Chapter 37: Dating

“What happened?” Bei Queting asked hesitantly. She had just gone to buy something. How could so much have happened in between?
He Jingsu sobbed as she told Bei Queting what had happened.
It turned out that while He Jingsu was in line to buy tickets, a man who seemed to have disabled legs, lying on a small cart and pushing himself with his hands, went around asking people for money. He held a QR code and, when he got close to He Jingsu, he gestured to his current state, then made a couple of “ah, ah” sounds to show that he couldn’t speak, his hands clasped together in a pleading look.
