Panda Cub, So Cute and Fierce 4

Chapter 4: Possession

====================

The panda cub in her arms was soft and fluffy, her hands sinking into it as if into a ball of cotton. Bei Queting held the cub up to face her, a small smile playing on her lips. “Why did you come over in your true form?” she whispered.

She had thought Daidai would come in her human form.

He Jingsu flapped her two short, chubby paws and whispered back, “It’s more comfortable to sleep in my true form!”

Bei Queting looked at the cub before her and felt an even stronger urge to smile. She gathered her into her arms, rubbing the tuft of fur on her head and stroking the small wings on her back. “Daidai, you’re so good,” she murmured.

It was never He Jingsu who couldn’t be without her; it was she who couldn’t be without He Jingsu.

She was the one who chose to study science, which led to them being in different classes, yet it was He Jingsu who always came to accommodate her.

However, He Jingsu didn’t understand why she was suddenly saying such things. She lifted her little head and nuzzled her chin. “Beibei is the best!”

Bei Queting buried her face in the panda cub’s fur, feeling the soft fluff envelop her. A sudden sense of peace washed over her. Inhaling the faint, milky scent of green bamboo, Bei Queting felt that perhaps she was being too greedy when it came to He Jingsu.

She always wanted her to be good only to her.

With the air of a wise old bear, He Jingsu wrapped her two paws around her head and patted it soothingly.

Bei Queting let out a muffled laugh, lifted her head, and hugged He Jingsu tighter. “Let’s sleep,” she murmured.

“Mhm, mhm!” He Jingsu let out a tiny yawn. It seemed the sleepiness from the morning had returned. Her eyelids were so heavy she could barely keep them open. She rested her head in the crook of Bei Queting’s neck and fell asleep.

The girl and the cub snuggled together, a thin blanket covering them. In the dimness under the bed curtain, it was quiet, yet filled with a comforting warmth.

When the school bell rang, He Jingsu instinctively buried her head deeper, whining, not wanting to get up.

Bei Queting, having lived with her for so many years, was used to this. She sat up, holding the panda cub in her arms, and placed her on the blanket so she was sitting in a little ball. Then, she began to rub her bear face with both hands. “Daidai, wake up,” she said, a hint of a smile in her voice.

“Mmm, Beibei~” He Jingsu managed to pry her eyes open, only to squeeze them shut again and flop to the side, trying to go back to sleep.

Seeing this, Bei Queting started pinching her two little ears. “If you don’t get up now, you’ll be late,” she said, still pinching.

The tuft of fur on her head twitched. She smacked her lips, not quite hearing what was said. The next second, the little ears in her hands vanished, and along with them, the black-and-white panda cub on the blanket.

Bei Queting chuckled softly, removed the soundproofing barrier she had set up, and got out of bed to get ready for class.

Meanwhile, He Jingsu, back in her own dorm, lazily climbed out of bed to see Qiu Si already dressed and waiting for her.

Qiu Si wasn’t surprised by He Jingsu’s appearance and nudged her toward the bathroom.

While He Jingsu was still washing her face, Bei Queting was already waiting at their dorm room door, holding two small apples.

The three of them walked to the academic building together. He Jingsu, unconcerned about the time, started eating her apple. The sweet and sour taste was a jolt to her system, finally waking her from her drowsiness.

Qiu Si also had a small apple, but she didn’t feel as sleepy as He Jingsu, so she decided to wait.

Bei Queting and He Jingsu parted ways at the third-floor stairwell. He Jingsu and Qiu Si followed the flow of students back to their classroom. With some time before the teacher arrived, Qiu Si finally started eating her apple while taking out her textbooks for the next class.

Just as He Jingsu sat down, her shoulder was tapped.

She turned to see a very pretty girl. The girl held out a pink envelope to He Jingsu, her cheeks flushed. “Could you please help me give this letter to Bei Queting?” she asked in a small voice.

He Jingsu’s already dazed expression became even more so. She widened her eyes, looking from the girl to the letter, and asked in a puzzled tone, “Is this a love letter?”

It really looked like one! It was even pink!

Qiu Si, who was eating her apple, froze for a second, a look of bewilderment on her face. Isn’t it obvious that it’s a love letter? Why does she even need to ask?

The girl seemed to grow even shier at the question. Meeting He Jingsu’s clear, innocent eyes, she bit her lip and finally nodded.

He Jingsu’s brow furrowed. “Giving her a love letter is useless,” she said seriously. “She doesn’t know you, she doesn’t even know what you look like. She won’t like you!”

After saying that, she seemed to remember something and added, “We’re still young. We can’t be in a relationship!”

She had seen many couples get caught and have their parents called. Although He Jingsu wasn’t afraid of her parents being called, she felt that having them called because of a relationship was a bit strange.

The girl was speechless.

“If you don’t want to help, just say so! Why do you have to be so mean!”

He Jingsu’s confusion deepened. Was what I said mean? I was just telling the truth! She felt wronged.

Beibei really wouldn’t like her!

Qiu Si, having finished her apple, turned He Jingsu back around and patted her shoulder with the air of an elder. “You’re right! The most important thing for us right now is to study!”

