Chapter 113: The Last Three Surviving Women
“Be careful,” Sun Ting warned. “This is a hotel, after all. There could be people hiding behind any of these doors.”
The other three nodded. As the main doors opened, a bone-chilling wind blew in, but the four women felt it was a little better than before, not quite as cold.
Li Linger, in particular, felt a little warm.
Sun Ting approached a corpse while the other three stood guard.
“Judging by the looks of it, this person has been dead for a long time,” Sun Ting observed. She couldn’t tell exactly how long, but it was at least twenty days.
“I feel like everyone here is dead,” Xi Meng said in a low voice. The place was empty, without a single sound.
An Bai was excited. It felt like playing Resident Evil. You never knew where a zombie might pop out from. When are the zombies coming? I really want to experience the official version of Resident Evil.
Li Linger asked curiously, “How did they all die?”
“They killed each other,” Sun Ting said flatly.
The four women began to search the lobby, then moved to the second floor. There were plenty of bodies there too, especially in the ballroom, where they were piled high. If not for the cold weather, the stench would have been overwhelming.
“It seems the battle for the hotel wasn’t easy. I wonder who came out on top in the end,” Xi Meng said, scanning their surroundings. She was starting to get a general picture. Whether it was a residential complex, a hotel, or somewhere else, in the end, one person would always emerge as the king.
“Keep searching upwards,” Sun Ting said simply. As the leader among the “kittens,” her words carried weight, and the other women were very obedient to her.
They felt that while Tang Ze seemed to like the big star Li Linger on the surface, deep down, he valued Sun Ting more.
The third-floor restaurant had been the scene of a brutal battle. The walls were splattered with dried blood, and severed limbs were scattered everywhere. The floor was stained crimson. Seeing such a minor scene, the four women felt nothing as they walked through the gaps between the corpses.
When they reached the kitchen, all four of them furrowed their elegant brows. Although they had seen far worse, this “minor scene” was enough to turn one’s stomach.
Things hadn’t even progressed this far back at the complex. At least there, the bad guys would go out to find supplies and use them to rule over the residents. But the people who could afford to stay in a five-star hotel, if not fabulously wealthy, were at least well-off. When these people ran out of food, they started killing.
“Let’s go. This place is disgusting,” Xi Meng said. She felt that what she had done before was nothing. This kitchen had truly redefined her understanding of depravity.
The upper floors were mostly guest rooms. The corridors were heavily stained with blood, and the room doors were all open, the interiors in disarray.
But in one open room, they found it was neat and tidy. Two people lay on the bed. A closer look revealed an elderly couple, nestled together as if peacefully asleep.
Seeing this, a flicker of change appeared in the women’s eyes. Perhaps this was a glimmer of warmth in the midst of the apocalypse.
As they left, Sun Ting closed the door behind them. The four continued their search upwards. The situation was much the same everywhere: not a single living person.
When they reached the more high-end suites, the number of bodies increased. In one suite, there were at least twenty corpses, both men and women. Their skin was cracked and dry. Some of the women had had their main arteries slit, and there were bite marks on the bodies where flesh had been torn away.
“They must have been desperate with thirst. The men started drinking the women’s blood, and in the end, the men started killing each other. This man sitting on the sofa must have been the final victor.”
Sun Ting stood beside the sofa. A man in his thirties, dressed in a suit, looked very formal, as if he had been about to go somewhere.
It was hard to imagine the horrifying events that had transpired in this room. But these people deserved no pity. Anyone who could live here held a high status at the time. The people downstairs were likely killed by them.
In the end, with no one left to kill, the butcher’s knife turned on those closest to them.
The top floor. This was the most luxurious suite in the hotel.
Li Linger and Xi Meng had both stayed here before. Even Ye Qingyi had stayed here once.
But now, the door to this suite was closed.
The four women raised their guns simultaneously. Sun Ting gestured with her hands, looking very professional.
With a loud bang, Sun Ting kicked the double doors open. The three women beside her immediately entered with their guns raised, aiming in different directions.
To their surprise, the room was remarkably clean. No blood, no corpses.
This was unusual. Logically, this should have been where the hotel’s leader lived.
When they pushed open the master bedroom door, the four women instantly raised their muzzles, the lights on their guns illuminating the dark room.
They saw three women huddled in blankets, sitting on the carpet, gnawing on human arms. Their mouths were smeared with blood. On the bed lay the corpse of a young man, probably only in his early twenties.
The three women looked over, their eyes vacant. They had likely suffered a complete mental breakdown. Two of them were even giggling foolishly, but judging by their condition, they didn’t have long to live.
“Bai, Linger, go check the other rooms,” Sun Ting commanded.
The two of them immediately went to check the other rooms but found nothing. These three were the only ones left in the entire hotel.
Tang Ze’s voice came through their earpieces. They told him their location, and soon, Tang Ze sauntered over.
Seeing Tang Ze arrive alone, the four women’s hearts sank slightly. Could it be that Ye Qingyi is gone?
“What’s with that look? She’s resting in the RV. In her own words, she’s about to ‘come to death.'”
The four women: “…”
Li Linger was now in a position to comment. When the Master got stronger, it was indeed very pleasurable for the women. And it was different from before, a pleasure that came from the depths of their souls.
“Find anything?” Tang Ze asked, looking around. He had long heard that Yunhai’s Winston Hotel was luxurious and had even wanted to save up to enjoy it himself. As it turned out, he hadn’t saved enough and had arrived in this manner instead.
Sun Ting pointed to the master bedroom. “Only these three are still alive.”
Tang Ze walked into the master bedroom. There were many empty bottles, plastic containers, and so on beside the bed.
“Looks like this was the last man in the hotel. A pity he was taken out by his women.”
Tang Ze examined the man on the bed. The back of his head had been smashed in.
Under what circumstances would something like this happen? Tang Ze guessed the man had been in the middle of some “exercise” when the woman next to him grabbed something and bashed him on the back of the head.
“So, you see, without some real strength, you’ll sooner or later be taken out by the women around you,” Tang Ze said, lighting a cigarette. He pulled open the curtains, opened the window, and tossed the man’s body out.
His words once again unsettled the hearts of the four women.
The bright light from outside streamed into the room, and the bone-chilling wind stung their faces. The three women on the floor immediately started shivering.
Sun Ting walked over and used her gun barrel to lift one of the women’s chins. “She does have some looks.”
“If she didn’t have looks, how could she be with the boss of this place?”
Tang Ze only glanced at them, uninterested. He still had three disobedient new products on the RV and had no plans to take on any more for now.
Li Linger suddenly let out a soft “huh.” “I think she’s Dong Manying.”
“The one who’s a really good singer? I didn’t recognize her at all,” Xi Meng said, taking a closer look. Wasted away like this, she looked like a completely different person.
“I worked with her once. She was a pretty nice person,” Li Linger remarked with a sigh.
“I think these two are celebrities as well,” An Bai said, crouching down in front of the women to examine them more closely.
Tang Ze said flatly, “Kill them, throw them out, and clean this place up.”
With that, he walked out of the bedroom.
