Cats were fast.
In less than half an hour, Shen Ke spotted a gas station ahead.
It had a convenience store. Her eyes lit up, and she sped up, arriving in an instant.
Shen Ke twitched her ears, sensing something off. It was too quiet.
She glanced back and saw the little calico guide hadn’t followed.
Maybe because it was remote.
Thinking that, Shen Ke shifted back to human form.
But the white fur on her chest and below didn’t vanish.
She fully beast-transformed, which burst her clothes and pants. Without fur covering, she’d be fully naked in human form.
Shen Ke puffed her cheeks. “Better find clothes first.”
She circled the gas station and found the little supermarket.
It looked untouched, clean and neat.
But the moment she stepped inside, a chill-inducing aura swept over her.
Shen Ke’s eyes widened. She turned to leave, but something blocked the entrance—an invisible barrier stopping her.
The once-clean store now reeked of blood, filled with chewing sounds.
Shen Ke stiffly turned her head. No more shelves of goods—instead, corpses littered the floor.
In the farthest corner, a long-haired zombie gnawed on an arm.
The zombie noticed her and slowly raised its head.
Grayish-white face, hollow pupils, half its face rotted.
Shen Ke shuddered. Something was wrong. In the past half year, no zombie had ever made her feel afraid.
Moreover, she clearly saw a clean supermarket.
But what if what she saw from the beginning was an illusion?
Shen Ke remembered that some ability users had the supernatural ability of illusion, which could create fake scenes to confuse others.
That zombie stood up and started roaring at Shen Ke.
Shen Ke clenched her fists tightly. A frightening idea emerged in her mind: this zombie had a supernatural ability!
Shen Ke was scared by her own thought. The zombie rushed toward her, but her limbs felt as heavy as lead. She couldn’t move, not even beast transform.
Shen Ke grew anxious, her eyes reddening. Why couldn’t she move? She didn’t want to be bitten by the zombie!
The zombie drew closer and closer. Shen Ke could already smell the stench from its mouth. Staring at the ferocious face right in front of her, Shen Ke suddenly closed her eyes.
But the expected pain never came. Shen Ke slowly opened her eyes. In front of her was only a headless body, swaying unsteadily before toppling to the side the next moment.
Shen Ke’s legs went soft. She fell butt-first to the ground and burst into tears. “Too hateful!” She had truly been terrified, thinking she would die right there.
Her exposed snow-white skin was dyed pink, like a ripe peach or a lychee, white and crystal clear after its shell was peeled away.
A clear, melodious laugh sounded in her ear. Shen Ke frowned and looked over, snapping viciously, “Are you mocking me?!”
Wen Zhao squatted down, coming face-to-face with Shen Ke. The fragrance on Shen Ke stood out especially in this space.
Fragrant enough to be addictive.
Wen Zhao shook her head, her pure black pupils filled with innocence and purity. “I just think I arrived quite timely.”
Shen Ke wiped away her tears. Without them blocking her view, she saw the newcomer’s face clearly.
She couldn’t help but demand, “Hey, do you know someone named Wen Su?” This girl looked just like Wen Su.
Wen Zhao smiled sweetly. “Sorry, I don’t know her.” She stood up, gripping her long knife, and walked over to the zombie head that had just been severed. With the long knife, she split it in half.
Shen Ke’s heart jolted. She quickly stood up. “Hey! What are you doing!” Black, foul-smelling brain matter spilled all over the ground.
A nearly cruel innocence gleamed in Wen Zhao’s eyes as she squatted down and reached her hand into that half-head.
Shen Ke frowned deeply. “What exactly are you—” She didn’t finish her words, for she saw this person pull a white crystal from the zombie’s head.
Wen Zhao said, “An unexpected find.”
She casually wiped it with a piece of cloth from the corpse before tucking the crystal into the small bag she carried.
Shen Ke walked over and asked, “Hey, what was that just now?”
Wen Zhao smiled. “That’s a crystal nucleus. The zombie must have evolved a supernatural ability.”
Shen Ke’s face changed drastically at those words. Her eye corners and nose tip were still tinged pink, her eyelashes wet with tears. When she blinked, she looked especially cute.
She leaned close to Wen Zhao and demanded angrily, “How do you know that?”
Wen Zhao didn’t answer the question. Instead, her gaze drifted downward as she pointed at Shen Ke’s chest. “Do you really want to talk to me like this?”
Shen Ke looked down, and her face flushed completely red. At some point, the hair down there had vanished.
She was completely naked now.
Her mounds and pink tips brazenly faced her, close enough that they nearly brushed against her.
“You can’t look at me!” Shen Ke’s cheeks burned red with anger, her eyes brimming with tears as if they would fall with the slightest blink.
Wen Zhao closed her eyes, her long eyelashes casting a shadow beneath them.
She had never realized before how cute Ke Mama was, even at twenty-eight.
Hmm, all pink up top and down below. So cute.
Shen Ke disdained wearing clothes from a corpse, but she couldn’t face what looked like a seventeen- or eighteen-year-old girl in such an undressed state.
She found a relatively clean corpse, stripped off its shirt, and put it on. She couldn’t stomach taking the pants, though.
Shen Ke grew some hair to cover her lower parts, then slipped on the shirt. “Okay, you can open your eyes now.”
Wen Zhao opened her eyes and looked over.