Having been affirmed by her aunt, He Jingsu felt happy again. She wasn’t wrong!

Neither He Jingsu nor Qiu Si had joined the student council, so they were less busy than Bei Queting. In the evening, the student council members gathered to discuss the content of next week’s event.

Since the planning had been entrusted to Bei Queting, she naturally wanted to do a good job. When other members suggested sticking to the previous years’ activities, like visiting the city library, she immediately vetoed the idea. Such activities had lost their novelty and failed to arouse the students’ enthusiasm.

He Jingsu sat to the side, waiting. She had originally been uninterested in their discussion, but thinking that this was an event Bei Queting was in charge of, she also began to seriously consider what kind of activity could spark the students’ interest.

After a long discussion with no results, Bei Queting saw that it was getting late and told them to go eat first.

After everyone else had left, only the two of them remained in the multimedia classroom. He Jingsu looked at Bei Queting and asked, “Beibei, is there still enough time?”

If they followed the old format, it could be arranged quickly. But if Bei Queting wanted to try something new, He Jingsu was worried there wouldn’t be enough time.

“It’s fine,” Bei Queting said, sitting beside her with a gentle smile. “I actually have an idea, but I’m not sure if it’s feasible.”

“Oh? What is it?” He Jingsu’s eyes lit up.

Bei Queting looked at her and said softly, “A letter for you.”

“Huh?” He Jingsu was stunned for a moment, then understood. “You want every student to write a letter?”

“Mhm.” Bei Queting nodded. It would allow everyone to participate and avoid the formulaic nature of previous years.

“But what would the letters be about?” He Jingsu frowned, thinking.

“They can write about anything,” Bei Queting said, smoothing her furrowed brow with her thumb. “It could be their most memorable experience, or a strange encounter they’ve had.”

He Jingsu’s eyes brightened, but soon her brow furrowed again. Recalling the girl who had asked her to deliver a love letter that afternoon, she said hesitantly, “But wouldn’t that make it convenient for people who want to confess?”

What if they took this opportunity to write a bunch of confession letters?

Bei Queting rubbed her brow, the skin beneath her thumb smooth and tender. For a moment, she was reminded of her true form and suddenly had a strong urge to hold her as a cub.

“After the students write their letters, the envelopes will be randomly distributed back to them. Then, the school’s broadcasting room will accept submissions from students. If they think someone’s story is worth sharing, they can submit it.”

“And of course,” Bei Queting’s voice was soft, “as for the love letters you mentioned, the students in the broadcasting room will screen them properly.” She had naturally considered that possibility.

“That sounds like fun,” He Jingsu’s eyes lit up. She hoped she would get to draw Bei Queting’s letter!

Seeing He Jingsu’s interest, Bei Queting felt encouraged. She decided she could formally propose this activity to the other student council members.

“Are you hungry? Let’s go eat.” With the matter settled, Bei Queting didn’t want He Jingsu to go hungry waiting for her.

He Jingsu took Bei Queting’s hand, her eyes sparkling. “Let’s go home for dinner!”

She really didn’t want to eat the cafeteria food!

Seeing her like this, Bei Queting paused for a moment, then said, “We didn’t tell Aunt He we were coming back. There might not be any food for us.”

And at this hour, they had probably already finished eating.

He Jingsu’s eyebrows drooped. She rested her head on Bei Queting’s collarbone. “Beibei, the cafeteria food is so bad. I want to eat Mom’s cooking.”

Hearing He Jingsu’s dejected tone, Bei Queting’s heart softened. She stroked her head. “How about we go back tomorrow? We can call Aunt He and the others beforehand.”

At this, He Jingsu’s spirits lifted. She looked up at Bei Queting and nodded repeatedly.

Bei Queting couldn’t resist placing her hand on her cheek, the soft baby fat incredibly satisfying to pinch.

“Mmm, Beibei?” He Jingsu looked at her, confused.

“It’s nothing. Let’s go to the cafeteria,” Bei Queting said, clearing her throat and withdrawing her hand, a sense of panic in her heart.

Why… why did that desire to possess her surface again?

He Jingsu watched the people fawning over the little fluffy bird and felt an instinctual displeasure.

The little fluffy bird was clearly hers. What right did they have to covet her little bird?

She could treat the little bird better than any of them!

As a Northern Long-tailed Tit, Bei Queting was supposed to huddle with other tits for warmth, but she was ostracized. She learned to be cautious from a young age. After being driven out of her flock’s territory, she met a very cute girl.

The girl’s true form was a panda cub with a pair of wings. She was incredibly good to her, letting her run wild.

And she meant that literally—running wild on top of her head.

As Bei Queting nestled on the panda’s head, she thought, I want to be with He Jingsu forever.

Coincidentally, that was exactly what He Jingsu was thinking, too.

A naturally dazed, doting panda with a strong desire to pamper her wife (Gong/Top) x A little fluffy bird who is soft on the outside, strong on the inside, and incredibly possessive (Shou/Bottom).

A sweet, heartwarming story about the daily lives of childhood sweethearts.
