Jingjing replied calmly, “That’s right. Apart from us, the rest of the Demon Cultivators have already perished. As for how they died… you’ve been hiding from the very beginning, so you should be able to guess the correct answer, shouldn’t you?”
Bai Sha couldn’t help but smile. “I presume they all died at your hands, Senior. As the only Demon Cultivator here in the Heaven and Earth Vat who has reached the Demon Core level, if you wanted to make a move, no one could possibly stand against you.”
“Good that you understand.” Jingjing looked at Bai Sha with deep intent. “Don’t blame me. If you want to blame anyone, blame the Devil Cultivators of the Heavenly Devil Palace. If not for them, I wouldn’t have to slaughter every other Demon Cultivator just to carve out a sliver of hope for myself.”
A faint trace of sorrow laced her voice.
Everything was just to stay alive.
Hearing this, Bai Sha retorted, “Even if you kill me and become the sole Demon Cultivator remaining in the Heaven and Earth Vat, Senior, does that truly mean you can become the final victor?”
Jingjing had already come close. She looked at Bai Sha and said, “I understand what you mean. You’re suggesting that more Demon Cultivators will be thrown into the Heaven and Earth Vat next, right? That situation will certainly occur, but it doesn’t matter how many come. I just need to kill them all.”
Bai Sha asked earnestly, “Is Senior certain she can keep winning?”
“Naturally,” Jingjing’s voice was firm and resolute. “Because I have already formed a Demon Core. That is my capital.”
Perhaps because Bai Sha was the last Demon Cultivator, and killing her would make the Heaven and Earth Vat fall into desolate silence, Jingjing didn’t rush to act.
Bai Sha also recognized Jingjing’s intent.
In front of a Demon Cultivator at the Demon Core level, what difference did it make if a Qi Condensation Demon Cultivator lived a little longer? Nothing would change.
After a moment’s thought, Bai Sha asked, “Does Senior know the situation with the Heavenly Devil Palace?”
“At a time like this, you’re still concerned about such things?” Jingjing looked at Bai Sha strangely.
Bai Sha smiled faintly. “I’ve always had an intense curiosity. If I don’t get to the bottom of many things, I can’t sleep at night.”
Even though she said this, Jingjing still found Bai Sha peculiar.
Yet, she still spoke. “The Heavenly Devil Palace’s goal is to refine the Ten Thousand Demon Sea Map. What exact level of Magical Tool it is remains unknown, but requiring the refinement of all Demon Cultivators in the entire Eastern Sea… one can imagine how high its tier must be. Far beyond what you or I can fathom.”
Bai Sha already knew this purpose; now she had mere confirmation.
“Do you know when the Heavenly Devil Palace sealed off the Eastern Sea?” Bai Sha asked another question.
“It hasn’t been too long,” Jingjing thought for a moment, then provided a specific timeframe.
Bai Sha calculated this timeframe and reached a conclusion.
The Heavenly Devil Palace must have sealed the Eastern Sea around Day 35 of her simulation.
Learning this was very important to Bai Sha. Energized, she wanted to ask Jingjing more about the Heavenly Devil Palace. But just as she was about to inquire, a sudden violent fluctuation of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy came from the seawater outside.
Jingjing also sensed this disturbance. Her expression shifted drastically. She immediately dashed outside to see the situation.
“A new batch of pet candidates has arrived?”
Bai Sha roughly guessed the situation.
She didn’t hide any longer either, moving toward the outside.
Arriving outside the undersea cave, she saw at a glance in the seawater above, numerous silhouettes of Demon Cultivators had appeared. They were locked in fierce combat against each other. Many had already perished in the seawater, blood continuously spreading through the water.
