The corner of Tsukiyomi Ruri’s mouth twitched.
In the past, Reincarnators always carried their cards on their person. But that was clearly no longer the case now. Had the Reincarnation Space provided each Reincarnator with a personal pocket dimension, allowing them to retrieve cards at will?
If she had known that, she would have threatened them into willingly handing over their cards to build up her own reserve first. An Emperor-Level Reincarnator with only a single white N-Grade card in hand was simply too shameful.

As Tsukiyomi Ruri pondered this, she couldn’t help but sigh internally again.
Her gaze shifted forward. Regardless of the previous explosion, the Two Realms Passage remained exactly where it was.
“Are you going back?” Tsukiyomi Ruri asked the Ghost Girl beside her.
The Ghost Girl looked at the Two Realms Passage and replied, “Of course I want to go back… Thank you.”
Even though many unexpected things had happened, she now had a chance to return to her original world. It was all thanks to Tsukiyomi Ruri, so the Ghost Girl felt some genuine gratitude towards her.
“Before I go, please allow me to introduce myself,” the Ghost Girl said to Tsukiyomi Ruri, performing a ladylike curtsy. “My name is Leona Kravitz. You can call me Leona.”
Tsukiyomi Ruri nodded. “My name is Tsukiyomi Ruri.”
“Then, Tsukiyomi Ruri, goodbye.” The Ghost Girl, Leona, waved and prepared to enter the Two Realms Passage.
“Wait,” Tsukiyomi Ruri called out, stopping Leona. “Before you leave, why don’t you tell me about the world you come from?”
“Our world? It’s just a world full of ghosts, nothing particularly special.” Leona paused, then proceeded to give Tsukiyomi Ruri an overview of that world.
A world full of ghosts?
Had she visited a Reincarnation World like that in her past life?
Listening to Leona’s description, Tsukiyomi Ruri fell into thought, then said to Leona, “I understand. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. If there’s nothing else, I’ll really be going this time. Goodbye.” Leona nodded to Tsukiyomi Ruri, turned, and entered the Two Realms Passage.
Tsukiyomi Ruri looked at the Two Realms Passage, lost in thought.
Just as she was considering how to handle this passage, Leona, who had just entered, came scrambling back out in a panic.
“Tsukiyomi Ruri!” Leona cried out, rushing towards her in sheer terror.
Tsukiyomi Ruri: “???”
She tilted her head, bewildered.
Leona hurriedly explained, “This passage is closing! It’s starting from the other end! I can’t cross through anymore! What do we do?”
Closing?
Tsukiyomi Ruri was taken aback, then said, “If you can’t cross through, I don’t know what to do either.”
The transformation of the Two Realms Passage had already reached this end. The portal rapidly shrank, then vanished completely right before Tsukiyomi Ruri and Leona’s eyes.
Leona: “…”
She had thought she was finally going home. Was it still impossible?
Tsukiyomi Ruri pondered for a moment. “Perhaps the earlier explosion stimulated the passage, causing it to close. That’s the only plausible explanation I can think of.”
“I feel like I could cry a river,” Leona said, her heart completely crushed.
“Ghosts can’t cry,” Tsukiyomi Ruri remarked, glancing at Leona.
Leona’s heart shattered a little more.
If Tsukiyomi Ruri hadn’t called her back to ask those questions, would she have had the chance to cross through before it closed? Still, this wasn’t something she could rightfully blame Tsukiyomi Ruri for.
Tsukiyomi Ruri said to Leona, “I was planning to wait here a while longer to see if I can catch the Demon Spirit Group’s Commander, Kiryoki. What about you?”
Leona fell silent for a moment, then said, “I can only follow you.”
Tsukiyomi Ruri didn’t mind. “You can follow if you want.”
So her gain from this trip was a ghost sidekick? Looking at Leona, who seemed quite cute, Tsukiyomi Ruri gladly accepted this outcome.
While waiting, Tsukiyomi Ruri also took a look at what was inside the collapsed room to the left of the passage. She found that it had apparently just been a living quarters for the Demon Spirit Group members, filled with everyday supplies.
These supplies all looked perfectly ordinary, nothing worth noting.
Gradually, noon passed.
She hadn’t managed to catch Kiryoki, but Tsukiyomi Ruri’s stomach began to growl.
Although she was immensely powerful, possessing enough energy to easily defeat almost any Reincarnator, energy couldn’t be eaten as a meal.
So, Tsukiyomi Ruri decided to end her stakeout.
“I’m heading back.” Tsukiyomi Ruri stood up and started walking out.
Leona panicked. “Why would you go out now? Noon just passed, didn’t it? Your shadow will be very small at this time. It’s not convenient for me to follow you. I could accidentally be struck by the sunlight.”
Tsukiyomi Ruri said, “That’s not a problem. While searching that room on the left earlier, I saw an umbrella.”
As she spoke, Tsukiyomi Ruri walked over, picked up a black umbrella, and opened it. This umbrella was quite lucky—aside from getting a bit dirty during the collapse, it wasn’t overly damaged.
Seeing the umbrella, Leona breathed a sigh of relief.
“Let’s go.” Tsukiyomi Ruri said, and stepped outside with the umbrella.
Leona followed.
As they walked out, Tsukiyomi Ruri let Leona hold the umbrella for a moment, then she took off her shoe, placed the Updraft card inside, and put her shoe back on.
Leona watched this and couldn’t help but comment, “Can’t you just carry a backpack? Hiding your things there just looks so strange.”
Tsukiyomi Ruri took the umbrella back and said, “What’s the big deal? I don’t have athlete’s foot. Don’t believe me? You can take a sniff.”
Leona: “…”
Tsukiyomi Ruri returned to the school.
She had simply come to the school out of habit, but regretted it the moment she arrived. School was just getting out for the day. Why did she come here now? And worse, she was spotted by Izumi Shirayuki.
Izumi Shirayuki saw Tsukiyomi Ruri and immediately rushed over, dragging Inoue Keiko with her. She grabbed Tsukiyomi Ruri’s hands. “Tsukiyomi-san, let’s sneak into the school tonight to investigate the floating desks and chairs in the Music Classroom!”
Tsukiyomi Ruri: “…”
She already knew the reason behind the floating desks and chairs. Would it be too late to sell out Leona now?
“I’m really, really curious about the phenomenon in the Music Classroom,” Izumi Shirayuki said eagerly.
Behind her, Inoue Keiko nodded subconsciously. She, too, found it truly bizarre that such a strange phenomenon as floating furniture was happening at their school.
