Chapter 2: Sister Must Miss Me Too!

Su Jianyue spent half an hour washing herself clean, then changed into a fresh set of pajamas. She picked up her phone and saw that her sister had finally replied to her.

Mo Fanxing: Sis, I was just in class. I won’t be done with evening self-study until 9:30, so you won’t see me until tonight.

Mo Yuxin was amused by her daughter. It took a while to finally push the clingy girl away from her embrace. “Why are you home today? Isn’t tomorrow Friday? Not playing at school?”

Su Jianyue’s eyes lit up, and she immediately pulled her Mommy to tell her about her plans for tomorrow. “I’m going to Linhai City tomorrow to find Sister, and Sister agreed. I’m leaving first thing in the morning.”

Mo Yuxin hummed twice, her gaze teasingly glancing at her daughter. “Linhai City is almost becoming your second home. How about I buy you a large apartment there?”

Su Jianyue quickly shook her head and refused. “No, no, I’m perfectly fine staying at Sister Xunxun’s house. If I had my own place, I wouldn’t be able to stay at Sister’s house.”

Mo Yuxin was amused. “Alright, alright, so it all boils down to wanting to stick to your sister, right?”

Mo Yuxin nodded. “Okay, your sister misses you, is that good enough?”

“Hehe, I’m going to see Sister tomorrow, so I won’t be able to spend time with you and Mommy. So today, I’ll spend more time with both of you,” Su Jianyue said thoughtfully.

Su Yubing glared at her daughter. “You, now you only have your sister in your heart. Including this time, this is your fourth trip to Linhai City this year, isn’t it?”

“Mhm mhm, I can’t help it. Sister must miss me too, she’s just too shy to say it.”

Su Yubing was amused by her and reached out to tap her. “Conceited.”

“Not at all! Who told Mama and Mommy to give birth to such a cute me!”

This time, not only Su Yubing but also the several aunts in the house were amused by her.

When Mo Yuxin came downstairs, she saw everyone laughing. “What’s wrong? What happened that was so funny?”

“Mommy, Mama and them are all laughing at me!” Su Jianyue saw Mo Yuxin come downstairs and immediately ran over to complain to Mo Yuxin.

Mo Yuxin glanced at her, her eyes curving into a smile. Her little moon has always been a little sun since childhood. Wherever she is, laughter and joy never cease.

The three of them played around for a while before heading to the dining room for dinner.

In the evening, Su Jianyue returned to her room to pack her luggage. She was only going for three days this time, so she didn’t need to bring too much, just a few changes of clothes.

She packed the things she needed for tomorrow, then wrapped the gift she had prepared in several layers of soft cloth, placed foam padding at the bottom, and then put it in the box.

It was a palm-sized pink jade piglet, which Su Jianyue had carved herself in her spare time. The machines and tools at home were readily available, and since her Mommy now worked at her studio, the home workshop was empty.

She had whined to Mommy for several days before Mommy started teaching her to carve in her free time.

Initially, Mommy had her practice with inexpensive jade materials. This pink jade piglet was the result of a year of practice.

She had spent several days carving it. Although the finished product couldn’t compare to her Mommy’s, it was her heartfelt effort. The little jade pig also had the words “Little Moon” carved on it. Su Jianyue thought that by giving this to her sister, it would be like she was always by her sister’s side.

After finishing these tasks, she checked the time. Su Jianyue went downstairs, planning to get some orange juice and see if her sister was back yet.

She waited in the living room for a while, and then Mo Fanxing came home.

Seeing her sister at home, Mo Fanxing’s eyes lit up. “Sister, did you specially wait downstairs for me?”

Su Jianyue smiled at her. “Of course. How is it? Are you tired from school? I told you long ago you need a balance of work and rest. How about you take two days off, and I’ll take you out to relax for a few days?”
