Other Demon Cultivators might not know that the Heavenly Devil Palace had sealed off the Eastern Sea, but how could Bai Sha not know?
Under these circumstances, anyone who approached the edge of the Eastern Sea would be captured and executed by the Devil Cultivators of the Di Society, a subordinate of the Heavenly Devil Palace. It was naturally impossible for the unremarkable Black Rock Turtle before them to have gone ashore to obtain any chicken legs.
Hearing Bai Sha say this, the Black Rock Turtle looked wronged and said loudly, “Don’t spout nonsense! How could I possibly sell spoiled food? These are absolutely the freshest!”
“The freshest?”
Bai Sha naturally didn’t believe him.
She tugged Yin Sha with her pectoral fin and headed out, saying, “Let’s go, let’s go, Sister Yin Sha. Don’t forget why you came here. Don’t get distracted by these things.”
Yin Sha was reluctantly pulled away.
The Black Rock Turtle watched this glumly. He hadn’t expected a business deal to be ruined just like that.
Only when they were some distance away did Yin Sha withdraw her gaze and then begin searching the various stalls for a suitable Dao Foundation.
Bai Sha followed Yin Sha as she browsed slowly.
After browsing for a good while, Yin Sha’s face no longer showed any excitement. In her entire circuit, she hadn’t seen even a single Mid-Grade Dao Foundation. She had seen three Low-Grade Dao Foundations, though.
As a Demon Cultivator with aspirations, it was impossible for Yin Sha to choose a Low-Grade Dao Foundation.
“Nothing. Absolutely nothing.” Yin Sha’s eyes were full of regret.
This result was within Bai Sha’s expectations.
Bai Sha could only comfort her: “Sister Yin Sha, let’s browse a few more rounds. Maybe some Demon Cultivators just haven’t arrived yet.”
Yin Sha nodded. “That seems to be our only option.”
They continued swimming through the marketplace.
As time passed, more and more Demon Cultivators did indeed arrive at the marketplace, and various new items were put out on the stalls.
The most commonly traded thing was Spells.
This was because after a Spell was traded away, one could still continue to trade it with other people without personally losing anything extra.
Some Demon Cultivators even specialized in exchanging Spell for Spell, thereby allowing themselves to acquire more Spells, which they could then use in large quantities to trade for various items.
But this practice was not without its risks.
With Spells, it was impossible to discern if what the other party gave you was the complete version or a fragmented version before you actually learned it. So the probability of being deceived was not small.
Bai Sha didn’t have to worry about such things. If anyone dared to deceive her, she would simply settle accounts with them in the next life.
Thus, over the following period, Bai Sha successively traded with different Demon Cultivators and exchanged for over a dozen Spells.
These dozen or so Spells were currently just theoretical knowledge. Whether she could actually learn them would require trying them out later.
“Bai Sha, I see a friend. I’ll be right back.”
Yin Sha said this while looking into the distance.
Following Yin Sha’s gaze, Bai Sha looked in that direction, but there were too many Demon Cultivators over there, and she didn’t know who Yin Sha was referring to. She simply decided to follow Yin Sha over.
As she drew closer, Bai Sha realized who Yin Sha’s friend was, because the other party had also noticed them and was approaching.
‘This is Yin Sha’s friend? I’ve never heard about her in previous lives.’
Bai Sha curiously sized up the newcomer.
It was a Demon Cultivator resembling a dolphin, its skin exceptionally snow-white, as if condensed from ice and snow, appearing quite beautiful.
This was a Demon Cultivator of the Ice Snow Dolphin race!
“Yin Sha, you came too.”
The Ice Snow Dolphin greeted Yin Sha as she approached, her voice cool and clear, distinctly female. It wasn’t that she was cold, but rather that her timbre was naturally rather cool and clear.
“Long time no see, Bingning,” Yin Sha greeted, then introduced her: “This is my friend, Bai Sha, now the Second King of my White Shark Territory.”
She first introduced Bai Sha to Bingning, then introduced Bingning to Bai Sha.
Bai Sha said politely, “Very pleased to meet you, Young Miss Bingning.”
Bingning seemed to consider this for a moment, then asked, “How pleased?”
“Uh…” Bai Sha paused. “As pleased as when a flower blooms?”
Bingning looked slightly surprised. “That pleased? But why are you so pleased to meet me?”
Bai Sha looked at Bingning with a strange expression.
Was there something wrong with Bingning’s train of thought?
She glanced at Yin Sha and saw Yin Sha looking on with a smiling expression, making it clear that she was already quite accustomed to Bingning’s nature.
Bai Sha could only tell Bingning, “Because being able to make a new friend is, in itself, something to be happy about.”
“Is it?” Bingning tilted her head, thinking.
“Alright, alright, let’s not worry about that question,” Yin Sha said with a cheerful smile. “Bingning, did you come to the marketplace because you have something you want to buy?”
Bingning shook her head. “I don’t have anything I want to buy. I’m just waiting here for a friend to go explore Lost Island together.”
Yin Sha’s eyes showed confusion. “Lost Island? What’s that?”
“You don’t know?” Bingning gave a brief explanation. “Lost Island is an island that recently appeared on the sea’s surface. That location never had an island before. No one knows how this island suddenly emerged. Everyone just calls it Lost Island. Rumor has it that there are many treasures within Lost Island, so many Demon Cultivators are calling out to their friends to go explore it together. I also plan to check it out. If I could find a Dao Foundation suitable for me to use to break through to Foundation Establishment, that would be great.”
Clearly, Bingning was also at Late Qi Condensation.
Upon hearing this, Yin Sha’s eyes immediately lit up. “Is there still an opportunity to obtain a Dao Foundation on Lost Island?”
Bingning answered, “I can’t say for certain. I’m just going with the mindset of giving it a try. I don’t have anything else to do lately anyway.”
Yin Sha immediately asked, “This Lost Island, can you take me along to have a look?”
Bingning nodded. “That’s naturally possible. Lost Island doesn’t belong to me. You can come if you want to.”
Seeing this, Bai Sha also came to an understanding.
Yin Sha’s destined opportunity was most likely on this Lost Island.
‘Lost Island… I never heard of it in the previous reincarnations. But if Yin Sha can use this opportunity to break through to Foundation Establishment, the danger should be limited.’
Bai Sha thought to herself.
Yin Sha was very satisfied with the news she’d received. She said to Bai Sha, “Bai Sha, I plan to go take a look at this Lost Island. Do you plan to come with me, or go back to White Shark Territory first?”
Bai Sha replied without hesitation, “Of course, I will act together with you, Sister Yin Sha.”
Yin Sha happily said, “Good, then we’ll act together. Best case scenario, we all get a suitable Dao Foundation, hehe. Right, Bingning, when will the friend you’re waiting for arrive? Is it someone I know?”
Bingning answered, “She will arrive shortly. You probably don’t know her. I’ll introduce you when she gets here.”
