and kind wife.
What about taking responsibility?
Of course, all of the above psychological changes, including her shouting, all happened in Reina’s fast-paced inner world.
“Reina~”
Calysia appeared before Reina in three seconds. She rushed to the bed and gently cupped Reina’s face, as if about to kiss her. But the more intimate the action, the louder Reina cried, gradually being drowned by her own tears and subconsciously pushing Calysia away.
“Sob, sob, sob…”
The moment Reina pushed Calysia away, she only managed to push herself away. Embarrassed by her own stumble, her resentment was cleared away by Calysia’s embrace.
Calysia sat behind her vassal, her hands caressing her swollen belly, her mesmerizing eyes drifting to Reina’s jade-like neck, where she placed a light kiss.
“Don’t be afraid, little vassal, it’s still early~”
“You… you mean…”
“I still have… to go through this… for several… months?”
Reina choked back sobs.
Calysia was the biggest dummy she had ever met.
—How could she possibly watch her belly grow bigger day by day, until several months later?
I’ll definitely die, right? Can I really raise this dragon egg well?
—I don’t want to have Calysia’s offspring!!
“Ugh…”
Reina let out a soft sound as her belly was gently caressed, and Calysia’s advances now turned into those of a thief taking advantage of the situation.
But she wasn’t actually infatuated, but a Dragon King who followed the dragon race’s concept of love.
“You… you’ll take responsibility, right? You said you would take responsibility, you said…”
Reina cried, tears streaming down her face. She remembered her belly growing bigger and bigger in the future, until it was seven or eight months along, and then she would have to give birth to it. All of this made her subconsciously feel fear, and fear, brewed from negative emotions, turned into anxiety, and then anger towards Calysia.
Just then, Reina remembered the Goddess of Light, the one who had perhaps toyed with Calysia’s feelings.
“If you… don’t care about me and still go after your Goddess of Light, I… sob, sob, sob…”
“I won’t live. The dragon egg and I will die for you to see.”
“You scumbag Calysia, I don’t like you anymore…”
Calysia’s answer was simple. She cupped Reina’s delicate face and kissed her.
“I have no reason not to take responsibility for you.”
Kissed, Reina wiped her tears away.
Her question was answered affirmatively, and even the sweet words gradually calmed her emotional state. So, she began to replay the morning’s events—her shameful cries and actions, craving the Dragon King, and the tears of a fallen, soon-to-be mother.
Reina came to a conclusion:
—I, Reina, have not fallen!
—I was just seducing Calysia, to make her feel guilty about the offspring and me!
—This was all to make her more obedient to me!
Plan successful, everything is going smoothly.
