Chapter 37 p2: The Cannon Fodder A Who Has a Crush on the Female Lead O (34)
When Chi Jingyan woke up the next day, it was already 10:30 in the morning.
She was so tired, as if she had run a full marathon. Her limbs were so sore they almost didn’t feel like her own.
The gland on the back of her neck was hot and itchy. Chi Jingyan reached out to touch it, and it seemed to be a little swollen.
It was all Jiang Mengyu’s fault for biting so hard last night.
By the way, where was Jiang Mengyu?
Chi Jingyan suddenly woke up and found that Jiang Mengyu was no longer in the room.
She left?!
Chi Jingyan was stunned for a long while before she suddenly shivered. She saw the walkie-talkie at the foot of the bed, picked it up, and shouted at Zhou Heng on the other side in a hoarse voice, “Where is Jiang Mengyu?”
Zhou Heng: “…Downstairs.”
Chi Jingyan gritted her teeth. “Now, immediately, right now! Bring her up to me!”
Her voice was so loud that it was accurately transmitted to Jiang Mengyu’s ears through the walkie-talkie.
Zhou Heng looked at the girl standing in front of him and couldn’t help but take a deep breath.
Jiang Mengyu was not affected by Chi Jingyan’s anger at all. Her face was calm, and her tone was also flat. “Have Secretary Zhao bring someone over now. She needs a detailed examination.”
Zhou Heng nodded. “I understand.”
After Jiang Mengyu finished speaking, she picked up the honey water she had just mixed and turned to go upstairs again. Her figure quickly disappeared from Zhou Heng’s sight.
Zhou Heng’s expression was complicated. He didn’t know whether he should stop her or not. He always felt that the Young Miss was no match for Jiang Mengyu at all.
Just now, the Young Miss was so panicked just because she couldn’t see her when she woke up. But Jiang Mengyu was still calm and composed. The two of them were not on an equal footing at all.
But Chi Jingyan was very protective of her, repeatedly telling them not to really hurt Jiang Mengyu.
Zhou Heng didn’t know what to do.
He could only silently pray in his heart.
I hope Jiang Mengyu really likes the Young Miss.
When Jiang Mengyu returned to the room, Chi Jingyan was sitting on the floor. Her upper body was slumped over the foot of the bed, her face buried in her arms, so it was not clear.
Hearing the sound, Chi Jingyan suddenly raised her head. Jiang Mengyu saw that her face was full of tears, and her eyes were soaked with water, looking exceptionally pitiful.
Before Jiang Mengyu could put down the honey water in her hand, she was bumped by the reacting Chi Jingyan and took two steps back. Some of the water in her hand spilled, wetting Jiang Mengyu’s wrist.
However, at this moment, no one had the time to care about this glass of honey water.
Chi Jingyan looked at Jiang Mengyu with red eyes for two seconds, then, without giving her a chance to speak, she reached out and pressed the back of Jiang Mengyu’s neck, raising her head and kissing her.
It was more of a gnawing than a kiss.
Jiang Mengyu held Chi Jingyan’s waist with one hand and the water glass with the other. She had no free hand to stop Chi Jingyan, so she simply let her bite her lips.
Fortunately, this kiss did not last long.
The familiar jasmine scent did a good job of alleviating the anxiety in Chi Jingyan’s heart, and also gave her a hint of clarity in her panicked and frightened mind.
Seeing that Chi Jingyan had stopped, Jiang Mengyu finally asked softly, “Are you sober now?”
Chi Jingyan didn’t speak, just stared at her.
Jiang Mengyu let go of her hand. She walked around the foot of the bed, placed the water glass on the bedside table, and when she turned back, Chi Jingyan had somehow fallen to the floor again.
Fortunately, the room was covered with a thick carpet, so it wasn’t very cold.
Chi Jingyan bit her lip and looked at Jiang Mengyu. She propped herself up, wanting to stand up, but her legs were too weak to use any strength.
Chi Jingyan lowered her head, as if she were about to try again, but a shadow suddenly fell in front of her. Her lower back and the bend of her knees were held steadily. The momentary feeling of being suspended made Chi Jingyan subconsciously hug Jiang Mengyu’s shoulders tightly.
She looked at the familiar face that was close at hand, her eye sockets extremely red. “Didn’t you leave?”
“Didn’t you have Zhou Heng bring me up?” Jiang Mengyu retorted.
As she spoke, she picked up Chi Jingyan and placed her on the bed.