The shirt just covered Shen Ke’s butt but left her long legs exposed—slim yet not scrawny, with pink knees that looked tender and fresh.
Wen Zhao had seen those long legs splayed in an M-shape before. Very pretty. Very erotic.
With clothes on, Shen Ke seemed to gain some confidence. She asked Wen Zhao, “Hey, what’s your name? You seem pretty strong. How about following me from now on? I’m an ability user.” She spoke with her nose practically in the air, completely forgetting how she had just collapsed to the ground in tears moments ago.
Wen Zhao tilted her head, subtly withdrawing her gaze from Shen Ke’s long legs. She answered leisurely, “I’m called Shen Yao. I’m eighteen this year, and I’m an ability user too. I can follow you, but I have one condition.”
Shen Ke tsked. “Spit it out. What’s the condition?”
Wen Zhao’s eyes curved into a smile. “Be responsible for feeding me.”
Shen Ke agreed without a second thought. How much could one girl eat? The condition was too easy.
Plus, she was an ability user who hadn’t even needed to use her supernatural ability—just one slash of her knife had dealt with a zombie Shen Ke couldn’t handle. She seemed very strong.
All she wanted was food. Shen Ke figured she was coming out ahead.
Wen Zhao saw every bit of the scheming on Shen Ke’s face.
She smiled without a word. The “feeding” she wanted wasn’t about food.
Shen Ke turned and headed outward. “Alright, next I’ll take you back to the base.” She paid no mind to whether Wen Zhao had family or a place to live. An agreement was an agreement—she had to follow.
“Next, we’ll go scavenge for supplies. You have to stick close to me.”
“Right, what’s your supernatural ability?”
“Snake.”
“Beast-type like mine. Not bad…”
Shen Ke realized that bringing along Shen Yao had been the right decision. After seeing Shen Yao beast transform into a black giant snake, its venomous spit from its fangs corroding all the zombies completely, Shen Ke grew even happier.
She had acquired a capable subordinate. She could form a team entirely her own.
The sun gradually set. The scorching day gave way to a frigid night.
It was time to head back. The world outside at night was extremely dangerous—not just from extreme weather, but also zombies and mutated plants, animals, and insects.
On the way back, Shen Ke gradually found she couldn’t keep walking. She usually had a vehicle for team missions. Coming out alone today and walking this far had left her with no strength.
“Shen Yao, I can’t walk anymore. Carry me.” Shen Ke commanded the girl a decade younger without a shred of guilt.
Who asked Shen Yao to look completely unfatigued?
Wen Zhao stopped in place.
Shen Ke kicked at her. “What? Unwilling?”
Wen Zhao turned her head, her gaze falling on Shen Ke’s nose tip, long lashes, and ruby-red lips. “No. It’s just… you haven’t fed me yet.”
Shen Ke wrinkled her nose and snorted coldly. “Didn’t I scrounge up some chocolate for you?”
Wen Zhao leaned close to Shen Ke and whispered softly, “The feeding I mean isn’t this.”
She reached out, cradling the back of Shen Ke’s head, and steadily captured her lips.
Shen Ke’s eyes flew wide. “Mmph—!” Let go!
Her hands pressed against Wen Zhao’s chest, pushing hard, but Wen Zhao’s body was like bedrock. She couldn’t budge her.
Her lips were pried apart. Wen Zhao’s kiss was unpracticed and raw.
But Shen Ke’s hands and feet gradually softened. Held against a tree trunk, her coquettish whimpers occasionally leaked from their joined lips.
Her thighs were lifted, calves hooked around Wen Zhao’s waist.
The two kissed intimately.
It was a long time before Wen Zhao reluctantly released Shen Ke’s lips. She murmured, “Tastes even better than I imagined.” She didn’t understand why Mama never touched Ke Mama.
Well, she had ideas of her own. Mama might not act, but she wouldn’t hold back.
Shen Ke panted for breath. She hadn’t caught what Wen Zhao had just said. She took a deep breath, steadied herself, then rasped in a voice sweet to the extreme, “Y-Your kissing skills are pretty good.”
Shen Ke didn’t know this was her first kiss. In her memories, she and Wen Su had done it many times—kissed many times.
Wen Zhao had heard such a sweet voice before, back when Ke Mama had fallen under Mama’s mental control and sunk into an illusion.
But this time, the voice came because of her.
The thought was pleasurable.
Wen Zhao extended one leg against the tree trunk, seating Shen Ke atop it.
Hearing the ambiguous coquettish hum by her ear, Wen Zhao arched her body and laughed. “This is what I want.”
Shen Ke tilted her head back, her hands hooking around Wen Zhao’s neck. Her fingers rubbed ambiguously as she breathed hotly onto Wen Zhao’s face. “Do this kind of thing… and you’ll work for me?”
Wen Zhao leaned down and kissed Shen Ke’s face. “Of course.” She shifted the leg Shen Ke was straddling and unsurprisingly heard a low moan.
“Feed me until I’m full, and I’ll do anything for you.”
Shen Ke narrowed her eyes, weighing the pros and cons. She found no downsides.
She would gain both an assistant and a bedmate. Plus, Shen Yao’s body was cool to the touch, perfect for relieving the heat when she went into heat.
Shen Ke tightened her fingers and proactively offered her lips.
