Chapter 3: Packaged and Sent to the Widow’s House!
Shelley silently looked at this novel system, swinging his iron sword as he fell into thought:
“But to be honest, the rewards seem pretty good!”
“Just for a kiss last night, I got a level 0 cantrip.”
[Mage Hand: Use telekinesis to move an object weighing up to 5 pounds.]
Shelley tested this newly acquired Mage Hand, retrieving an arrow from the quiver beside him.
“There’s no sense of unfamiliarity at all; it feels as if I’ve always known how to do it.”
Mystery—that was Shelley’s feeling towards the System.
It seemed omnipotent. It could change his alignment in the eyes of others; even veteran Paladins couldn’t discover Shelley’s bloodline.
“Is it because Professionals among the noble women of the Kingdom of Fente are too rare? Or do they disdain meeting me?”
Shelley, engrossed in his thoughts, didn’t notice that since he entered the training room this morning, a faint scent had filled the air.
“If it’s not about Professionals, but rather that the mana of demi-humans and non-human races is what suits me…”
“Isn’t this forcing me onto a path of searching everywhere for monster girls?”
“This is really…”
“…What?”
Shelley’s consciousness suddenly felt heavy and groggy. The iron sword in his hand flew straight out, smashing into the weapon rack in front of him.
Suddenly losing his balance, he could no longer support himself. He fell backward, hitting the ground heavily.
In the last moments of his consciousness, he saw a pair of luxurious men’s boots appear before his eyes.
They were Congreve’s favorite boots for outside meetings.
“…Did you fucking have to do this?”
“I already said I agreed to your terms…”
Realizing the situation wasn’t that dire, Shelley breathed a sigh of relief in his heart and passed out completely.
**
Congreve looked impatiently at the rogue beside him. He wanted to shout in anger, but the reserve of a high noble restrained him. He simply asked indifferently:
“Didn’t you say you could control him quickly?”
The rogue, who looked shifty-eyed and rat-like, had a conflicted expression, suffering in silence.
That was a sleeping drug meant for high-level Professionals! He actually held out for nearly two hours!
What kind of monster is this! Are all Paladins like this?
As a rat in the shadows, he usually didn’t dare appear in front of Paladins, so he wasn’t sure.
“Perhaps because this Lord has special innate resistance, so…”
“Enough, no need to explain. Take your money and leave immediately. You are not allowed to speak of anything that happened today!”
“Yes, yes, this lowly one is leaving!”
Turner didn’t care at all about Congreve’s scolding. He picked up the coin purse, turned around, and left without even looking at the handsome Paladin.
“Nobles will be nobles, they really know how to play! The money is quite good too.”
Weighing the purse in his hand and hearing the crisp sound of gold coins inside, he turned into a corner and disappeared before the guards arrived.
**
A butler appeared behind Congreve and reported respectfully:
“My Lord, that Turner got away.”
Congreve nodded and said in a deep voice:
“It doesn’t matter. Rats have their uses; we can contact him again later.”
“Now, quickly find someone to clean him up, change his clothes, and send him to that Lord’s room immediately!”
“At your service!”
**
Shelley woke from his slumber. Maintaining a steady breathing rhythm, he quietly squinted his eyes to survey his surroundings.
“This is…”
The decorations were even more luxurious than the Duke’s mansion. Every piece of art in the room had its own unique charm, and the dim lighting brought a hint of ambiguity.
“Congreve, that idiot!!!”
“You’re awake? Little princess?”
Just as Shelley was complaining silently, a gentle voice seemed to sound softly in his ear.
“Although your awareness is good and your breathing isn’t disordered, your heartbeat has changed.”
“Do you want to keep pretending?”
Knowing he had been discovered, Shelley didn’t persist. He slowly opened his eyes, sat up from the large bed, and turned to look at the owner of the voice.
It was a beautiful woman wearing a veil. She was lying on a huge chaise lounge covered in furs, her back leaning against soft pillows, flipping through a thick book in her hand.
She wore a black silk nightgown, slightly open at the chest but not revealing the fair scenery within. Her long legs were clad in smooth white silk stockings.
A very beautiful woman, full of alluring mature charm. Although her eyes above the veil were not looking at Shelley, he could still feel a soul-stealing temptation.
He hadn’t figured out the situation yet, but his lifelong education allowed him to remain calm and maintain his grace as he bowed to the beautiful lady before him.
“Good evening, noble Madam.”
[You were abducted to her room. She is puzzled by your appearance, but her confidence in her strength makes her fearless.]
[Ta-da! Legendary Mission Triggered!]
[Legendary Mission Unlocked: Nadia]
[Initial Mission: Satisfy Nadia’s Curiosity]
[Stage Mission Reward: Sorcerer-related skills]
[Nadia:]
[Mood: Relaxed]
[Attitude: She is curious about your appearance, which is superior to that of elves.]
[Conquest Progress: 0%]
“You’re kidding… Legendary…”
Legendary powerhouses—beings that even the gods would not take lightly. They were the limit that mortals could reach.
Shelley couldn’t hide the shock in his heart. Suppressing his trembling, he lowered his head.
“You seem somewhat afraid of me? That is truly strange.”
Nadia looked at Shelley’s reaction with curiosity, chuckled lightly, put down her book, and walked to the bedside.
