50. Premonition
“You’ll take responsibility, won’t you?”
Unconsciously, she blurted out these words. Then, her tail coiled around Calysia’s waist, rubbing against her fair skin, which was interesting.
Being held by Calysia wasn’t actually that bad. It was the same as before. Since becoming pregnant, Reina would even ask Calysia to hold her with her wings, which gave her a greater sense of security.
She still remembered the feeling of having a dragon egg, from a dream not long ago. In the dream, she had not only laid a dragon egg but also incubated it and was even pregnant with another one. The ending she had originally been resisting, she had accepted for some inexplicable reason, she didn’t know why.
After speaking, a droplet fell from Reina’s chest, tracing a wet path on her flat belly. A casual sentence, yet it caused a strong emotional fluctuation in Calysia.
Reina had to start caressing the dragon horns on Calysia’s pure little head. She had originally wanted to pat her head, but because she couldn’t see, she touched her dragon horns instead.
She suddenly felt quite happy. The fact that Calysia was willing to cry in front of her meant that she trusted her. Reina leaned over and licked the tear stains on Calysia’s face with her tongue.
For some reason, she suddenly remembered that dragon tears were a top-grade medicinal ingredient. Wouldn’t the Dragon King’s tears also be a precious item?
“Hey, Little Cal, are you actually a crybaby?”
Calysia wiped her tears.
“I’ve only cried in front of you.”
Reina was speechless for a moment, and the two just lay in bed.
About five minutes passed, and Calysia’s sobs subsided. Only then did she get up from the bed. She took the Divine Sea Pearl and gently put it on for Reina, and then, like caressing a kitten, she began to give her a full-body massage. Reina suddenly felt that she was the one who was the Dragon King, lounging at home.
Reina calmed down. She roughly knew what Calysia was worried about.
And the reason why she cried.
But she didn’t want to continue thinking about those things. Before the truth came to light, there was no need to know. Since she had chosen a path, she would never turn back, never give up halfway, and never go against her own heart.
But Calysia would definitely not think so.
Unlike her, Calysia was a simple child. For the sake of love, she would do anything. She was a standard dragon who had fallen in love, especially in the current courtship stage. Her heart was probably filled with countless troubles, insurmountable obstacles.
—As expected, it still required Reina’s personal intervention!
“Calysia, I think I understand now, about my identity.”
Reina’s sudden words made Calysia’s body tremble. Logically, she knew that Calysia would look away and not reveal her thoughts. Not being able to see anything would definitely have a considerable impact.
“Reina…”
“Calysia, no matter who I am, I am your thing.”
…
Reina’s tail uncoiled from Calysia and wagged happily. Although she couldn’t see Calysia’s body, she tried to find her scent and snuggled up to her.
“I have always been your vassal, today, tomorrow, and in the future~”
Hearing this, Calysia opened her mouth but didn’t say anything, continuing to massage Reina. But Reina already knew that Calysia was trying her best to restrain her emotions, because she simply couldn’t refuse this kind of trust and affection.
The “managing Calysia” plan was a great success~
As expected, as the person who knew Calysia best, controlling her was a piece of cake.
“Don’t♡ worry about me, I’m your thing. You can… play with me as you please~”
Sensing Calysia’s sadness, Reina resorted to this desperate measure.
And as expected, after Calysia finished massaging Reina’s tail, considering that Reina couldn’t see anything, she turned Reina over and then lay on top of her, starting to kiss her lips like a spoiled kitten.
The process was intense. She could clearly hear Calysia’s heartbeat, but perhaps due to the dragon egg in her belly, she didn’t start her usual shenanigans, but still gave Reina a feeling of being in heaven… Her hands were very gentle.
The darkness of her blindness magnified this feeling tenfold. She couldn’t help but actively wrap her thighs around Calysia’s waist, forcing them closer. When Calysia’s body was drenched in her scent, Reina was already limp on the bed.
Unfortunately, Calysia wasn’t like before, satisfied after just one time.
This surprised Reina quite a bit. This “selling of her body” didn’t seem to have much effect.
Calysia probably had some other goal she hadn’t achieved yet.
Just then, Reina remembered the [God-Binding Collar].
“I’ll go cook for you. I recently learned how to make potatoes. I’ll make them for you, and then we’ll go back to sleep.”
Just as she was about to say something, Calysia left her, kissing her forehead before she went. The moment she was released from the warm environment, and Reina’s body was once again invaded by the slightly cool air, she actually panicked.
This panic wasn’t unfounded. Out of a mother’s instinct to protect the dragon egg, leaving the warmth and safety of her mate was a dangerous thing to do, and her blindness reduced her sense of security to an all-time low.
—When would she see Calysia next? It was completely unpredictable.
Reina hated variables the most, and Calysia now seemed to be becoming that “variable…” as long as the dragon egg was still there.
“Wait…”
Reina reached out and touched the hem of Calysia’s skirt.
The moment she touched her skirt, her body trembled involuntarily.
She suddenly imagined herself and the dragon egg spending a miserable winter in the cold, and her nose tingled, tears seeping from under the white cloth covering her eyes.
“Can you… not leave me?”
“Reina?”
Calysia sounded a little surprised, her voice becoming cheerful, instead of the previous sadness and anger, which reassured Reina. But because she was relieved, the “weak” part of her mind took over, and she couldn’t help but cry out, following her instincts.
Being blind was really too annoying!
“Sob, sob, sob…”
“Don’t leave me… I… I… sob, sob…”
Reina cried her eyes out. Thinking of herself as a mother, unable to protect the dragon egg in her belly because she couldn’t see, guilt, sadness, and resentment all intertwined, turning into a pitiful plea in front of her powerful mate. Reina wanted to remain calm, but she simply couldn’t resist the instincts from the depths of her heart.
Calysia’s heart almost melted.
She quickly returned to Reina’s side, one hand on her belly, the other wrapped around her shoulder. She was surprised that the current Reina even treated her as a source of comfort, and what surprised her even more was Reina’s current reaction, which was very close to [that state]!
“Little Vassal,” Calysia said, blushing. “The dragon egg is developing very quickly, and it’s very healthy…”
“It won’t be long before we can incubate it~”
