22. The Waiting Girl
A sea of people.
For a moment, she noticed that the conflicts between the Four Realms had vanished while discussing her books, and there was even a situation where a dragon and a human were arguing. The dragon girl, with her tail held high, was arguing forcefully, but there was no sign of a life-or-death struggle or a fight.
After all, these were just ordinary residents, and a group of future mothers.
“…Isn’t this a little exaggerated?!”
Originally, she had planned to just have a party in the large villa and eat some outdoor barbecue.
To liven up the atmosphere, and then announce the books that might be published next, and send them to libraries all over the world within a month.
That was the original plan.
Seeing this, Reina could only slightly change her strategy. She gave Calysia a look, and the latter, knowing her… used her [space] authority to open countless spatial gates, sending “A Dragon Mother’s Guide” and “Love and Skin” into everyone’s hands.
Only after everyone had a new book in their hands did Reina clear her throat and say:
“Thank you all for attending my event on this full moon night. I am honored…”
Calysia used an amplification spell for her, so that everyone could hear her clearly.
After hearing the first part of the speech, the crowd cheered.
But Reina knew that this was far from enough.
The reason she insisted on the fan meeting was, first, because she didn’t have much time later.
Second, because she really intended to start spreading her ideas of peace. The ultimate goal was still for the growth environment of the little dragons. If possible, she hoped to create a peace that would last for thousands, even tens of thousands of years.
What was shameful was that now, eighty percent of the content was prenatal care content for the dragon race.
“Azure~”
Reina turned her head and looked at the dragon who was on standby behind her.
“Sister Reina?”
“Go and inform Pizza’s… apprentice. It’s time to start cooking.”
“Okay!”
The fat dragon chef, Pizza.
One of the great chefs who had been valued during the Crimson Scale period. He had once worked for Liya and Crimson Scale, and had also provided a few meals for Calysia, but it was said that the latter had never eaten them.
Because of Crimson Scale’s death, he not only went into hiding for a long time, but even “lost weight,” becoming a slender chef.
And his greatest contribution was that he had recently taken on an apprentice.
—Fire Dragon.
“You say to feed these outsiders? Of course, no problem!”
The dragon, having received Reina’s order, said with a smile, “Let this beautiful girl chef prepare the barbecue for the mothers!”
Saying that, she raised her hand, and several barbecue grills in the crowd lit up with warm flames. A few dragons, carrying wagons, landed on the ground. That was Reina’s timely adjustment, with various meats and utensils that could feed everyone.
After setting up long tables and chairs on the open field, it became lively.
A cart of barbecue was skillfully cooked by the dragon chefs. Although the outdoor barbecue was a bit vulgar, they were enjoying the cooking treatment of a top-tier restaurant chef.
However, thinking of the money to dispatch them, which came from her own treasury, Reina felt a little heartache.
“Barbecue?!”
Celes’s eyes widened, looking at the fragrant white smoke rising from the field.
“Eating meat is a dragon’s custom. Celes, you’ll like it too.”
“Mmph…”
She gently touched Reina’s ear, and the latter, understanding, picked her up from her head and placed her on her chest… She wanted to drink milk.
Calysia supported the two and walked to a small room in the villa.
Half an hour later, after Celes had fallen asleep in satisfaction, the two returned to the balcony. Seeing that the atmosphere of the gathering had basically been stirred up, Reina intended to say something more.
But instead of standing on high, Reina had an idea.
“Little Cal, help me downstairs.”
“Aren’t you going to make it clear up here?”
“I’m not some god.”
Reina smiled.
After going downstairs and just opening the door, she unexpectedly found that the first floor was crowded with dragons.
—The Twelve Great Dragons.
To be precise, all the mother dragons among the Twelve Great Dragons.
Most of them had been influenced by Reina’s books and had thus become admirers of the Dragon Queen. One of them was the Green Dragon who had had a conflict with Liya before, and had had a serious conversation with Reina. And now her face was full of shame and warmth.
“Lady Dragon Queen, I want to ask you some questions.”
“May I have your guidance? I’m also a little hesitant…”
“I really like the concept explanation with a heartwarming little story.”
“Her and Her Highness the Princess? As expected, just as I imagined, the Dragon Queen is already a mature mother.”
“What a cute little princess. I also want my daughter to be this cute…”
In short, it was to solve the various problems of these dragon guardians.
“Alright, alright, one at a time. I’ll solve them as soon as possible.”
Compared to the fans of other races, the dragon race was clearly more practical. They had all been more or less influenced by Reina’s prenatal care books, and it had even started a trend. Reina discovered that the Green Dragon was even pregnant.
If this continued, the dragon school in a few decades would probably be much more lively.
What was interesting was that it seemed no one could wake up Celes. She was sleeping very soundly.
Just in case, Calysia still used magic to eliminate the sound around her ears.
She was protected in Reina’s chest, and now she was simply lying on Reina’s shoulder, sleeping with a purr.
Reina was a little confused.
Why were there dragons who weren’t interested in barbecue and gold coins?
Opening the door, she was also greeted by a group of dragon fans outside. Compared to those beautiful Twelve Great Dragons, their appearance was slightly ordinary, but everyone had a pair of gentle eyes. Many of them didn’t ask for anything, or anything difficult to understand. Most of them were satisfied with just a greeting from Reina, or a commemorative signature.
“Lady Dragon Queen, you are truly one of the greatest beings we have had in so many years. As expected of the woman chosen by the Dragon King.”
“Hahaha…”
Calysia was quite happy after being praised.
Liya and White Miry also greeted her, but many things had already been said at the banquet. The two of them were immersed in their own world of love. Reina even saw White Miry holding a leash… connected to the collar on Liya’s neck.
—Master Little Cal, what on earth did you teach her?!
Next was to face the members of the other races.
The dragon mothers were ultimately the majority, so when she left the crowd, Reina thought her workload would be a little less. But it wasn’t until the blood race and the dark elves surrounded her that she discovered that it wasn’t as simple as she had imagined.
But seeing the sleeping Celes, they, like the other dragons, would lower their voices and remain quiet.
Just as she was surrounded by the crowd, Reina accidentally discovered that fifty meters away, a young woman holding a sword was looking at her with incredulous eyes.
Her eyes were filled with disbelief, confusion, and self-doubt.
—It was Pesa.