She reached out with her right hand to lift Shelley’s chin, admiring his face.
“Your looks are truly beautiful. I thought you were a lost young lady.”
“I didn’t expect you to be a gentleman.”
“So now, do you have anything you want to say in your defense?”
Shelley had adjusted his mindset in this time, adopting the attitude he usually used to deal with noble ladies.
He didn’t break free from her palm, simply looking into her eyes, which were not covered by the veil.
Eyes like autumn water, yet holding little tenderness, carrying the calmness and sediment of time.
“Truly beautiful eyes, Madam.”
“I have nothing to say in my defense. Isn’t my presence here the best explanation already?”
He lowered his head to kiss those slightly cold fingers, then watched them retract rapidly, laughing silently in his heart.
Madam? It should be Miss.
Gently lifting the quilt, Shelley got up, walked in front of her, knelt on one knee, reached out to hold that somewhat bewildered small hand, and gently kissed the back of it.
“I am a gift to you.”
“You may do with me as you please.”
Nadia was very confused right now, confused in every sense!
Originally, the appearance of a beautiful man in her room was already puzzling enough. Was he lost?
Or was this a custom of this human country?
But unexpectedly, after waking up, he seemed to recognize her identity and lowered his head in fear.
This brought back a familiar feeling. Yes, it was always this gaze of fear, just like usual.
Who knew he would quickly turn the tables and actually kiss her fingers!
And say she could do with his body as she pleased?
Conflicting emotions filled her heart. Nadia disliked this feeling very much; it reminded her of her powerless self from two hundred years ago.
She felt somewhat angry, yet her tone remained extremely flat:
“Is that so? I can do as I please?”
She withdrew her slender hand from his palm, looking down at this man who resembled a High Elf more than a human.
“Then stay kneeling.”
Not even wanting to know his name, Nadia walked past Shelley straight to the bed and used a cantrip to turn off the lights in the room.
However, after lying down, she regretted it, because this bed had just been occupied by that man!
Smelling the sheets tainted by his scent, Nadia’s mind began to spin. What is this smell?
Why does it smell so good?
In the room, only the sound of their silent breathing could be heard, but one of them gradually quickened. In the dark room, the atmosphere began to change.
Something’s wrong! There is definitely a problem with this scent! This man wants to harm me!
Shelley also felt something was wrong. Is there a problem somewhere? My invincible honey trap actually failed?
Maybe Legendary powerhouses have stronger resistance to seduction?
Before he could figure it out, he heard an angry shout from the bed behind him:
“You actually drugged me!?”
“Huh? My Lady! No, listen to my explanation!” Shocked, Shelley quickly turned back to look at the beautiful lady, only to meet a pair of angry purple eyes.
“Explain yourself clearly!”
“Charm Person!”
[Oh ho? You actually want to charm a succubus?]
[No can do!]
“Mmph! Ah~”
Nadia hadn’t expected a spell counter. She let out a cry, looking incredulously at the man in front of her who was desperate to explain.
“Impossible! Something must have gone wrong!”
“Wild Charm!”
“My Lady! You can’t!”
[Not completely immune?]
[But! Succubi have tempers too!]
[Wild Charm!]
“Ah!”
Immediately after, Shelley felt a burning heat all over his body and found himself bound by invisible mana.
The next second, he was forcefully pulled onto the bed, feeling himself collide with a scorching body.
Both of their consciousnesses were gradually fading as they struggled to open their eyes to look at each other.
Summoning her remaining strength at the last moment, Nadia asked in a low voice:
“Name… your name!”
She didn’t want to be in this moment without even knowing this man’s name.
“Shelley… Shelley Bell. And you?”
“Na… Nadia. Mmph!”
Unable to control himself, Shelley gently kissed Nadia’s lips. Just as he wanted to proceed to the next step, he was flipped over and pinned onto the bed.

“Shut up!”
In the morning, Shelley held the woman in his arms, gently stroking her slightly pointed ears.
Both were awake, or rather…
Neither had slept.
In the finally quiet room, only the sound of their steady breathing remained, along with an air of lingering heat.
“You… Shelley, who exactly are you?”
Nadia lay in his arms, blushing as she recalled the absurd night, unsure of what to say.
“I…”
“Simply put, I am a half-incubus.”
Turning her head in shock, she saw Shelley’s gentle eyes. Nadia blushed, turned back around, and continued asking:
“Incubus? But I didn’t sense any evil from you?”
“Mm, I am a Paladin apprentice. I have sworn to fight against evil.”
Huh? Incubus? Paladin?
Is there something wrong with the world???
[You barely resolved her doubts]

[New Mission Unlocked: Nadia’s Affection]
Although full of confusion, this time she didn’t turn back, instead tightening the quilt around herself.
“And what about you? Nadia, my brother said you are a high-ranking… widow?”
Liar! She can only be a widow if I die right now!
“Hehe, just a method to reduce trouble.”
Sensing the confusion in Shelley’s voice, Nadia chuckled lightly and shook her head. Finding a comfortable position, she said:
“Who am I?”
“I am the Dragon Slayer, the Protector of the Lanto Plains, the Master of Yani Castle.”
“The Half-Elf Queen, Nadia Meili.”