But Chi Jingyan hooked her arm around her neck and refused to let go. “What about Zhou Heng?”
She had asked Zhou Heng to bring Jiang Mengyu up, but she hadn’t seen him just now. Did this mean that Jiang Mengyu had come back voluntarily?
Chi Jingyan’s gaze was sticky and wet. She stared at Jiang Mengyu without blinking, her voice still carrying a crying tone. “You didn’t want to leave at all, right?”
That bastard Jiang Mengyu, she was scaring her again!
Jiang Mengyu did not answer her. She frowned and pulled Chi Jingyan’s hand away, then picked up the honey water on the bedside table and handed it to her, saying concisely, “Drink.”
But Chi Jingyan leaned over again. She hooked the corner of Jiang Mengyu’s clothes, her voice hoarse. “My hand is so weak, I can’t use any strength.”
The probing in her eyes was so obvious.
Jiang Mengyu didn’t move for a long while. Just as Chi Jingyan was gradually getting disappointed, Jiang Mengyu finally silently brought the water glass to her lips.
Her eyelids were half-lowered. Although the expression on her face was faint, the movement of her hand was very careful.
The large stone in Chi Jingyan’s heart finally fell.
She obediently drank half a glass of honey water, then turned her head away. “I can’t drink anymore.”
Jiang Mengyu put down the water glass. She sat on the edge of the bed and said nothing. Just as Chi Jingyan reached out to hug her, Jiang Mengyu tilted her head and dodged.
Chi Jingyan paused, then changed her strategy. “Jiang Mengyu, my leg hurts a lot.”
Her tone was half-complaining, half-ashamed, and also mixed with an indistinct coquettishness.
Jiang Mengyu lowered her eyes and glanced at the two long legs exposed outside. After a few hours of rest, there were still specks of red marks on them, which had been bitten out by Jiang Mengyu when she had lost control.
Seeing that she was not speaking, Chi Jingyan pursed her lips and emphasized, “It really hurts.”
Jiang Mengyu glanced at her. “Whose fault is it?”
Chi Jingyan was immediately speechless. After a long while, she said in a small voice, “You can also ignore me.”
When she was sober, she was still no match for Jiang Mengyu. Chi Jingyan didn’t believe that Jiang Mengyu really couldn’t do anything about her last night. She had clearly softened her heart. Why wouldn’t she admit it?
“Jiang Mengyu,” Chi Jingyan asked tentatively, “what is our relationship now?”
“What do you think?” Jiang Mengyu retorted.
Chi Jingyan’s heart beat a little faster. “We…”
Last night, Jiang Mengyu had said that she was an unrelated person.
But would she do such an intimate thing with an unrelated person?
Her body was still covered with the proof of Jiang Mengyu’s passion. The jasmine scent had almost marinated her.
Chi Jingyan’s face turned red, and her eyes flickered for a moment.
But before she could continue to speak, she heard Jiang Mengyu say faintly, “It was just mutual consent.”
Chi Jingyan’s body instantly stiffened, and the blush on her face gradually faded. “What do you mean, mutual consent…”
Did Jiang Mengyu not want to admit it?!
The atmosphere in the room suddenly fell into silence. No one spoke for a long while.
Seeing that Jiang Mengyu had frowned, Chi Jingyan’s heart became even more stuffy. But she had also come to understand Jiang Mengyu’s duplicitous personality now. What this person said was not necessarily what she was thinking in her heart.
Saying the opposite of what one meant was so hurtful. No wonder Jiang Mengyu would be angry at her.
Chi Jingyan finally experienced what Jiang Mengyu had felt back then.
After her disappointment, Chi Jingyan comforted herself again. No rush, she still had time to take it slow.
She endured the discomfort in her waist and leaned over to hug Jiang Mengyu’s waist.
“Then… I’ll continue to work hard and try to make you no longer angry as soon as possible, okay?”
Jiang Mengyu: “…Don’t waste your energy.”
It’s not a waste of energy.
Chi Jingyan thought, if everything she did was really a waste of energy, then how did she end up in bed with Jiang Mengyu last night?
“I’m willing to do all of this myself,” Chi Jingyan raised her head and kissed the corner of Jiang Mengyu’s lips.
“Next, how do you want to get your revenge on me?”
“I’ll listen to you.”
Chi Jingyan tilted her head. “Or…”
“Do you also want to make a collar for me and lock me up?”
